It’s great to have a hotel on Capitol Hill, but the room is stunningly sterile for an area with so much personality.

Wonderful place. Clean and super comfortable. Fabulous location easily accessible to great food spots. Definitely book again

This place is a 11 out of 11. Very Clean, very close to the 1 line and buses, very walkable. I loved it

The self-service cabinets for tea/coffee and towels took a bit of getting used to, but it was a clean and comfortable room with everything I needed. About a ten minute walk to transport.

Great location, easy access to transport. Room had everything you need, TV has no standard antenna so you need to cast. Excellent gaff

Lovely stay at the The Boylston Sonder. The only downside was the fact that there was no lift so had to rely on relation to carry cases up 5 flights of stairs. Bed was very comfortable, had coffee machine and refrigerator and if course an air con unit.

They don’t have a front desk. I had trouble entering the building and I had to contact someone from overseas to help me. They couldn’t get me into my room and said they would give me a new code but they didn’t. I have been getting in and out of the building thankfully due to other people letting me in. I would not stay at this property again unless they decided to change things.

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. However, we had just arrived after a week long cruise with a lot of heavy luggage. There is no elevator available to get luggage to the top floor (which we were on). A sign indicated that a service lift was available. I texted the number on the sign and the person who responded didn't seem to know what I was talking about at first. Finally, after about 15-20 minutes of waiting downstairs, someone came and brought our bags up. When we were departing, we had to carry our heavy luggage down 3 flights of steps.

This place was very nice if you are under 30. Read the description of the place carefully. Itvsays in little letters no elevator. I missed that. It also said help would come if asked. We asked twice no one came. We also were unable to stream to the TV. It was a very clean and nice place to stay. But no for us as carry 4 suitcases up 5 flight of stairs was to much for us old people.

Great and super easy to check in. Room was perfect for our two night stay, and it was super close to restaurants and other attractions

I needed to find a more economical place to stay to attend a conference in downtown Seattle -- and did not want to pay the premium price at the host hotel. I discovered the Sonder -- and the reviews were clear about what I was getting: key-less entry with no staff on the premises, no elevator. So I knew that going in -- and it was a terrific choice for me. There is an adjacent city parking garage where I parked my car for $15/day. The key-code was easy to use to access front door and my room. I did not feel stranded because the app provided a number to call if there was a need -- and there was a phone number in my room to call if necessary (along with two chocolates). The whole place is super clean; I walked nearby to get my coffee and found a wine store (and there was a corkscrew in the room)! I convened a Zoom meeting for two hours with the excellent WiFi connection. I am 68 years old, travelling by myself, and navigated the stairs to the sixth floor just fine and walked downtown to my meetings. I got my steps in! I would definitely return.

Had a good experience. compact but fun room. All was clean. Had no problems getting into my room. Made a friendly staff member downstairs.

Very convenient to Capital Hill. Restaurants, ect. right around the corner. One mile walk to Public Market. Great property.
Noisy trash pic from construction across the street early and daily for an hour.

The solitude and quiet was wonderful, the room was modern and clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent -- I didn't feel like I was paying for amenities I didn't want or need.
I did miss having a chair and work surface, as I was staying on business and did have to do a fair amount of laptop work. I made it work, and I could have gone down to the lounge and used the table there, but I didn't want to lug my stuff down there.
Super happy, though, would definitely stay again.

I loved my stay at the Sonder! The staff was so helpful when maintenance in my original room prevented me from checking in early. I received a room upgrade and a refund for the early check-in fee. The Sonder is also conveniently located near the Capitol Hill light rail station, and it's only a short walk to the waterfront. It was my first time in Seattle and, as a young solo traveler, this was an ideal building and neighborhood to stay in!

I was incredibly disappointed in the room. Nothing in the description led me to believe that I had rented a room where the shower was the first thing you saw upon entering and that the only thing "private" in the "private bathroom" was the toilet. There was absolutely no room for two people to move around freely.
A terrible deal for that much money.

Unfortunately, we drew the short stick and got a room on the top floor. It wasn't too bad, as we aren't so old yet that we can't do stairs. However, getting luggage in and out was a challenge. Also, I didn't realize that there would be no cleanings while there. Also, shower privacy was non-existant. Good location to Convention Center and restaurants.

This Property was amazing ! The Sonder had a very cool modern no fuss just easy!
From the get-Go! The check in process was so fast fasted check in so far literally like seconds.
Than shower in the room was amazing! The hot water was hit just the right spot.
Cons: no elevator BUT that was fine However I would not recommend for someone who has physical handicaps. It’s not wheel chair friendly. Maybe there is an elevator.
Either way awesome stay ! Safe and super chill neighborhood

The property was very clean and very well maintained. It was safe and quiet. I really appreciated the free luggage storage....that was very convenient and helpful. I would highly recommended this property

There isn’t an elevator. So if you’re on the 6th floor with luggage you’ll be sorry.

No service at all, but good location. Note: NO ELEVATOR.

This is a solid property. Just know that you are surrounded by homeless folks. Also, the rooms are extremely small. Looks brand new on the inside and a cool vibe.

The city of Seattle needs to be clean, to many homeless and garbage all around the tourist area

Room was clean and didnt have the generic hotel feel that most chains do. I liked the location for eating and being close to the central part of town but on a quiter street.

The property itself is terrific. Truly felt like my own studio apartment. I had a corner room so I had windows on two walls. While there is an espresso maker supplied, I would still rather have a coffee maker. Note to those who might have mobility or stamina issues, there is no elevator, so you may want to request a lower floor.
This part of the neighborhood is not the best but I never felt unsafe. I’d be glad to stay here again!

We were happy to have a simple, comfortable place to stay in the heart of all the CapHill action while visiting some friends for a couple of nights. The air conditioning unit was super loud when it turned on, though it didn’t bother me at night if I used the ear plugs they provided. The room was clean and modern, very compact but typical for a dense city. The ventilation on the shower and WC worked great. The bed was perfectly firm and the pillows were superb. We arrived on the last night of Seattle Pride and Sonder gave us a solid heads-up about the hours, street closures, and other impacts; it didn’t bother us at all. It was nice having Salt & Straw right up the street for an after-dinner treat each evening 🍦

This property is well cared for and my stay was Great! They are responsive and care about your stay. Rooms are very clean and comfortable despite the rooms being slightly smaller. This option is wonderful for solo travel. I would highly recommend. The staff is not 24/7 but they are present some of your stay. You will see them coming and going. There is no elevator if you aren't on the main floor. It is a bit of a different setup but I think it works just fine. Great for walking around Seattle and Cap Hill. I walked downtown/Pike's Market/ Volunteer Park etc. After tons of walking (by choice) I did however get an Uber back up the hills to Boylston. Had I not already walked so much it wouldn't have been too bad of a walk for me but may be for others.

Absolutely loved my stay here! Loved the location, amenities and room!
1.5
The room and location are nice enough, but I can’t reconcile the price for what is essentially a self-service hotel room. The air-con was a unit under a bench and very noisy (louder than my morning alarm). Bizarrely, a white noise machine was provided to drown out any outside noise, but none of this was louder than the air-con itself.

Small room, but works for one. Comfy bed.
Loved the area and food scene in Seattle is awesome.

If you need to be in the neighborhood, it is fine. Otherwise not a great hotel, an expensive Motel 6. Charmless room, everything looks and feels cheap, but it was clean and served its purpose.

awesome!

Your business model is too high tech for me. The television did not function like a normal tv. I spent a lot of time unsuccessfully trying to figure it out. The glass shower in the room proper was odd. Having to call a phone number for offsite assistance was also odd. The online checkin was impossible to negotiate. Otherwise the room and building were pleasantly modern.

This was just perfect. It’s compact, clean, quiet enough, the amenities were outstanding. I wish I had another night to spend here and would book again. My room was perfect for one person but would’ve been fine with my partner as the toilet is in a private closet. A very nice, efficient and affordable space. There’s ice cream across the street!

Interesting concept with no staff on site. But it works well

Everything was easy to access and great food around the area. I liked that they recommended some food places and places to shop at. Overall great experience.
