The propperty needs renovated. For the price I paid, I could have stayed someplace nice. I travel to Southport a lot and thought I would give it a try. It doesn't compare to the other hotels surrounding it. patches on walls, dirty matress covers, dirty lampshades, stains on sheets, just not a good experience. Will never stay there again. Pictures are not accurate, must have been taken 20 years ago.

We stayed 4 days, trying to save money, but will not stay here again. The back door was broken so anyone could have walked in. We had to turn our towels in to get new towels. Put privacy on the door, yet housekeeping still knocked on the door. The breakfast was lacking, watery eggs, cereal or waffles.

The people were difficult to understand and they were not friendly or welcoming.

We stayed thursday to sun morning. All was good until saturday. People were allowing their kids to sceam and run up and down the halls untill 945pm. No one did anything about this.

The facility is older and not well kept. Needs a lot of cleaning and updating. Good location and close to downtown.

There was a sewage smell as you walked in the door. Our room did not have a smell but the floors were dirty and it was stuffy in the room even with the air on. There was also no elevator in the hotel which I found very odd.

Was in town for a concert and just needed a place for one night. This Quality In and Suites was just perfect. Super clean, quick check in, comfortable beds.

There for a concert, hotel shows some wear desoite recent upgrades. Strong smell of cleanser in lobby and common areas can be overpowering. TV was not working and extra security latch on door was broken so security felt a bit lacking. We ended up putting stuff stuff by the door as we got in so late. Staff were kind and friendly.

Our room was absolutely disgusting. Blankets and sheets were stained all over, curtain had a huge burn hole in it, floor was tore up in several spots, toilet was nasty and leaked, the shower was nasty and had a hole in it, and half of the outlets didn’t work.

Needs to offer better breakfest ir none at all. Only had scrambled eggs, waffles, tangerines, muffins, bread, yogert. No meat options

Check in was a smooth process and the front desk staff were friendly. However, it was discovered that the floor in the room was dirty amd wasn't swept very well. There were stains on the ceiling, the floor, and the jetted tub needs a thorough deep clean. We didn't even use it. The pillows were more comfortable than the bed itself. I probably won't go back to this location ever.

My husband and I came into town for a funeral. Quality Inn was in the area and booked through a 2nd party. We got to the hotel room and it was not what we thought it was going to be. Walking into the room it was very dark with no ceiling lights so we turned on the bathroom light to get to our beds. There was a pole light by the chair that was broken and did not have a light bulb in it.. The bedside tables were dirty, and very smeared looking like someone quickly wiped it with a dirty towel. The lamps on the bedside table were the worst. They both had very thick dust on the lampshades and on the iInside of the shades. I could have written my name on the dirty dusty shade.. After a long day my husband took his shoes and socks off and walked to the bathroom when he came back the bottom of his feet were black.
I made him wash them before he went to bed. On the good side the bed was comfortable.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. On the good side the bathroom was clean and had a very old jacuzzi so you had to take a big step to take a shower.
The hotel did offer breakfast. When we got to the lobby there was no food left in any of the trays. It was late and breakfast was almost over. We walked through the parking lot to a Bob Evens Restaurant. As I was very hesitant to have breakfast. Thinking if we were given a room that was filthy, what would the kitchen be like? I have slept in many hotels, motels across Europe, Mexico and the United States and this has

Arrived late, upgraded to a double king. In a good location as it’s just off the interstate and we were passing through.

We stayed at the Quality Inn Southport
in Indiana, and our experience was extremely disappointing. We arrived at 12:30 AM, and although we were given a room, we found that the bathroom light wasn't working, and the carpet was extremely dirty. We reported this to the front desk, and they moved us to another room. However, the new room was also unsatisfactory—the blanket had brown stains, and the bathroom flush was not functioning. We contacted the front desk again, and the staff member informed us that there were no other rooms available, and our only option was to check out and receive a refund. However, it was 12:30 AM, and we had a six-year-old with us, so checking out was not a feasible option. Overall, our experience at this Quality Inn was terrible, and I would rate it 2 stars although the front desk person was extremely polite to us.

It was very peaceful and comfortable, the beds were very nice as well as the pillows

Room beds dirty, main room (Room 108) dirty, bath room dirty and mold, bathroom door could not be opened and I was informed to use the hallway bathroom. Outside hall door was open all night with a rock blocking from closing. No security. I signed in Aug 3 about 6 pm and signed out around 10 when room 108 bathroom door would not open. Sorry place to stay. I want a refund for both nights plus a 100 dollar charge

My stay was for our visit to GenCon 2024 - the room smelled musty, the breakfast was average and one of the beds in our room was very hard. Our room wasnt attended to during our visit (even to have the trash taken out) and we could have used more towels. By contrast, I stayed in a Quality Inn on the drive home that had a good breakfast, did not smell musty despite having carpet instead of Southport's bare floor and the beds were more comfortable. Not a hotel we will choose for our stay at GenCon 2025.

The floor in our room was visably dirty with cunks of dirt on the floor. It had obviously not been swept or mopped in a while. Also the air conditioner kept leaking a large puddle of water on the floor that we had to walk around.

The staff was friendly, but you can tell the owners of the hotel are choosing to not fix things. The carpet was extremely dirty in the hallway on the second floor for three days until they finally got around to vacuuming it. The ice machine was beeping loudly one night. and their solution was to simply unplug it. When I first entered my room, I found that the lamp shade in my room was almost completely destroyed. Why wasn’t it replaced? The towels were small and worn out. When we asked for more towels, we were told to bring our dirty ones down the front desk. Isn’t that their job to go get dirty towels? I put a small bag of trash outside my door, expecting that the cleaning people would pick it up. Instead, it sat outside my door for several days until I picked it up myself. Guests are supposed to be able to enter by the side door with their badge, but the badge reader does not work so you have to walk all the way around the front every time you come in and out.

Everything about this hotel was terrible except the location. If i could give it zero stars i would. There was bugs and hair on the ground. The ceiling kept dripping water. The tv glitched the whole stay. The locks on the door was broken. And we were never offered a new room even after we told the attendants.

The check in was fine.
both the tub and sink drain were plugged up. It took a long time in order for it to drain completely.
One of the beds squeaked every time someone sits on it or turn over while sleeping.
We were woken up around 1:30-2:00 a.m. with guests were talking and laughing very loudly.
We were also woken up 6:00 in the morning with metal banging next door.
Needless to say, we did not get a restful sleep.

My fire detector did not work, Nor carbon monoxide. I only worried about those two things because I want to use the hairdryer and it almost set the place on fire. After I alerted the front desk and told them it should be removed so that my children don’t try and use it or if somebody else. There was gum on the floors and spots where you would step and it would be sticky

I was charged a $100 deposit, on a room I had already paid for in full. Breakfast was a joke. There is no full breakfast. You get waffles, yogurt, toast and cereal. The eggs were gone, and no more to be made. No other proteins. My shower head looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in decades, and there was a hole in the tile by the faucet. I had a connecting door, and neighbors, so I couldn’t even check to see if it locked, without taking a chance of peeping on them. The pool was so hot, the pool area was like a sauna. I understand heated pool, but it was too hot. There is no hot tub as advertised. The clerks were nice, and when I asked for a first floor room, due to my disability, he did give me that. But there should have been a notice that a deposit would be needed, I would not have chosen this hotel. And I’m not sure if it was the flooring or if the floors hadn’t been properly mopped, but as I walked, the floors squeaked like they were sticky. Very disappointed.
