The cleaning proceso and the maintanence of the room

The property itself is nice.. however if you’re not driving, transportation ( taxis) is expensive. The hotel offers a shuttle service in the morning to three locations and local transportation is accessible, which will save you a pretty penny. The rooms are spacious, staff professional not that friendly. There’s some room for improvement in the housekeeping department. My final night I went out onto the verandah to watch the water fountain show and noticed some coffee stains on the coffee table and hair that isn’t mine which means that area was not cleaned after the previous guest.

Acoya resort was a hit and miss all week. Checking was
Good, we asked for washed cloths that same night and told they don't have wash cloths, next day asked again, we were told yes we have them
3 days later at 11pm we got them.
We prepaid for
Breakfast and told them we won't be eating on sunday
Were told a breakfast box will be Available to take with us and
When we went to get our box they refused theytold us we
Would have to wait. Until 7 am, but we informed them the night before we
We’re leaving at 6:30am for our excursion. We did not
Get any breakfast, there were no exception no accommodations at all we were told they have to take pictures of the food and we would hav to wait the manager knew we were coming to get a breakfast box to go and she still refused to give us the breakfast even after we were told we were all set the night before. The wouldn’t issue us a refund because the told us that the would be providing breakfast to go
That was a lie. Also,
The free shuttle bus, is a limited time 9-2 the driver showed up at 9:30 and could only take 4 people at the time and
You have to find you way back to the resort after 2pm
It gives you no time to enjoy the beach and surrounding areas
.cabanas were dirty and unkept.pool chairs limited cushions. the chairs were extremely hot no cushions
Some staff members were rude. No good lighting In the room, beds extremely small.
Patio could be cleaner No mirrors only over the sink. Iron was broken.

I had a 4 night stay at ACOYA as first time, this was very pleasant. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
I would recommend this hotel for future stays. Unfortunately I wanted to extend my stay but the hotel was fully booked.

The staff is absolutely wonderful, everyone is so helpful and courteous. The staff goes out of their way to provide us with the experience we desired. Sunil, Tina, Eugene, and Nedrah cared us like we were royalty, going out of their way to shower us with customer service. We would have had a difficult time finding the hidden gems of Curaçao. Michael, the Food and Beverage Director, was a perfectionist, paying attention to food service, entertainment, and bar ran as smooth as a clock. The music and light show was entertaining, relaxing, and performed at poolside, where engaging with the other guests was delightful. Eugene, Head of Security, physically shared his knowledge of Curaçao with us during sightseeing.
Epsilon Scuba, Jason and Adrian, the on-site scuba center, helped me personally reacquaint myself with my love of the sea.
Thank you one and all, for “the best vacation ever”. We will be be back for next years high season.

The stay was excellent .staff friendly.the place was nice and relaxed.Iwould recommend Acoya to my friends and family.
what I did not like is that I was given a room smaller than the one I booked. When I pointed this out I had to wait till the following day to see the supervisor who was very nice and sorted it out for me.satisfied customer.

We asked for a double bedroom expecting 2 bedroom, it was a small room with a doubled bed only.

Overall an amazing stay! I loved the Acoya the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I stayed in the deluxe room and it was nice and clean. My only recommendation is to rent a car as transportation is limited and you’re not in walking distance to anything. They did have shuttles to mambo beach and Punda but only for limited times.

I decided to give Acoya one more try. This time' I stayed in a room closer to the main area in the hotel. Once again, the live music at night is simply disturbing to those not interested in participating in the evening activities. The room appeared clean but had a misty smell. I was there for work and needed to iron a couple shirts. The iron had gunk on it and started to leave marks on my clothes. I tried to borrow an iron from a colleague but they had a 110v and the hotel is 220v outfitted which is a ln indication of the age of the resort. Once again, if your looking to go to Curacao on vacation and you need amenities and you're on a budget, this could be a good option for you. Just know that the amenities are not great and it might be too noisy if you're there for work or with young kids. If you're able to secure a condo away from the main activities area, it would be better if you don't want the loud nighttime music.

Just do your research before choosing this property not everything was as it stated on the website .
Make sure you have water and plans on how to move around because “shuttle” very misleading. Also can’t buy coffee Ala carte in the morning without shelling out 26 usd for a very disappointing “buffet” breakfast .
Spa (massage) was good
Pool and pool area was cool -could use some updating
Staff friendly
Room was clean enough I wasn’t grossed out but seriously no frills .
If it’s your jam you can enjoy a circa 1980 water light show which seemed to play for an uninterested audience every night .
I stayed in the hotel part not the villas so maybe read reviews for another perspective from those guest
This hotel was the first of 4hotels I stayed on my extended trip.
I survived !

There was hardly any hot water in my room. Even though the front desk people called and informed housekeeping it still did not help. Overall the staff was very courteous and the property and rooms were well maintained. The entertainment was also a nice attraction so travelers like myself didn't have to always leave the property at night if they wanted some form of entertainment.

My first impression when I got there was check in time is supposed to be at 4pm. When I arrived at 5:30pm, my room was not ready. Once finally in the condo, I immediately noticed that the bathroom window, at ground level, had no curtains, blinds or tinting. The window faced another building just a few feet away regularly usee by maintenance. I had to make a makeshift curtain with a towel for privacy. The room was cleaned daily however and the bed was comfortable enough. The property of the resort itself is not luxurious and any condos or rooms facing the center of the hotel are treated to loud live music hosted by the hotel nightly until around 9pm or later if there is a private event (such as a wedding) the hotel gets 3 stars from me because the price was ok considering the price surge from other hotels during that busy season.

I love to stay there . Nice staff but the hotel should have a small convenience store to buy snacks or if someone needs Tylenol , Or something else. My sister doesn’t feel well, and I went to the lobby to ask for Alka seltzer and they don’t have anything.

Wifi in room was very weak. Kept losing connection. Housekeeping was cursory but efficient. Poolside restaurant had good food.

Well....... first off, I don't agree with how I was treated at the front desk. I'll leave it as that. I'll just go to a different hotel from now on.
The shower space was extremely small. Like....way to small.
3.0 / 5.0
Pictures are definitely more appealing than real life…. it was an ok place to sleep (the room was TINY with no outside space) but not a place I wanted to spend any time at. They offer shuttles to Mambo beach, the grocery store and Punda which is helpful but would recommend renting a car or staying somewhere more central.
I used the gym daily, it was filthy, disorganized and had very few weights / pieces of equipment to use- no free weights at all, just plates that go onto a rusty bar and leave rust on your hands when you try and improvise and one pair of kettle bells….

This property was a great stay. There were a lot of factors that didn’t allow me to give this a 10/10. Currently, the gym and spa are under renovations. I did get a massage from Christine that was great in an alternate location the resort provided. They are upgrading right now so they can have no control of that. It was just closed at the time that I went. The room looked a lot smaller than the pictures online. We ordered Dinner from the hotel and it takes about 45 minutes to be prepared so I’d say order ahead of time or don’t go when you’re starving. Unlike other resorts, this was not all inclusive so expect to pay for everything, even bottle water that doesn’t come in the room. Although it took us an hour to check in around 5PM, the staff were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, which made it pleasant.

The pool was nice.
The night fountain light show was a nice touch. It looks like the property was making improvements.

The shower in the standard room is very small approximately 1meter by 1meter. When you take a shower water flows everywhere outside of the shower. Unfortunately I will not be visiting again.

The staff, if I can highlight certain people were amazing, Dany, at the bar, Millie at the bar, Michael, the general manager, those three names come to mind they were all exceptional and accommodated. All of my requests, the front desk staff is amazing for the most part, and the food was great, a great day, and would love to go back

Spacious rooms, felt safe, good pool

The location is far away from everything. The closest restaurant is McDonald’s. Which is still a couple miles away. The confident store is also at least 1.5 miles. Not an area I would want to walk alone. The taxi is at least $20 to go anywhere. Even two miles down the road. Rent a car!
They do have a shuttle to major places that runs at 9am & 2:30pm. If you take the pm shuttle you will have to get your own ride back to the hotel.
The employees are nice. Ordering food at the restaurant takes at least 30 mins.
If you are from the states, bring an outlet converter.
The rooms are not bad.

Bathroom had mildew( disgusting)
The bed was TERRIBLE!!!
Room phone was stained and wasn’t working properly the entire stay.
The toilet wasn’t flushing properly
The housekeeping maid that came in the morning knocked on the door like it was the end of the world, very unprofessional.
I wake up al confused and disoriented by the way she was knocking. I did not even had the chance to wake up.
The morning restaurant staff seems to be annoyed.
There where a lot of flies at the restaurant
When we asked for any solutions to minimize the flies in order for us to enjoy the lunch, no solution was a offer.

The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable, but there's no entertainment at all. That place could off more than they do.

Truly truly enjoyed our holiday at Acoya.
The best part was the cozy, homely, relaxed vibe of the resort coupled with the beautifully landscaped surroundings.
The staff was well behaved and the food was so delectable and so well presented.
They helped us plan out our Curacao itinerary better and guided us to really amazing spots around the town.
Loved the pro-active energy of the management to set up a little decorative surprise in our room along with romantic music - when they realised that me and my husband had come to celebrate our marriage anniversary.
Really commendable stay.
Definitely look forward to enjoying Acoya again
