Peaceful place, super clean, cozy, nicely decorated. It’s right at the river walk and centrally located to reach most of the town landmarks.

Margarita and the rest of the staff were beyond polite and friendly and accommodating. They did everything to make sure we were comfortable and had a pleasant stay. She’s also a fantastic chef! It was a magical stay at Mompox!

Overall, we had a positive experience at this hotel. The service was good, including the breakfast. We stayed in the suite with the private pool. I only have minor suggestions/comments for improving the experience: 1) Provide a small wastebasket in the living room area, 2) Fix the leaky faucet in the right wash basin, and 3) Install shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower instead of using individual plastic bottles that harm the environment.

This hotel is an absolute gem. Super comfortable, quiet room and beautiful surroundings managed by an attentive staff. Right on the river with very nice walking in either direction. Has a pool, but it's more for adults to float around in than kids to splash and play.

Perfect location and very friendly staff. Only advice is to provide a little English-language info in the welcome package -- such as tips on local tours and transportation from Mompos.

Arrived 8pm was told hotel in renovation, should go to Sinning but back to Marquesa for bkfst. I paid for shuttle to Sinningbut no one was there so back to Marquesa. Was taken to nearby appt of owner's(?) daughter to stay in basic(!!!) room for $50,000 COP/about $18US This was espite and in addition to $207,000 i had already paid for original Marquesa reservation. How do i get my money back? Should Hotel de la Marquesa be penalized? i love your organization and thinknyou should hold your hotels to a high standard. Hotel de la Marquesa in Mompox, Colombia was horrifically deficient and disingenuous.

This was a very beautiful old house renovated to a intimate homey hotel. Only 7 rooms and everyone east breskfast table. The staff is awesome.

Beautiful Colonial home right next to the river. The staff in this place was very accommodating and prepared an excellent breakfast. The location is perfect, right in the pedestrian area of Mompos. Highly recommended.
