Our stay here was wonderful. The room was spotless and the staff were incredibly kind. The onsen is small (max 6 ppl) but that was never an issue. The included breakfast was a smallish buffet style of mostly western type foods, salads, scrambled eggs, yogurt, breads. The convenience of the location, minutes away from Gora station, made arriving and doing the Hakone loop so easy! Lovely spot overall.

Great location, very attentive front desk.

A great, affordable hotel right by Gora station - perfect location for exploring Hakone. We opted for a private room which was lovely and comfortable. The onsen facilities are only open to guests and while small are very pleasant, and the number of people is limited at any one time. Even the snacks and drinks in the minibar were very reasonably priced and locally sourced. Thoroughly recommended!

Wonderful hotel with onsen in Gora. Most of the Staff were so nice and kind. Location is just a few steps from Gora station and is kid friendly. Beautiful room views and excellent room size (private) Liked that there was a little kitchen and laundry room too.

This is a great central spot in Gora. The only complaint we had as a group was the lack of walkable restaurants that were open on any given day (not the hotels fault). Breakfast was really good, staff is friendly, the onsen is nice and intimate. Overall nice home base for exploring hakone... Definitely worth buying the hakone transit multi day pass.. Ooo and the open air museum was fantastic!!

Highly recommend this great hotel in Hakone. Its minutes walk from the station & bus stop, providing amazing access to the Hakone sights. Room was huge, clean & the staff were incredibly welcoming.

Lovely hotel up in Gora. Stayed for two nights as a relaxed stop between Tokyo and Kyoto which it was perfect for. Two nights is enough to see the major sights around Gora such as the Open Air Museum, the sulfuric volcano vents and Fuji. The room was traditional and neatly kept. Breakfast was good albeit a bit for or western tastebuds. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant so can't say how it was. Very convenient that the hotel is next to the train and cablecar station.

Property was in great location next to stations. Very quiet area at night. Room itself was a little on the dirty side (visible cobwebs in the bathroom and stained floors). Was a bit noisily to the outside. Staff was fantastic and breakfast was top notch.

My family and I stayed here for one night and had a wonderful stay. There were some issues with the bathtub in our room and the hotel staff went above and beyond to fix the issue for us. All the staff were friendly, breakfast was tasty, beds were comfy and the hotel was clean and accomodating for our family. Best part was Gora station was directly across the road for easy transport to do the Hakone scenic loop. Would recommend this hotel to any traveller.

The hotel is fantastic. The facilities are new. The location is just next to Gora station.
6.0
great location, pleasant staff, but whoever planned this hostel put in way too few toilets per bed (two small stalls at each floor - 1 star less) and no showers or washrooms at all except for some in the onsen at the first floor (1 star less) making staying a bit uncomfortable and crowded in this regard.

Great location right next to train station. Beautiful clean and spacious rooms.

Clean place, great breakfast and very helpful staff.

Fantastic hostel. We were a family of 4 (all adults) in one room. Bunks were great, spacious floor space, Onsen was nice bonus. Fantastic staff. Breakfast recommended. Can’t beat this location. Great point to stay at to experience that Hakone area on the free pass. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Friendly english speaking staff.
Clean industrial modern vibe. You can hear the cable car announcements loudly, but it stops at 5pm.

A lovely relaxing place to stay. The staff were lovely, helpful and prepared to explain about the onsen which was a very pleasant experience. Both our evening meal (vegan curry and beef with rice dish) and the breakfast were delicious. We felt our stay was very good value. The twin room was huge. The area of Gora was again relaxing with both Gora park and the Open air museum within walking distance.

Had an amazing stay! Staff are awesome. Fabulous dinner and breakfast - Japanese/Western fusion. Creative, attractive and delicious. Location can’t be beat. Right next to the Gora station.

Fantastic location near train station. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. Staff super friendly!

Right next to Gora station. We had a private room with two twin beds. Very comfortable and spacious room. Good breakfast available and able to store our luggage.

A clean and comfortable place to stay, right by the station. I stayed in an 8 bed dorm and the room itself was spacious, as well as the bed cubbies. Had dinner and breakfast on site and both were good, with vegan options for dinner. They also made me a vegetarian breakfast.
The facilities were clean and spacious and the quiet hours (from 9pm-7am) were observed by other guests. The onsen was also very nice.
The only things that could be an issue were the under pass from the station to the hostel which had stairs on either side and could be a struggle for those with mobility supports as there didn't seem to be a lift. There also only seemed to be one shower (per gendered rest room) on our floor and only two toilets. This wasn't an issue when I was there, but I imagine it may get busy during peak times.

The breakfast is the best I have even had in this 4 weeks trip in Japan. The hot spring is perfect and every staff are friendly and polite. Everything is top-notch and you can feel staff are working hard to serve the best things to guests. I am not the kind of people who give 10/10. I will definitely come again(Don't raise the price)

If you are looking for a spacious room with various cultures shared together, this hotel will be the one you must take a look at. The staff is fluent in English, and they have everything you need when you travel in Japan such as onsen, drinking water and microwave. Only 1 minute walking distance from Gora Station is another advantage of this hotel. Strongly recommended!!!

Our stay at Emblem Flow was very comfortable, clean and enjoyable. The proximity to bus stops and the train station made it very convenient for getting to and from the hotel and also for going out for the day. The onsen was very relaxing, the meals were of a very high standard- delicious!-and all the staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We would highly recommend this as a really comfortable place to stay while in Gora.

We booked just one night but we should have stayed longer. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They made us feel so welcome.
Our room was well appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
The evening meal was delicious and beautifully presented. Likewise, breakfast was completed with a delightful local dish which was very tasty.
There is a hot spring spa which we found was ideal after a day with a very early start and local sightseeing.
The location was ideal being near but not too close to the railway and cable car stations, Overall an excellent experience. Well done Emblem Flow Hakone.

Such a lovely place with great design, friendly staff and convenient location. Literally next to train station and cable car to go up mountain. If having large luggage, please note you need to walk down and up a few stairs to get to hostel via a small tunnel next to Gora station. I enjoyed my stay totally, only wish to stay longer to explore the Gora town more. Staff all speak English and super friendly, always happy to offer help.

The train station is right infront of the hostel, it is very convenient if you need a cable car or train ride.
The staffs are helpful and nice. Hostel are very clean and quiet too.

Amazing hotel, love the location and onsen. Room was large and clean. Although we only stayed a night, it was the best stay in our trip to Japan.

Very beautiful hostel for family of 4. Perfect location to do the Hakone loop early in the morning. The breakfast was very good, and not too asian for western travelers. Honestly, the best breakfast so far. We also decided to have dinner there as there is n’y many options around. The price was reasonable for the location and we loved the food.

Everything was amazing. Gora station is just beside the hostel, surrounded by restaurants and small businesses and not to forget to mention it’s very own built in onsen! The restaurant/bar that they have has a great ambience. Staff can speak English and they are very helpful! 6/5 stars for me.

Modern hotel with a minimalist industrial vibe. Nice rooms all well equipped. Private onsen is a great addition. Location right by the station. Best feature is the staff who are super friendly and very helpful. And the food is excellent. Would really recommend.

The staff were very helpful, the room was very pleasant and larger than expected. The position was great - close to the train and cable car and easy to walk to many of the sights. We had booked for breakfast, which was a little odd for Westerners but OK. Dinner was good, particularly the a la carte menu.

We had a great one-night stay at Emblem Flow. The hotel was clean and comfortable, actually much more comfortable than we expected. The room was simple, yet cozy. We were able to spend the evening with the window open onto the balcony, so peaceful. The staff was kind. The onsen was really nice as well. And the property was ideally situated next to the Gora station, which you could access in under 1 minute using an under passage, though we couldn't hear the trains or cable cars from the room.
10.0
Pros: Extremely close to Gora station. Exit the station and take the short underpass. Our stay booked through Expedia included breakfast which was pretty good. The egg cup dish was kind of weird. It tasted like leftover Costco lasagna slurry. Staff all spoke very good English and very helpful with bus directions. In room snacks and minibar has very good variety and well priced.
Cons: The carpet in the guest room was very old and stained, and smelled a bit. Could really be replaced, ideally by hardwood floors.

Great spacious rooms. Excellent location. Would definitely stay again.
