Em Royalle Hotel has friendly staff and clean facilities. We just don't like the breakfast, It's pricy and didn't taste that good. But overall, everything was perfect.

We recently stayed at the Em Royalle, and I must say I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The hotel's attention to detail was shockingly poor, making my stay quite unpleasant.
Firstly, upon check-in, I noticed that the bed set was lacking a top sheet. Upon request, the staff insisted that that's how they make the bed. It was clear that the staff had not paid attention to detail.
Secondly, we were lacking basic toiletries such as towels, hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and toothbrushes. We asked for housekeeping services but they replaced the bath rug with a worn out rug, very poor.
Furthermore, the service was lackluster. The front desk staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional, failing to address my concerns promptly. Our room key kept on resetting at 12 noon and we have to request access from thr front desk. It was evident that there was a lack of proper training and supervision.
I was extremely satisfied with the kitchen services and the food was great. Location is pristine since the hotel is by the beach.
Overall, my experience at Em Royalle Hotel 2/5.

Front beach property, just seps away from the beach. My only comment and concern was that at 3:00 in the morning someone opened my niece’s room and someone entered in their room. I’m not sure if that’s a mistake at the front where they issued a key to a room which was already occupied. This is a safety and needs to address because you don’t know if that person who entered my neice’s room has a bad intention. Otherwise the property is good, it won’t have been nice if they offer free breakfast.

The hotel and room is clean and well maintained . We had a comfortable stay. It's rate is budget friendly. It's right in front of the beach which is the killer. At the same time they have a pool that you can use when the waves are crazy. The area is less crowded and peaceful. The San Juan gimmick area is just a 10min drive.
At first I was kind of turned off when the guy on the check in counter had to narrate the possible penalties and additional fees that you may encounter, like extra fee for this extra this and that. But I would still recommend this and would love to come back, because they charge lower and you'll get value for money

Front desk personnels should atleast treat all guests fair and same. Be nice to every guest. Guest without using branded stuffs should also be treated the same way with guests using branded stuffs. Housekeeping staffs are friendly and accomodating.

“Good view with easy access to beach but slightly far from restaurants”
Hotel is easily seen and accessible from the main road. Its just that if you don’t have car, you have to ride tricycle going to Urbiztondo beach where commercial stores (restaurants, bar, etc.) are located and also the surfing point. It is 10-15 mins away from the hotel. Preferably book this online than on-site because it is way cheaper. Hotel is okay, a little old & typical look but good enough for couples or families who wants to have a quiet place rather than the busy area of San Juan. It also has a pool with easy access to beach area. It is not crowded. Staffs are accommodating when we checked in and also when we extended our stay. Down side we found are shower water pressure is low, the 2nd room where we were transferred (due to extended stay) – aircon is not working enough to cool the whole room, no nearby restaurants or convenience store. Good side of this hotel is it has a great view in the morning and afternoon if you chose beach side rooms and at upper floors.

Great place to stay and to unwind. We are in 3rd flr beach front and it was amazing. Internet is good with 15 to 20mbps. Good for staycation and wfh.
Room description is misleading, room with free breakfast when you book but No free breakfast when you arrived.

No outside food allowed inside the hotel but their restaurant closes at 7pm, you gonna starve yourself the whole night. If you bring food inside, they will charge your food P300/kg, its ridiculous! I’ve been to many places, here and abroad, this is the craziest hotel rules I’ve ever encounter. One more thing, i booked 2 rooms with 2 queen bed size, but I only get 1 room with 2 queens, the other one is 2 full beds. The place is nice but if you don’t want to ruin your day, better to go somewhere else. I don’t recommend this place.

First during checking in process, a guy staff claims that my reserved room which is a King Size bed with an Oceanfront view was unavailable, so they are giving me 2 twin bed with a Mountain View. it's surprises me when there was only 3 cars at the parking. I told him that, that's it not right and i refused to be downgraded with the same price. But it comes out that it 's a lie as the house cleaning ladies say there are few empty room with oceanfront view. Second the light is so insufficient, the whole room has 3 lights, one in the bathroom, one in foyer and in the main room by the first bed at night the room is dark. Then the bed is hard and does not have bed sheet, a skinny piece of bed cover serves as bed sheet as instead. Lastly, the road from the main highway to the hotel is not cemented , it's so rough your car suspension will suffer. It's so cheap for 3.5 star hotel. I'm not recommending this hotel

Would NOT recommend this hotel.
1. Matresses are hard as a rock. After consulting the manager(who assured me something would be done to soften up the bed) nothing was done as promised, until i complained to the evening desk clerk. We were given a matress to use that was 12 inches narrower than the previous one. Finally had to go buy my own 4" foam matress topper at the shopping mall to keep my back from hurting for the balance of our 12 day stay. The manager never followed up with me... No attempts at 'customer service recovery'.
2. Shower water is luke warm at best and water pressure dismal.
3. House staff is nice.
4. Pool is dirty.
5. Menu selection is so so...
6. Toliet backed up twice and overflowed once.
7. Hallways are noisey.... Dogs parking inside the hotel at 2 AM.
8. At 4am on the first night, a drunk person tried to break down a room door down the hall from us. Police were called.
Save your money. Stay ANYWHERE else.

I liked the beach, it’s clean and shallow not that deep so it is safe.
What i didn’t like is the service, actually they are not customer oriented… the receptionists were not that attentive in receiving and talking to customers, no warm welcome, we’ve to asked for assistance upin checked in… every time we sat at their outdoor resto, nobody came to us so we have to sought for service personnel after 20-30mins waiting. Orders that were not available was mentioned after 30 mins, jam and butter that were included in the continental breakfast were serve after 30 mins were breakfast was already eaten…
The de luxe rooms are just minimalist, no tel. no safety box, no cabinet in the bathroom just toilet and basin.
The owners dogs are loud, barking too much in the pool area and the main doors of the rooms are not that intact.
Will never return to this hotel!

Our family traveled a long ways and was quite excited to be at this hotel and did not expect the situation we were going to experience here . We were even so proud that that was in our hometown that we recommended this place to friends to check in at the same time , little did we know there would be a bunch of issues at this hotel , that would embarrass us to our friends . Upon check in , the don’t have the room we booked available and there’s some guests making complaints at front desk. We then had to check in separate rooms . Wi fi, shower and toilet not working . Next day we had to transfer to another room , better , but still toilet and Wi-Fi not working . To be fair ,the housekeepers / security guard & dining staff did their best to try to help during our stay . A Front desk lady then had to enumerate things /charges that could be potentially charged to us which was quite insensitive to the inconveniences we had. We met the owner who was nice and took all our grievances and it we presented it to be positive feedback to better the hotel services / room situation. The beach and pool experience and cabana were good except the overall terrible room amenities

The staff particularly, those in the lobby/front desk and were very courteous and approachable. The the main dior and rest room door of the room that was given us is noy locking properly, thus we took turns and we make sure that there was at least one person in the unit to look after our things. Our major issue was on the unruly guests that they have which they cannot control and discipline. There was an event during our stay. On top of the events’ noise, the guests ( occopied most of the rooms in our floor who were part of the events were so noisy. They keep shouting, laughing, talking in a VERY VERY loud voice, banging the doors of their rooms not minding that they are annoying other guests. We have called their attention and nicely requested them to tone sown their voices but after few mins they will create noise again as if ghey on top of the mountain. We have reported them to front desk several times from 830pm to 1am but still, the shouting, laughing and loud voices continues until past 2 am. We barely slept at all as they resume their unruly behavior at 5am. We ended up checking out earlier as we cant stand how the hotel is not enforcing their rules at the expense of their other customers as they cannot discipline their unruly guests. We will definitely not go back to this hotel ever and will not recommend them at all. If you want a comfortable vacation, stay away from this hotel.

We had to request for the towel and toothbrush, which are usually already prepared in the room. Staff said that breakfast was already included, but only during checkout that they said it was not.

It’s a nice place not frequented by people. A bit pricy but it’s quite clean. The rooms are not bad. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The only downside is their inability to put an effort to retain customers by allowing opportunities to show better customer service. How much would it cost them to provide free breakfast to those who booked through expedia? Plus a request to move to a different room cost almost the same as the amount of booking another room. That’s like prioritizing profit over customer retention.

We love that they are very welcoming to us and our Husky and we definitely enjoyed our stay. Very Pet Friendly. My hubby enjoyed his birthday and we had fun. Food is delicious. We will definitely come back again and stay with them if we are in La Union. Money well spent ❤️💯
