Overall was better than expected although the window of n my room was small, high up & made the room cell like. The toiletries were good quality, the room looked nice & breakfast was nice reasonable although they had no vegetarian sausages. Although the rooms decor was good overall there were 2 things that let it down, firstly there was nowhere to hang anything as the wardrobe had no hangers and there was no hook behind the door for a coat, secondly & more importantly the bed was terrible resulting in an awful nights sleep.

Very nice hotel with extremely friendly reception desk. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed. The mini fridge in my room did make loud whirring noises every now and again which disturbed my sleep, and despite one member of staff asking me for my room number at breakfast I wasn't asked if i wanted anything from the hot menu. I worked out that you have to ring the bell to bring someone in to then ask about the menu which is on the continental breakfast bar, rather than having menus on the table. But it was all very delicious!

Great value for money and facilities. Our room smelled a little bit from time to time but otherwise great experience

Parking was quite difficult as very narrow space to get in. Room overlooked a building site and a public car park. Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was very disappointing. Not worth the £15 a head.No menus on the table. Eggs were undercooked. Beans not sure what they did with those. Hash brown just crumbled when you cut it. One slice of turkey bacon.so I didn’t eat breakfast. Staff weren’t friendly at all. They didn’t interact with you. Just wanted payment. I chose this hotel over premier inn as a treat. Certainly wasn’t a treat at all.Im not sure if we would stay here again.

Went to see 2 gigs at Homefirth , 25 mins on the bus stop 5 mins walk from the hotel , quite handy

The hotel was centrally located but in an area of Huddersfield town centre regeneration so at the moment the area round about is very quiet & run down with a lot of boarded up shops. Few places to eat nearby.
The hotel is beautifully decorated with comfy beds. Our room had a high window we were unable to see out of & unable to open but we were provided with an electric fan (no air-con).
The mirror in the bathroom was too high for me (5’3’’). No plug socket was near a mirror for hair drying, straightening etc. (one socket unusable due to huge, but beautiful bedhead).
We were fortunate to get a good car parking space & that was a real bonus!
The staff on reception were excellent, very pleasant, friendly & extremely helpful, can’t praise them enough.
Would book again, preferably in another room.

Nicely designed hotel with good rooms. Let down by not cleaning the dining room - crumbs on the floor and tables at breakfast service

Hotel was nextdoor to a reasonable parking facility (£15 for 24hrs). Easy reach of the town center, university and train station. Staff were great and decor really nice. Didn't realise that our room was windowless and this made for a very warm night even with the fan provided

It's a newly refurbished building with a very nice and decent interior. It offers free parking and has lovely staff.
However, there were two issues for me: the room and the whole hotel were excessively warm with a lack of air flow or air conditioning, despite the outside temperature being around 16 degrees overnight.
Additionally, the room has vertical blinds which are not very effective at blocking out the sunlight in the early morning, so it was very bright if you need a dark room to sleep in.

Positives - central, really clean, pleasant decor, good service (although check in was a little officious!)
Cons - room wasn't as nice as the images, no hairdryer or iron without asking, really loose toilet seat, not able to close blinds (and could really do with blackout curtains)

Very clean and comfortable, staff at front desk were extremely helpful, reasonably close to city centre. No complaints at all with the room or its amenities. Price/value for money was ok for what I paid (I did book fairly last minute though so might’ve played a part)

Lovely hotel. Very very clean. Chic decor and friendly helpful staff. Only downfall was the English cooked breakfast was swimming in oil.

Positives: Very nice hotel, modern styled, central to ce gre of town. Rooms very clean and spacious. Staff very friendly and free parking if you're lucky to get a space (limited to 8). We were upgraded to a Queen room on arrival.
Breakfast (included) very good.
Negatives: Parking limited, decor in room around windows needs titivating, secondary glazing required in our room (201) as cold penetrated the room from the single glazing however the powerful heating system soon made the room almost unbearable! A very hot hotel (bad news with a hangover after watching the band Red Rum Club @ the Parish)

I thought the room lacked certain things , ie no mirror to sit at and put your make-up on or do your hair with a socket close by ie to style your hair , no hairdryer had to ask at reception, found the rooms very dark , just lacked a feminine touch i think , lovely and warm rooms , and staff very helpful and friendly

The hotel itself seems fine. It is fairly well decorated and presented. However, there does seem to be customer service issues.
On arrival we found the access to the car park was blocked by a vehcile so we popped into reception to ask if it was moving and were told it was there to stop people using it as the owner of the hotel had a function that day and therefore it was out of use. So we had to park overnight elsewhere and pay a fee.
The hotel room only had a very high window (8ft ish) so there was no way to see outside and therefore it felt like a cell rather than a room. It also didn't shut properly as t
The breakfast room was staffed by a young man who thinks it is fine to talk on his phone about his personal life whilst serving coffees from the coffee machine. He even also told another hotel guest how to use the machine for himself (it is behind the breakfast counter) and then dissappeared on off into the hotel again on his phone. There is no background music in the breakfast room which means there is a really cold and awkard atmosphere. Just having a middle of the road radio stastion on would make a huge difference and the PRS license is not that high for this.
It's just a general vibe of the place that makes it feel unwelcoming.

The hotel and staff were lovely.
We were asked to move the car out of the car park as there may be essential works happening the next day. We were told it would be free to park on the road but we received a parking ticket!
Spoke to the hotel about it and they were not very helpful and said we should have parked on the other side of the road!!

When I arrived to check in the recption staff apologised that my room was not quite ready. However, as this was a last minute booking by me that was entirely understandable.
The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. A really good first impression.
The room itself was spacious, well laid out and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom did seem a little cramped particularly the positioning of the toilet. Taller people (such as myself) would struggle to 'sit' without jarring their lnees against the wall mounted radiator directly in front of of the WC
Just a quick warning. Although there is on-site car parking immediately behind the hotel it only has a few spaces available. Access to and the exit from this area is tight and is tricky to navigate in (say) saloon sized cars and larger. Better to use the public 'pay on exit' parking area conveniently next to the hotel.
Overall, a great hotel, well presented, comfortable and wirh brilliant staff.

Disappointing stay.
I had a demand for £50 pre authorisation on credit card on checking in which is not in T&Cs on Hotels.com. They also took payment 4 days before my stay. This is very dodgy business practice when I had selected and been told I would be paying at the property.
Noisy all night and this was a Sunday night not the usual weekend so presumably should avoid Sat and Fri. Hotel guests talking loudly outside my room at midnight had to get up to ask them to be quiet even though reception would also have heard them. Again noisy doors banging and shouting at 3:30am woke me up. Bad nights sleep. Pillows not comfortable.
Walkable to train station.
Breakfast is only help yourself continental.

Beautiful, friendly staff and a window in the room this time. What will be excellent next time will be a bath and a firmer bed.

Great location in the centre of Huddersfield. Brand new fit out but the room we had was quite small. There are 6 on site parking spaces that are on a first come first served basis but we managed to get one.

It was a lovely hotel the only thing wrong was the radiator in the bathroom was not working so it was cold getting out of the shower but for my inconvenience they gave me everything in the mini fridge for free
