Good value but be aware that Arch rooms are a walk away from the main building and more like just rooms though there are lounge areas.

Booked into the arch rooms, like an old fashioned ymca/hostel. Stains on the ceiling and carpets. Really old fashioned and not worth the money. Managed to get moved into the main hotel which was an accessible room. Room was nice but barhroom not ideal. Wouldn't stay again.

Check in slightly slow, but staff very friendly. Room very comfortable. Carpets on stairs very worn. Restaurant evening menu limited. Breakfast excellent but dining area way too hot !

The Globe Inn is well located in Wells next to the sea
Very traditional pub with an excellent choice in drink and food
We noted the place is very dog friendly and the easily reachable walk to the quay area, the only negative comment would be trying to find an empty space to park in tbe vicinity, which at high peak times I guess would be worse

Stayed in annexe to which the rooms were adequate but looking tired.
Our room had been 'serviced' but not cleaned as the carpet had not been hovered and there was a build up of dust on some of the furniture
There was also rotting food in one of the drawers which we addressed with the hotel but never even got an apology. Tea & coffee facilities in communal area were not adequate for the number of rooms.
Would I stay there again? ... probably not

We had a great time the staff very pleasant especially Harry and Helen who were very helpful and pleasant

The accommodation in the annex was a little way away from town, but walkable. We arrived a bit early, trying to avoid the rain on bicycles - but staff were understanding and prioritised getting our room ready. Felt uncomfortable arriving by bike, as no options for storing the bikes were provided, and perhaps this might be considered as the location is on the Rebellion Way, which many touring cyclists are doing.

Amazing location, food, service and vibe. Small rooms are good for single travellers.

Abbey house was pleasant, communal area rather tired assume it’s work in progress.
Bedroom ok for last minute stay good value breakfast was excellent.
6.0
We stayed in Arch House which was a five to ten minute walk from the hotel and more like a rather run down hostel than a hotel. Given the cost of the accommodation we would have expected better.

If you're looking for a charming getaway, Arch House in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, is an excellent choice. This delightful spot is not only dog-friendly, but it also features a beautiful garden where you and your furry friend can unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms are impeccably clean and thoughtfully set up- this included two dog beds, dog bowls, dog towels and dog treats which were greatly appreciated. To top it off, the food is fantastic, along with a warm, welcoming atmosphere- we will be staying again thank you.

excellent use of space in room.

We stayed in The Arch House rooms which is a short walk to the main hotel for breakfast, this was not a problem, breakfast choice was superb and we enjoyed our stay.

We were allocated a room in the annex Arch house, being fully aware that it a very old building we found the room rather small and stuffy, needs some maintenance, window very dirty and too much light visible at night from LED lights, I’ll fitting door and window blind and glass window in ensuit door. Carpets not very clean in all areas.

Room was is a tired annex 500m from the Globe. This was not at all clear when making the booking. Dog hair all over the carpets and everywhere smelled musty. Room had water ingress all over ceiling, probably need a new roof. Lots of damage/poor decoration in both bedroom and bathroom. Certainly not the expected quality for what we paid. Will not return and can not recommend staying here. Also on arriving we found out we needed to make a booking for breakfast, in doing so we found we could only be seated at 08:15 or after 09:30 which were not great choices. Why did they not offer a booking when they called a week before to confirm booking.

The property was not what was expected or advertised and beyond that it was scruffy, dirty, tired, not secure - very disappointing. Breakfast was a shining light with excellent service from Alexa.,

We had expected a higher standard of accommodation for the price. We were in a room in the Arches part of the accommodation, which is a 5 minute walk from The Globe and from where breakfast was served. The room was small, although the bathroom was a good size. First impressions is that the place is grubby e.g. both entrance doors are shabby and the steep stairs to the first floor rooms are dirty, as are the walls. The room carpet was also dirty. Also the backdoor with a keypad was never locked. However, it was very quiet and parking was good. Didn‘t like dogs shaking themselves when we were having breakfast. They shouldn’t be allowed in dining areas.

On outskirts of Wells with good parking but no on-site facilities. One nights stay was very expensive for what was offered but desperate measures etc. Bed , very "worn" mattress and room was small. Breakfast in main hotel good and nice walk if not raining!

Really like the globe but the room I stayed in at the Arch house whilst the bed was comfortable the bathroom needs attention there was a lot of mould in the shower and on the blinds

Very comfy stay in a twin room (#35) in Arch House.
Lovely bedding and towels etc, nice toiletries.
Clear and plentiful check in instructions and so easy checking in with lock box.
Only downside was shower was a bit weak and bathroom light didn’t work, looked like it was in process of being fixed as cover was off.

I stayed at the Arch House, which has lovely communal spaces (lounge, conservatory, patio) and is a short walk from the Globe for breakfast. The towels and toiletries were very nice and the handy parking appreciated.
Breakfast was excellent and the coffee especially good. Staff were exceptional.
Worth noting that the old building is not very soundproof and noise travels between rooms (but a minor point in an overall enjoyable stay).

Great dog friendly stay, tasty breakfast included avo toast and full English. My dog was welcomed with open arms from dog menus, treats in the room, attention from the staff and lots of water and bowls around the facilities. Opposite the hotel is a green which is perfect for doggy toilet breaks. The room was really clean and quiet we stayed. Amazing location to Staithe street and the harbour. Only improvements would be air con in the room (they had a fan) and more free parking near the venue, we got lucky with a space on the Buttland

Supposed to be 4 star .mould on bathroom ceiling lock on door broken, radiator nt working badly marked sideboard, downstairs room with path leading to other rooms so no privacy from passers by very poor for the price

Just Average, very very expensive for a very mediocre room, kettle didn’t work ,room extremely warm and bathroom poor ,definitely needs updating ,for £295 on a Saturday night ,I would expect 5 stars ,more like a 2/3 star .

Rooms extremely small and looking very tired.

The service was very good, friendly and extremely help, the cleanliness was also very good too! Crisp bed linen and big fluffy towels! The room needed a bit of tlc though! However this would not put us off staying again, Arch house was walking distance to habour, shops and The Globe and had good parking!

The room was in a separate building about 5 minutes walk from the hotel , and in the an annex to this building. Accessible from a courtyard which means when the curtains are open it is not private . Room was OK and comfortable, tiny bathroom. It was fine for my purpose of a single night, but wouldn’t want to stay for any length of time
Expensive for what was on offer

The Globe in itself is a fantastic pub/restaurant/hotel. Probably the best in Wells by far. However on this occasion i was horrified when the final confirmation came through that we had been put in The Arch House which is dated and on the edge of town. We booked via a third party website that made no mention of the Arch House for the room category i booked and was not clear either on the booking confirmation i received. My advice is to book direct with the hotel to avoid any dissapointment

We stayed in Arch House which is a little tired but overall was very. The location is very good & the surrounding area was great. Breakfast was not great so we only had breakfast on the first morning of our stay.

The room that we stayed in is in desperate need of a refresh, the carpet is dirty and needs replacing, one of the curtains was hanging off the rail, the switch on the kettle wouldn’t stay on I had to hold the switch down so that the kettle would work.
The shower cubicle was very dated and there was black mould in places in the actual shower cubicle.
The bed was comfy and there was plenty of hot water in the shower room.
It was booked at the last minute so was alright for just the one night.
The breakfast at The Globe was very nice and was included in the price that we paid for our room.

Excellent stay with our dog, he was welcomed at every part of our stay and had a dog bed and treats on his arrival.
We stayed in the annex which is probably best for dogs that are affected by noise as it was really quiet and also had a secure courtyard right outside our room.
The food was incredible and the staff were really friendly throughout our stay.
The town is walking distance and it’s a lovely area!

Unexpectedly good. Beautiful Georgian Square close to the harbour. Good facilities in the pub, excellent food and great service. In the room the bed was big and comfortable the room was clean and storage adequate. The bathroom was mostly clean though could do with updating. The extractor fan was terrible and needs to be replaced (it made us laugh it was so loud) the shower within the bath was okay but the lighting could be brighter for shaving and make up. Overall good and we would recommend.

The staff are brilliant very helpful people. The Globe is a great place to stay

Ok so a Saturday night in Wells in June was never going to be cheap. But when you pay £250 for a room surely you should get better than this? Stayed in the Arch rooms to avoid pub noise and it was a small room with a small double bed, overlooking the main road so noisy, but can’t keep the window shut as no other air. Just a cheap B&B but… not cheap!

The location, breakfast and Globe Inn staff were excellent. The code access to the Arch Annex building worked well. The Arch Annex was a lovely building with parking. Unfortunately the room and bathroom were not as described and not to the same quality and standard as the rooms pictured. The room was tiny, no room to manoeuvre around the bed, the bed faced an open courtyard so there was no privacy, the mattress was soft and lumpy, the windows could not be left open at night as the room was on the ground floor, the bathroom was small with a tiny sink the sort you may get in a tiny public loo, the toilet seat was broken and the only two electrical sockets for the kettle/to plug in any phones etc were loose and sparked every time we touched them so very dangerous. The heating didn't work the day we arrived although this was sorted by morning. So not a good experience overall, the owners should be honest and depict the actual room and bathroom, or at least reduce the price for the less desirable rooms as the rest of the stay was good. Perhaps there were nicer rooms at the property, we don't know.

This was a much needed couples break. Wells next -the-sea is a beautiful norfolk seaside.
The photos really sold the place to us, it was a Bank holiday weekend, so expected to pay a little more. Over £700 for a three day break in accommodation I would be moaning about paying £70 a night.
1 double bed, 2 wicker chairs and a desk crammed in to a small room. The chairs are too small for adult size.
The bifold doors leading to a sink, w/c and shower is very crammed in. Instead of the advertised rainfall shower, we had a shower head with a mind of it's own, you literally have to hold it in place as it wants to go any direction but over you.
The conversations from the room above on the first night were as if they were in the same room. When the family room was fully occupied, it was like a herd of elephants had moved in. With their constant stomping and running to their dogs yapping, zero respect from them, sound proofing would have been preferable but thin walls and no protection from above meant the comfortable bed could not be enjoyed.
Breakfast is a 5 minute walk away, shame they don't take advantage of the space there and at least provide continental for those not fussed to walk down for a cooked breakfast. Was so looking forward to the trip, just don't book it in the annex building
