Simply amazing in all aspect
1.5 / 5.0
The bottomline is that it was a very nice stay at the Okura Tokyo, but not worth its price tag of close to US$800 a night. For half of its price, there are many great hotels available in the nearby and surrounding areas in Tokyo.

EXCELLENT !!

The Okura was a 10/10 stay for my family and I. The hotel oozes luxury and elegance in every way. There was truly a sense of peace and calm as soon as you entered the lobby. However, the most appealing feature are the staff there. There is a helping hand, warm welcome or friendly smile in every interaction. It really lives up to traditional Japanese courtesy, which accompanies its spacious and luxurious rooms. Ours had amazing views of Tokyo, the Tokyo Tower and partial views of Tokyo Skytree. Location was walking distance to several Metro stations, e.g. Ginza line, Hibiya line. If you don’t mind walking then the Imperial PaIace and Gardens are not too far. I feel like I have really found our go-to sanctuary in busy Tokyo.

Service is very good. The hotel is very clean.Staff are very friendly.

One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Large and quiet rooms with attentive staff. Most sights and restaurants require short cab rides, but some are within walking distance. Hotel is across the street from US Embassy.

The best of best!! Excellent service.

Brilliant hotel. What you sacrifice in terms of a quiet location are well presented comfortable rooms with excellent amenities and space. There are a variety of metro stations within a 800m walk and whilst there’s a little gradient it didn’t put us off. Would stay again

Staff was incompetent and rude. One of the worst check ins I have ever experienced. 5 star building. One star staff.

We have lived in Japan four times for a total of about 18 years. The Hotel Okura is our favorite hotel. Well located, it is a short taxi or Uber or subway to Ginza, Shibuya, Omote Sando, Palace. The rooms are world class with high ceilings and panoramic views. They are large with all possible amenities. The gym, sauna, steam, spa pools and workout pool are complementary and are the best I have been to in Asia. The restaurants are among the best in Tokyo from casual, to French to Chinese and of course Japanese (2). But the most impressive is )the staff. No request is too small, all are executed with grace and friendliness. From the doormen and women to the maids, to those at the gym, the concierge, and the restaurants the personal service is exquisite. Over my 35 years staying at hotel I have seen many wirld leaders there from US presidnts to royalty to pop stars. The OKURA can manage anything with discretion and grace.

Truly exceptional property, staff and stay. The hotel is modern and beautifully designed. For first time Tokyo visitors, our stay exceeded our expectations in every level and we look forward to returning. Big thank you to Yoshimi and the rest of the Okura team (both Heritage and Prestige) for an unforgettable visit. Thank you for the care and hospitality!

The Okura is wonderful. The staff are very responsive. The facilities, especially the spa and pool area, are second to none, the food is really high quality with lots of variety and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It's a favorite hotel for my husband and I. Our second time staying (with 8 days total at the Okura) and we will be back.

Friendly staff, the hotel is very clean and quiet. Close to the US embassy, it's also very safe. The fitness center and pool are great, I would recommend to stay with this hotel if you visit Tokyo.

It was very clean and easy to get to metro station. It was little hard to find the entrance at first specially walking from metro station

The Okura was first rate. Super polite and accomodating staff. The property itself is immaculate and spotless. Their breakfast buffet was delicious, whether you choose the traditional Japanese breakfast or western breakfast. We were able to walk to Tokyo Tower and Team Labs Borderless. The hotel is very close to all the subway lines so easy to get to anywhere. The gym and pool were beautiful and we used them everyday.

We weren’t in business suits because we were on vacation and it’s as if we were invisible to the staff. We asked where the business center was located and two separate employees said they did not have a business center (they do, it’s on the sixth floor). The hospitality was average at best. The best part about the stay was the breakfast that was free, and the food in the club lounge, which was also free as part of the room we stayed in. We were in the Heritage side, and maybe that’s considered the “lower class” side for them, not sure, but they definitely didn’t provide 5 star service to us. As a side note, we had just left a 5 star hotel in Kyoto (Hotel MITSUI) and before that, another 5 start hotel in Tokyo (Park Hyatt Tokyo), so we understand what 5 star service looks like in Japan, and this certainly was not it.

I have high standards for hotels and The Okura has definitely owned up to its 5-star rating.
The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The hotel lobby is beautiful! Very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. I booked a city-view with two twin beds and the room was huge considering the average size of hotel rooms in Japan. My favorite part of the room was the view of the Tokyo Tower and the massive walk-in shower.
The rooms were cleaned super well and were turned down several times a day. The hotel had the most amazing pajamas that were left on the bed every evening.
I did not eat at the restaurant, but I did enjoy room service several times during my stay -the service/food was great.
My mom used the pool/spa amenities and raved about them.
The location of the hotel was very safe and quiet. While you are still close to the hustle and bustle of the city, the location was quite peaceful. Many restaurants and convenient stores were close by. I used uber most of the time to get around and a car/taxi was always near.
Will definitely be staying at The Okura every time I come to Japan!

THe Okura is exquisite, a real 5 star experience. EVERYTHING is top notch! The only negative is that the restaurants are pricey - but you definiteiy get what you pay for. Sushi and other fish are the freshest & best cuts I've ever had. The Wagyu beef is second to none.
if you want to treat yourself & dont care about price stay at the Okura!

Luxury hotel in the middle of the action. Yet…. Very quiet and zen

PERFECT but i couldnt sleep in the corner bedrooms because the windows would make a weird popping sound. So i recommend staying in the regular rooms at prestige or suites at the heritage. Just avoid the corner rooms
