It was an overnighter for football on the Saturday. Been there a few times, service always great, staff are all lovely and friendly.

It was clean and comfortable with no problems. The girls on the desk were amiable and helpful.

Really friendly! Close to the station and very clean. The bathroom was a little compact but very good value for money and excellent service.

The water taps in my room were loose and leaking and the sink was cracked. The shower cubicle was too small and the shower screen was loose.
The draught beer was disgusting, stale and seemed as if the pipes hadn’t been cleaned for months and I made it known to the staff.

Great staff

The staff were excellent but the bedroom was appalling. We were allocated a small room with a double bed shoved in the corner. The bed was so old saggy and worn we couldn’t sleep. The bedrooms need a complete makeover.

It's easy to walk to this hotel from Crewe station. Not a new building and a big room, but enough for sleeping:)

All I was after was a single, comfortable bed for one night. What I got was a single, comfortable bed, on which I slept very well. The staff were all polite and friendly and provided a hearty breakfast to set me up for the next day.

Mould all over bathroom. Old and dirty.

The Waverley is a short walk from Crewe railway station, one road back from the very busy Nantwich Road, meaning it is reasonably quiet. It is a mix of older buildings and my room was quite small with a single bed, desk and wall mounted TV above the desk. The bed was OK; however the duvet was very thick, so I was either too hot under it, or too cold outside. There was a rather crinkly undersheet, but that didn't affect my sleeping. The en-suite shower worked well, though the towels were a little old.
They don't serve evening meals, although there are numerous pubs, restaurants and takeaways within 5 minutes' walk, and there's an courtyard with benches and tables at which you can sit (and eat) on warmer evenings.
Breakfast was good; a vegetarian English has no replacement protein but was generously portioned and cooked to order. There was a self-service selection of 3 juices, 4 cereals, tea/coffee, yoghurts, tinned fruit salad and whole fresh fruit.
It was reasonably priced although I paid more than I would have done in one of the chains had I booked early enough.

The hotel serves a good cooked breakfast as well having a good range of hot and cold options. The bed was comfortable but overall the hotel was tired

Very good service by friendly staff. Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast. Old fashioned feel, but clean. Only quibbles: double bed position restricted access to the bathroom, would be a squeeze for a larger person. Also very noisy in bathroom after light switched on to enable heating etc. Would return again.

There's mold on the ceiling in the bathroom The shower is small I'm a big man the top on the sink was loose I did tell the staff didn't get much sleep because of the people in the next room behind me if they're snoring all night food was good in the morning staff excellent

Overall condition of the hotel is not so good. Just to mention some of the item - room size too small, shower room very very small, bathroom floor was slippery i almost fell down, bath towel size is so small that i have never seen that in any of the hotel.

bedding smelt very musty.
Property very tired looking, I was so uncomfortable I didnt actually sleep in the bed, luckily i had jogging bottoms to wear on top of the bed covers. I had to put a t shirt over the pillow as it smelt.
I only managed to sleep for a couple of hours, as the room next to me had obviously purchased a companion for a couple of hours, and the walls were very thin.
Awful place.

A good reasonably priced hotel within a 4 min walk to the rail station. Bed was comfortable, Room was a little noisy until around midnight but that was due to other guests and not the hotels fault. Breakfast was excellent with a wide selection.

Rather a rush job but fitted the bill adequately. Hotel near railway station but was very quiet & room a good size. Bed comfortable. Lighting a bit dim but table lamp fine. Shower old but worked well. Breakfast was fine being semi self serve with main cooked to order. Portions good & a tasty breakfast. Good pleasant, staff and very helpful. I was satisfied with the venue & would use again. Less than five minutes from the railway station - ideal.

Fanrastic freshly cooked full English breakfast in the morning

My room had a green emergency light on top of the door on all day and night. I couldn't sleep properly with it. I don't understand why they leave that in a room to relax. As my room was at the beginning of a long corridor, I could hear everyone walking to their rooms. Asked for very runny poached eggs at breakfast and got near hard-boiled, the chef needs explaining how to cook eggs. Room completely spotless and clean. Friendly staff.
