Maikhao hotel was in a convenient location…less than a mile from Maikhao beach and with plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The property was clean, but older and they were low staff - no bell man. Nonetheless, it is safe and clean enough for families.

I really enjoyed the outdoor patio and the adjoining pool. Very clean. The breakfast was good but would have like scrambled eggs not hard boiled eggs. The staff was very professional and courteous. Price was excellent. The taxis at the airport charge a bit much for the distance, compared to Bankok prices. The hotel will call a taxi for you and will keep your luggage even after you check out behind the desk. I trust them completely.

There should be gates/doors which require the hotel key card to open. Breakfast options are pretty limited. This is the first time I've brought my own ham to a breakfast so that I could have something other than plain toast!

there was a dirty cup and plate outside our bedroom from the time we checked in until the time we left. the bedroom is very spacious but why leave a kettle without cups or utensils. no soap left in bathroom.
