Room was excellent, lovely opening windows with a nice view. Everything we needed and more. Breakfast was really good, plenty of options hot and cold. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend and stay again!

The only real letdown was that id booked the family room for me and a friend to stay in, however on arrival was told that the family room hasnt existed for a while. No other twim rooms were available so we had to share a double bed as 2 x 40 year old men. Whilst it was ok, it wasnt ideal and having paid over £100 for the night id have expected to get what id paid for.

Wonderful place to spend several days. Staff is fantastic, public areas are very comfortable, rooms are basic but comfortable, meals are awesome.
The place is a work in progress that I highly recommend.

We arrived considerably before arrival time. It took a couple of minutes to find someone, but when we did they had no problem with us parking in their lot and going for a walk before the appointed time. The room was nice, the staff very helpful and breakfast the next day was good.
We did have a bit of a challenge though finding the hotel as the part that faces the front street is a restaurant and we didn't notice a clear sign pointing us to the back.

The Cornishman Inn is located in a picturesque location. From when I arrived, right until I left, the service was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble. The room was cosy, clean and quiet and the food there was great. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone and will definitely be back myself!

Loved the location, just a short walk from the castle. Free parking as well.

Room was basic, but totally fine. Clean bathroom. Staff were enthusiastic and very helpful. The night we were there, they seemed to be short staffed, so service was a little slow. A fan in the room (given the unseasonally hot weather) was much appreciated. Breakfast was quite good.

Very close to the coastal way, good breakfast, nice staff but bed in need of a serious update .it was a metal frame and either the mattress or the frame was very creaky. Everytime you turned it made creaky spring noise.Otherwise a very good choice

Really old pub, nicely decorated with Union Jacks for the Jubilee. Big free parking lot at the rear for customers and nice outdoor seating area. On request we were told we could leave our car there while we went to the castle after we had checked out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is in a great location near to the top of the walkway to go down to Tintagel Castle. We ate dinner in the restaurant after we arrived. Portions were huge and the food was very good. Great cider too. Breakfast was a buffet for dried fruits, juices and cereals. You could then also order off a very varied menu for a cooked breakfast too. Our room was clean and comfortable with good water pressure in the shower. Good selection of teas and coffees with a kettle in our room also. We would stay here again.

Turned up and we were not on the list however staff very friendly and sorted it. In the evening there was live music on and things started getting busy and we popped into the bar for a drink. It soon became obvious that one of the staff was telling her friends to go to the side bar to skip the queue. The worst of all was the walls between the rooms are very thin and the floorboards need screwing down as the ones in the next door room squeaked like mad. Hardly slept all night due to noise from the rooms either side.

We received a wam welcome and the family room was spacious, neat and clean. The heater in the room was welcome. A nice dinner and breakfast. Open fire in the bar. We misplaced our car key once we had checked out and the owner and staff could not have been more kind in helping us in our hour of need.

Just returned from a 4 night stay, 2 adults & 1 child.
We wanted a clean & comfortable base to explore Cornwall & were not disappointed.
We had a family room which was quite large & plenty of storage. Bedroom, linen, bathroom & towels all spotless. Hospitality tray well stocked.
The double bed was comfortable, just a little on the soft side for us. Our daughter had a day bed which she loved.
Housekeeping don’t clean the rooms at the moment with COVID but they leave a basket of goodies outside your room everyday, clean towels, tea coffee, additional shampoos etc & always happy to help if things get a bit sandy from a beach day.
Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice even for fussy kids.
Dinner was also good, fresh pub grub, nice & varied.
Parts of the building are very old & characterful so it is creaky, didn’t impact our stay one bit but we did hear a couple complaining. It’s an old Inn, we thought it was quite charming.
The staff were lovely, Colin the owner was entertaining & his team all very helpful considering parts of Cornwall are chaotic at the moment.
A holiday is what you make it & we loved ours.

Great location close to Main Street castle and beach.
Their car park was large enough never to worry about spaces.
We stayed in room 5 overlooking Main Street. Plenty of space. Didn’t find it noisy at all. We stayed in heatwave and the room was not too hot probably because room was long and the window was end away from beds. The host also provided a small fan
