Lovely guest house. Charming lounge in the former chapel. Friendly & gracious hosts.

We loved our stay here. The front desk team gave us a warm welcome and a nice big room that was well laid out. Also, beautiful historic property. Breakfast was included and was delicious. I think they had the most fresh fruit selection I had seen thus far and I enjoyed the ‘to order’ component. We stayed 2 nights and highly recommend the spot!

The hotel was very cute however, the location was not what we expected. It was a little too far from Sintra & Cascais for our liking. And there was nothing to walk to in the area. Unfortunately there is a motorcycle speed track close by, which you can heard very clearly when the bikes are racing. Otherwise it’s a really nice and quiet. The breakfast was good but nothing special and if you want some eggs made up (omelettes or the like), that’s an extra cost. We had a problem with getting hot water for washing, not sure if this a problem with a whole hotel but our room it took quite a while to get the lukewarm through the taps. Staff were extremely welcoming and offered suggestions.

Lovely place to stay! If you are visiting Sentra, I recommend you stay downtown Sentra, as driving & parking there is difficult

Paço do Bispo is perfectly situated in the country, quite close to Sintra and Cascáis. It’s a good option for those driving but apparently it’s not hard to get an Uber. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The full breakfast, included in your stay, cannot be beat. The pool looks lovely but we didn’t use it due to inclement weather. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. Nice big TV with lots of channels. Highly recommend this place! We liked it so much we stayed another day.

Lovely, lovely, lovely place! Way beyond our wildest expectations. The setting is idyllic, the property set in a valley surrounded by hills covered by evergreen forests near Sintra and appears to have been part of a village in the past. The lounge was once a Chapel and has been tastefully transformed into a modern lounge with proper mood lighting and music. Restaurants are a short drive away (ask the hotel about O Tavares!) Hotel has complementary breakfast which is actually better than we expected. Beautiful infinity pool, rooms are very elegant indeed and the staff could not have been friendlier. We will be returning to this place for a longer stay, that’s for certain!

The hotel itself was great. However we thought we were going to be in Sintra and we are not so that part was a bit disappointing. That being said the hotel sent us to a local restaurant where we had one of our best meals. And waking up in a quiet area is very nice!

This is going to be a very mixed review. On the upside — the rooms are luxurious, large, clean and comfortable. The pool and pool area are lovely. HOWEVER, this property is strangely located for a premium hotel. It is not central to anything (so best for guests traveling by car) but neither is it a country property. It is located very near a racetrack and we were subject to the whining noise of racing cars almost the entire time. (Although not late into the night.) To top it off, there seems to be a dog kennel immediately next door, Lots of annoying on and off barking. In a failed and ridiculous effort to cover these noises, the hotel plays thumping dance music in the pool area from a boom box, like we were in a disco, not an upscale hotel where the average age of the guests appears to be about 60. As we tried to relax and enjoy the pool, we were assaulted on all sides by noise. The hotel manager was not responsive to our request to turn off the music, in fact was quite nasty about it. Oh, and PS, our rooms were not ready at check in time. We had to go to lunch while they finished getting the rooms ready.

Exquisite boutique hotel. Exceptions I’m all aspects. The breakfast included was great in addition they offered eggs and bacon cooked to order. This was a great find and additionally it was 10 minutes from Sinatra and 10 from Cascais so perfect to experience these two gems. Both office managers were exceptional as well, friendly, helpful and very professional. Could not recommend more. Small boutique hotel.

Arrived and immediately was told no cable or Wi-Fi, if I wanted to cancel I could get a refund. And go where at 3:30, I was in the middle of nowhere. Difficulty with safety deposit box, ended up not using it.

Our suite was stunning. While the outside maintained the original look of the Bishop's residence the rooms inside were totally remodeled and lovely. Our only challenges were the smell of the sewage in the bathroom and the bugs. Had we kept the windows closed and used the air conditioning the bugs wouldn't have been a problem but the cool fresh air outside was too nice to resist.

The property was previously a bishop’s home, with a beautifully repurposed chapel, ample parking and a lovely pool. Great staff.

Lovely place to stay. It was a little disconcerting having a car race track next to the hotel and we could hear the cars for the whole weekend. However, once in our room, we could not hear anything.Very convenient for all tourist attractions and beaches at Cascais are amazing!

Very large room with nice amenities. Excellent free parking facilities. The bed was not the most comfortable and did not have a comforter blanket though. The staff were nice and friendly. I enjoyed my stay at this boutique house.

Paco do Bispo is a lovely old property which has been excellently brought up to date. The rooms are clean and tidy as is all of the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is always fresh and replenished frequently. The lounge is unique, being an old chapel. The highest praise must go to the staff who were great. We had some unfortunate circumstances during our stay, but the staff - and especially Margarida and Carla were absolutely superb with their help and concern. We do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to the highest degree.

As this is s boutique hotel (Bed and Breakfast), it is of course a nice place. We are a family of 4 (with 2 teenage kids) and booked the large suit at the top of the house. Plenty of room for all. Kids reported that the sofa-bed was comfortable.
The breakfast (incl) is very good and staff were very friendly/helpful: we could leave our big suitcases with them after check-out so we could go to the local Pena Palace etc. by car. Staff also speak good English (in case you don’t have a Portuguese wife as I do :-)
However, one small point of criticism: although the single bathroom in the suite looked really nice, it was a case of ‘form over function’: no (shelf) space to put ANY toiletries... Also note that the advertised ‘hot tub’ is a (nice) “bath with jets” and not a stand alone unit or so.

It’s a new place so may need more time to adjust but some of the pillow cases smelled bad (like not dried/washed properly), room & bathroom were freezing when first entered, finally breakfast was just minimal.

Enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very clean and likely recently renovated. Breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate. Staff were friendly. The maid could Janet men more generous with toiletries.
