Ithe cottage was lovely, however it could be advertised a bit better. That they dont have any cooking facilities.

Its a beautiful room the only criticism is no tea or coffee that would make it perfect. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is amazing. Check in is super easy so you can arrive when you want.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at these cottages. We had 2 cottages next to each other as we needed something suitable for our elderly parents with mobility issues for a family wedding, these were perfect. The front door opens onto the bedroom which is spacious, comfortable king size bed, small fridge, iron, black out roller blind, nicely decorated. Then we had a large walk-in shower which was great. Outside is a lovely individual patio area which is quite private for each cottage. We couldn’t fault anything at all. We didn’t hear any road noise that we had read about in other reviews. The Carlton Towers tea rooms are great for a breakfast bap or afternoon tea too in a beautiful setting, well worth a visit and you can even get a take-away breakfast bap to have in your cottage. Co-op is next door for any snacks. Would definitely recommend these little gems they have so much more to offer than your usual hotel room and a great price too.

We enjoyed our night but it was a warm day so some pedestal fans would have helped sleep. Very close to road so some noise issues. Beautiful decor. Visited tearooms for lovely breakfast

The cottages are really lovely with big rooms and having an outside terrace is a real bonus. They are in a lovely spot with tap room and coop next door. I do think the images and description as 'cottage' is slightly misleading as only one of them is a house with kitchen facilities. The others are bedrooms with a fridge and kettle.

We had to ask staff at Carlton Towers tearooms for help with regard to checking in as we had not been sent any details prior to 3pm despite being told we would receive them after 11am. Staff in the tearooms were very helpful & sought out the manager for us. We eventually received the email after 7pm. Despite this hiccup, the cottage was lovely. The shower was particularly good and the seating area outside was lovely.

Always stay here, it’s a great cottage and ideal for when away on business, only negative is the blinds don’t stop the light in the mornings, suggest an eye mask!
4.7
Stayed in 2 bedroom, really cosy and quiet at back of entrance. Just missed that there was no kitchen but we had a kettle and cups. Nice take away in village and in next village over. Very enjoyable

Fabulous little cottage. Well decorated and clean. Had a change of accommodation made by the owners to the cottage we booked , but still lovely.
The only downside was that the sleeping accommodation faced onto the busy highstreet and was noisy all through the night.(no double glazing as its an old building.)So we were all tired the next day.

The property was very clean and well maintained.
Very close to Restaurants and even a micro brewery.
A short drive to Carlton Hall stately home where there is a lovely cafe (very reasonably priced)
4.7
Great little cottage style room with outside space. Good location. Will be revisiting in the future.

Nice atmosphere (tranquility), next to co-op and friendly people. It’s easy commute to Doncaster town/Askern which took about 22mins
Staff very helpful, we are looking forward to staying there again soon

I stay here on a weekly basis due to work. The service is always exceptional. The cottage is perfect.

Excellent stay but to get me back again the bed would have to be a little softer.

This was a good stay. The instructions of how to find the place were okay but could have been laid out a bit better by Hotels.com. (Come on guys, please give formatting a bit of consideration). That said, it wasn't a difficult place to find. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the accommodation. The room was clean and tidy and furnished to a good standard. The TV worked and the walk in shower was lovely. Appreciated the bottle of water left too. So all in all a very nice experience. Many thanks Tim

Gorgeous cottage, lovely interior very comfortable, in a quiet rural location - excellent for unplugging.

Very clean and modern, comfortable bed and very quiet.

Unfortunately there was a lack of toiletries supplied. There was shampoo and body moisturiser, the soap provided in the shower was empty.
The main bedroom is also super bright in the very early morning as there are no blinds in the window in the hallway and the room is too hot to close the door to block it out.

The property was quaint and pretty and 30 mins xrive from York and Leedxs

Extremely disappointed with the accommodation. The pictures and description did not match the reality. It was very old and grubby, paint peeling off the walls, cobwebs, dirty tissues in drawers. No recycling. Road noise was a total nightmare as the property is right in the main road through the village. Not good value for money, overall not recommend!

Lovely cottage. Perfect for us. Comfy beds was great

Magnificent location, excellent venue and delicious food.

Property was clean. Bed large and comfortable. Would have liked a bath rather than just a shower. My wife has a rheumatic knee so found the long walk to the main hall a little too far. Breakfast not cheap at £15 per head extra. Overall experience was good

Lovely little cottage , but freezing inside heating was on but didn’t work

Really clean, lovely rooms and peaceful setting

Comfortable, well furnished accommodation. Clean and felt COVID safe. Good contact from owners. Only thing I would recommend is some patio furniture so that we could have enjoyed sitting outdoors.

Lovely large clean room with walk in showers and underfloor heating in the one bead house.
A fair distance from the main house/event location.. oddfellowes brasserie just over the road with en-suite rooms would of been a better option

Absolutely lovely property. Just think the instructions for how to check in should be made clear.

We were only booked in for one night while visiting family and attending a show in the area but... WOW! The accommodation is very well appointed, everything is exceptional quality and the whole experience very relaxing.
Toiletries, towels etc. were all supplied so we didn't need to worry about bringing those. The shower was very luxurious!
Teas, coffee and bottled water were all provided and it was handy having a fridge in the room (under the desk in case you miss it!) as we could keep proper milk rather than using the long life sachets provided.
We were due to arrive after the 3-5pm check in time so I called in advance the day before and was advised to call on the day to get the key safe code which was simple enough.

Brand new conversion, cottages are very nicely done to a high standard with a fantastic wet room shower, a high-spec TV and a really comfortable bed. There was also a welcome jar of jelly beans which was a great touch. The mini-fridge was useful as they do not provide breakfast, so we went to the shops and bought milk, yoghurt etc and made our own. There is no air conditioning and the room got quite warm at times, but there is a heating control. There is also no kitchen area, which is a shame otherwise it would have been a lovely self-catering option.
One other thing to note, is that you have to go to Carlton Towers (the huge manor house) to find the office and get the code for the keysafe - it's a huge imposing building, but if you park up and phone the office (before 8pm) then they'll sort you out. If you're checking in after 8pm apparently you can phone them before 8pm to get the code.
