Beautiful views!!! Has a pool! Easy to walk down but unless you are up for some good exercise than it isn’t an easy walk up back to. Loved watching the weather from our front space. Great staff. Sweet animals on property!

Beautiful property. Up a hill so you’re out of hustle and bustle of town but close enough to enjoy it all and the beaches. Must have car to get up hill to property. Would stay again!

The view from the room was absolutely stunning. Perfect view of the sunset. The room was large and clean, with our own kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are a bit older but exactly what you need. We also had a large private balcony. The drive up the hill is steep but not nearly the worst drive we had on our trip, the road is paved. Just make sure you read the email they send you prior to arrival or you may get lost. Marco was great, helpful and friendly. Overall it was a great stay!

I brought my family up to Santa Teresa Surf Vista Villas and had a lovely time. Amazing view. It makes you feel removed from the bustle of Santa Teresa’s main road.
Advice to potential future guests:
1. Do NOT follow google maps, it will tell you to take the wrong road and you will get lost. Look for the small sign just south of Nami restaurant.
2. Not the greatest place for small kids as there is a significant drop off the deck and porches and little for railing. The hotel is built on a steep hill so the views are spectacular, the kid friendly part not so much.
3. You may want to rethink booking here if you don’t have a car/motorbike/ATV. The hill up there is steep and long, not one I’d want to have to hike up and down to get stuff. There is nothing but rooms and a pool once you get to the hotel so if you need any food or whatnot, you need to go down the hill to the main road.
4. Talk with Marco- he knows the area and gives good recommendations and he’s a great host. He’s got done good spider and critter stories too.
5. While it’s tempting to make your way to the beach for each sunset, save one for viewing at the pool deck, it’s gorgeous.
Overall we really enjoyed the place. It was a nice break from the busyness of the Main Street, the room was BIG and nice, and the pool deck was incredible with an immaculate view.

We are a family of 4, kids 10 and 15. The best thing about this property is the view and quiet location. The on site manager Mora was fantastic with recommendations and with easy communication via WhatsApp. It could be better equipped with a better shower head and necessities to be able to cook on site in the outdoor kitchen . We cooked 2 evenings and it was great to cook and eat outside. They rent surfboards at the villa which was very convenient. The drive up to the site is paved but steep. The effort is worth the quiet and the view. Me and my daughter even got a private yoga session next door from one of Mora’s recs. The on site pool is perfect to finish the day watching the sunset and soaking the efforts of the day away. You can hear howler monkeys and we saw a capuchin right by the villa and tons of birds and hummingbirds.
All in a great and relaxing end to our 2 week vacation in Santa Teresa. Parting warning : do not take one of the the google suggested Ruta nacional 163 from Jicaral to get to Cobano/ Santa Theresa, during rainy season. We had a scary experience and we’re glad to make it out without breaking down in our 4x4. Or ask ahead on the state of the road at a soda before attempting.

Stunning views from thr villas. No noise from the city, just thr sound of waves and wildlife. Mora was fantastic, always there to help via whattsapp or a passing "hello, how is everything?" We did not have a rental car and commented on the hill to get to the villas. Mora had taxi and 4 wherler options with pricing for us. Thank you Mora for our stay excellent!

Our family do six had a wonderful experience at Surf Vista Villas! We enjoyed watching the sun set every evening as we listened to the sounds of nature.
The manager told us about some awesome tidal pools that were perfect for the kids to explore during low tide.
We did not have 4x4 and we’re able to access the place, but it was difficult. Thankfully, it did not rain or else we probably would not have been able to climb the hill. We definitely recommend 4x4.

This is the most stunning location if you want to see a fantastic sunset. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Don’t expect plush rooms they are very relaxed. Def do not book this place unless you plan to have a 4x4 - we drove up with a regular car and it was pretty hairy. You def need some form of transport because it is far up a hill and quite a distance from the beach and most restaurants. An ATV is a great way to get around Santa Teresa.

Overall, very pleasing. A few down sides to improve:
- the queen bed next to the bathroom had missing slats support so the mattress bent and our backs were painful in the morning.
- the sofa and love chairs were rather tossed.
- the housekeeping was every day but we did not need it, even if we had compost in the compost bin and toilet paper in the garbage. We are used to been eco-friendly and would have not minded having those left as is for the few days of our stay.
- the view was incredible!
- the walk to the beach was not long: 13 min to the beach and 30min back from the beach. The key is the villas are high up on the hill, hence the great vistas! But a work out to walk back from the beach to the villas.
- the location: read the host's directions and follow those. Don't follow Google's directions (completely wrong).
- Andy is the host and really nice
- there were some surf boards and we used one, and had a lot of fun!!!
- beach is super fun with decent waves for body boarding and surfing (beginners like us or pros, lots of pro surfers in the water). Also flat white sand without rocks for babies/toddlers to play on and waddle in the low tide.
- decent restaurants in the city too, but busy (busy tight streets and busy restos)
