The Wedge is a spacious, detached holiday home. It is located on the The Ballard Estate, which is an exclusive cliff top community in Swanage. Completed in 2005, this beautiful one storey house is just outside of Swanage town centre and well away from any main road. With beautiful scenery of Purbeck Hills and the sea just stones-throw away, it makes a perfect retreat for families and friends looking for a peaceful break.
The entrance door leads into the bright sitting area and large living room complete with impressive floor to ceiling windows and leather furniture to remind of its time-earned character. The living room is decidedly spacious and offers an escape into the world of books with its impressive collection of literature for a cosy night in. Living room opens into the garden. All bedrooms are bright and airy, and are fully equipped for a home-to-home experience.
The charming town of Swanage offers golden sandy beaches and sheltered waters. With a plentiful range of coastal activities to indulge in, including scuba diving, fishing or walking along the South West Coastal Path; head southwards to discover Durlston Country Park or northwards toward beautiful Studland. You can take a ride on a steam train through the countryside and explore a nearby, picturesque village of Corfe Castle. For a very special experience take a boat cruise to Poole Harbour to see some of Dorset's greatest coastal landmarks such as Brownsea Island, Sandbanks and the Old Harry Rocks.
There are many dining stops in Swanage offering everything from a-la-carte menus to family-friendly lunches, using fresh local produce. For delicious catch of the day head to Bliss Food (number one restaurant by Trip Advisor) or stop by ‘The Cabin' – dog friendly beach cafe & bar to enjoy traditional breakfast after an early morning swim.

Great location, very quiet with a pleasant stroll along the beach to the centre of Swanage. Very well equipped with high quality furnishings and plenty of room for us all. Lovely scenic view from the lounge. Would be happy to return in the future.
