Nice and quiet location
Carpet staples on the floor left after the carpet placement. If you are not careful and step on one of them can cause injury. Not very nice signs in the bathroom-If you take soaps with you there will be additional charge of £20. We don’t stay there for this! In the pub the menu is without prices.

Breakfast was good a wider choice of fruit/cerals would be nice. Room was bright modern and comfortable .

Lovely welcoming old pub, with excellent food & ambiance. Room was cozy & tidied whilst we were out.
Slightly disappointed to arrive back last night at 8:30pm, so discover the kitchen closed & not even to be offered a sandwich. Whilst we later read of the kitchen closing hours (which seems very early), I felt a little tardy. In no way did this really spoil our stay.

Amazing location for a short drive into Oxford or a Walk to the Crazy Bear restaurant. The breakfast in the morning was amazing which followed a brilliant night stay in a beautiful room.
Only downside was the bar closes at 6pm on Sunday (the night of our stay) as we were enjoying a cozy evening in the pub. We were informed of this on arrival and so can't complain at all

The food here is exceptional for a 'country pub'; it really does a lot more than the usual burgers and chips! Quality of our meals was superb, as was the generous breakfast. They have managed to keep that intimate and comfortable feel by not overcrowding the tables. All the staff were very friendly and willing to help with any request, and always with a smile.
Our friend's room was initially cold as we couldn't work out the heating - tip to staff - preheat any booked room, particularly in December! [Perhaps add 'instructions' too.] While an okay size, the room felt small. But we were only staying one night.

A welcoming atmosphere and very characteristic, rooms were clean and comfortable.
The food in the restaurant was very good.
I would prefer a shower cubicle to a bath tub.

This is a charming traditional pub inn with an excellent accommodation block which is very nicely appointed. Stylish, modern, comfortable and somehow fitting in with the 16th century inn across from a welcoming courtyard with tables and chairs. The pub is a classic english pub with friendly locals. Loved seeing the visiting dogs.
Only ate in the restaurant one night due to other commitments but the food and service were excellent. I'd love to work my way through the menu.
The continental breakfast was OK but nothing special. Although no pastries was good for my waistline I was still a little disappointed. A minor grumble for an otherwise lovely place.

The very nice relaxing vibes, large rooms and cozy. Good fair breakfast and characteristic english pub.
We will come back surely!
The exit from the parking is a little bit tricky.

Lovely rooms off of a beautiful courtyard.
When the restaurant was open we had great food.
Lovely room which was tastefully decorated.
Shame that shortage of staff meant no food available for the Sunday evening and Monday all day. However we were notified of this prior to our stay and were given 20% discount on that night due to this.
