Stayed one night to visit family was our second visit a fantastic quirky hotel very interesting place to stay .
Had a comedy night on what a bonus curry and comedy only £15.I would thoroughly recommend a very kind and caring work environment for the hardworking staff.
Very nice breakfast.I will be visiting again and hope top tie in with another comedy night.

Love it here, very relaxed but attentive staff. Delicious breakfast (we didn’t try other meals but sounded lovely) and in house bar. Olde worlde charm with Nat King Cole playing over breakfast. Our dog was welcome.
In process of renovating so if you’re not too worried about peeling paintwork and uneven floors you’ll be fine.

The staff were friendly & helpful. The building is old an in need of some decoration. The main part of the hotel smelt of greasy kitchens when I arrived. Ok for one night but I wouldn’t go back.

All the staff were friendly and efficient.
The hotel is full of character and original features, it is close to central Louth and is has an excellent car park.
The room was clean and spacious with excellent ensuite bathroom facilities.
The breakfast was 1st class, well cooked, tasty, plentiful and served expeditiously.
This hotel has lots to like, it has qualty and genuinely friendly staff throughout, it is run in a eco friendly way and it is excellent value for money. Would definately stay here again.

Hygiene issue. Stinks

As others have said, quirky, but the room was basically clean with fresh towels, clean and comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The decor was a little dated but as their brochure says they are under refurbishment in some rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful which always improves a stay away from home and so we would definitely use again.

The Priory is in need of repair. We had room 8 Library. Floor badly slopes. Coffee table with electric kettle is dangerous. Bedding is too small.
Floor feels unstable. The concept of a charity having people with disabilities (learning difficulties) ebs on the sympathy to override what is failing. The breakfast was terrible. People left after waiting so long for delivery of food. Over priced. Ratings of 5 star don't match the reality of this accommodation. Health and safety need to go through.

We had a great stay, all the staff were excellent, Lily at breakfast service and Ben so helpful throughout our stay. Food was amazing, we had the Sunday Taster menu and the Chef was so accommodating of my partner who is vegan. We also had food from the comfort menu which was again very good. Breakfasts which for residents are included in the room rate was lovely.
The place had the feel of going to to stay with friends for the weekend, a credit to all the staff and Paul the Manager.

Great old place, lots of character and lovely staff.

Although the hotel is being sympathetically renovated, it is spotlessly clean. The building is beautiful and there are a lot of original features still in place. The rooms are a good size with very comfortable beds, plenty of storage space and tea making facilities. One the best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are hard working, friendly, funny and helpful. Amazing place, amazing stay, well done everyone!

I have read many reviews about The Priory, both excellent and terrible, and without any doubt, we are in the ‘excellent’ camp. Having said that, if you like corporate hotels, which are often very similar and possibly a bit lacking in atmosphere, then this hotel might well not be for you…
We thought it was wonderful and loved our all too short stay. The food, lovingly prepared by Lowen, was delicious but the very best thing about The Priory are the wonderful staff - they are amazing, and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a brilliant one.
The hotel is in the (very long) process of being renovated, and this is being done sympathetically and totally in keeping with this fabulous building, but there are places where it looks less than perfect, due to this… but this is what adds to the authentic atmosphere.
We loved it, and will certainly book again, and again.
Thank you to everyone at The Priory!

Location is great, link to charity supporting staff with employment difficulties is brilliant. Our only complaint is the poor soundproofing for the bedrooms.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Priory! The staff were so friendly, the food was gorgeous, and the rooms are comfy and warm. When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely be staying again! :)

Great room and prices. The staff were very natural and welcoming. The building is fantastic; historic, old and solid but not at all austere. I imagine a Xmas stay here would be magical.
Nice grounds to get some air, plenty of parking.
I'd certainly stay there again 100% One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Delicious breakfast too

The chef put himself out to make our dinner. The room on suite was in need of an update. The chef at breakfast could do with a bit more practice and had run out of things but the place helps a lot of people in the town and that deserves recognition. Well done

Excellent stay with a massive welcome. Thomas was brilliant from start to finish and with Paul on hand to give everyone a welcome and support those working there this is the place to go and stay. Food was good in the evening and with nearly a double breakfast you were never disappointed on the quality of the food. It was so good to meet Aidan as he starts his great vocation at the Priory. I cannot recommend it high enough for anyone to try this magical hidden gem in Louth

Old fashioned, comfortable building. An establishment with a philosophy of doing the right thing in it's community. It's unique, Go and try it for yourself.

The Priory Hotel was fine overall, clean and lovely staff but they need to update their mattresses, at least in room 9, it was way too soft with no support and we both woke up with a good amount of back pain.

Paul and his team were excellent! From the moment we arrived we were made welcome. One of his team offered to carry our baggage from the car before showing us to our room. After settling into our room we went into the hotel bar where we we met by Lowan, the chef. Like the rest of his colleagues, he made Helen and I feel very much at home, and he went out of his way to ensure that we needed for nothing. The quality of food and locally sourced drinks were exceptional. The atmosphere in the hotel was the most relaxed I have ever experienced. The only downside to our stay was that we had to leave! I would have absolutely no hesitation to recommend the hotel top anyone. Thank you again to Paul, Lowan, Ben, Thomas and Daniel, and of course, any members of staff I didn't get the pleasure of meeting. Hopefully, I will get the opportunity of staying with you all again very soon.
