It was great. They even gave us wine, greeting card and some snacks for our anniversary. We just had some issue with electric outlets to charge our phones.

Not a lot of options for hotels in this area... I know because I visit frequently. For my travel dates, this was the least questionable option. Relatively clean, decent accommodations. When I went to check out, the clerk was on his (handheld/smart) phone and would not look at me or acknowledge that I was there. That left a terrible impression and I will not ever give them another cent.

Great location and clean. Unfortunately soundproofing does not good. Woke up by upstairs customers (around 2 a.m. ) while they back to their rooms. Steps bumping clearly when someone walks.

We really enjoyed our stay at CH Grand Bend. We experienced an evening storm and unfortunately there was water coming in around the window. Hotel staff was very helpful and moved us to a similar room and provided a partial refund for the trouble. Thank you CH!

It doesn't look like much from the road, but the rooms were clean and the staff were wonderful. Every night they lit wood fires to sit around and even gave us marshmallows to roast. Short walk to the beach past all of the shops and restaurants on the main drag.

The hotel was lovely. Clean, great location, everything was walkable. Parking was included. The room was great for our family as it had two seperate small bedrooms, one for my kids and one for myself. While everything was good, for the cost I would have appreciated more amenities- coffee in the room, a dryer on site for drying beach towels/swimsuits, a gym or swimming pool. I'd definitely return but I'd look for deals on the room!

We loved the whole property. Our only complaint is that our room, 138 did not have a black out blind (only a sheer blind) and the lights that were on in the common area made it very hard to sleep. Our room was light up like it was daytime. Staff were amazing, facility is beautiful.

It was a quick stay, check in was easy once we found the lobby. It's deceiving as it's in the building that says Gables Suites. Standard Queen room was very small and the bed seemed smaller than a queen. We were on the 2nd floor with no elevators. It's a bit of a maze finding your room but the room was clean and modern with a small bathroom. Perfect room for what we needed. Just a place to lay your head after a full day in Grand Bend.

No black out curtains in the room and they have very bright spotlights on the hotel all night. They turn them on around 11 and they dont turn off until afte 5am. Im told it's for security..ok well then do what hotels do and get black out curtains. The had blinds you would hang in a window, not vertial blinds or curtains made for a sliding glass door. Even the motel 6 had black out curtains. What they had up, you couldn't walk in and out of your balcony you pay extra for unless you put the curtain all the way up but then people on the road would see you. Who was the mastermind behind the curtain choice? See photos Couldn't sleep entire stay because of the light. Also its very noisy, people in and out, slamming doors, yelling drunk all night long. No sound proofing at all. Rainshower is horrible as well. Zero water pressure. Cannot recommend unless you don't have plans to sleep.

It was a nice place to stay. Very close to the beach. Nice to have free parking. Biggest issue was having a room facing the noisy road. We had to turn the AC fan on high and put on white noise at night to drown out the sound.

Our room was nice, it was very clean, with a comfy bed. We also liked having our own door from our room to the outside. What we didn't like was that that door faced onto the road and we could easily hear the traffic all night. Make sure to request an inward facing room, avoid rooms 101 through 110.

Beautiful hotel! My Daughter and I spent a few days in Grand Bend, and this place made it feel like home away from home. The only comment is that the rooms located on the street side of the hotel get very noisy in the morning due to all of the transport trucks.

The renovations to the property are EXCELLENT. The staff is friendly and helped us with our options available for our stay. The first room we had (double king) had the window right up to the next building. Which was definitely claustrophobic. We switched which was amazing, but the highway is very close and noisy. The charm of the property makes up for it though and we would definitely be back.

Theis was our first stay t the Colonial. It was a beautiful clean property on Main St, just a 9 minute walk to the main beach. It was very clean and the staff were amazing amd friendly. Free coffee and tea in the lobby! They also had marshmallows to roast on the open fire pits! Amazing stay. We will definitely go again.
