We had a perfect one night stay in Trinidad! We had two families and 3 dogs and the house worked out great- we cooked dinner and hung out in the backyard as well! We will definitely stay again the next time we are traveling through Trinidad !

Our family of seven stayed at Randy‘s place. Everything was perfect! You really appreciated all of the little touches that were there including family games to play, multiple ways to make your coffee, and a functioning washer and dryer. The backyard is fantastic and Randy was a wonderful host with great communication all along the way. Thank you for a fabulous time in Trinidad.

I was sadly disappointed in our stay. This was my third time staying at the Historic Western Trinidad home, so I expected the same wonderful experience. First of all, we did not arrive to Trinidad until a little after 7p, yet the owner saw that the house was unlocked at a much earlier time. We think it actually may have been unlocked when we arrived. The house was not clean. Dust and debris were in many of the rooms, dirty silverware was in the dishwasher, the downstairs bathroom rug was wet, the upstairs toilet was running and did not flush properly. Paper towel dispenser had half of a sheet left, and dog poop bag dispenser was empty. Many of the dishes that were in the cabinet were very dirty. Several lightbulbs in and outside of the home were out. It just appeared to me that this once clean and charming home is not being well-maintained, which is sad since it’s really cool place. The owner is responsive and friendly, but his response to my concerns was to blame the uncleanliness on previous guests and did not address my specific complaints.

We really enjoyed staying at this house. There were enough beds and rooms for those of us coming from out of town, and I loved that the add allowed for visitors. It was wonderful to be able to have the family that lived in town come over for dinner, board games, etc. It's a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Just a few blocks from downtown and about a mile from Simpsons rest. The bathrooms and showers were a little quirky, but functional. I will definitely try to book this residence again the next time I visit.

We loved our time in Trinidad in this charming house. If we are ever in the area, we will stay there again

The home is large and clean. The bathrooms have soaking tubs only. The water pressure downstairs won’t support the shower. The upstairs has no shower.
There is no grass in the “park like” backyard.

We had everything we needed for our family group of 8… ages 7, would, 16, 19, 22, and 2 grandparents in their 70’s.
Our son lives in Trinidad and was within a short walk. The large size of the living room, dining room and bedrooms gave us plenty of room to spread out, especially when the local family joined us and our numbers went to 13. The back yard was great for us and the dog(s).
My only suggestion would be to trim the master bedroom door so that is closes all the way.

The backyard was exactly what we have been looking for, large, secluded in a oasis of Sunflowers. That was the highlight of the trip. It was calming, relaxing and the beauty of nature. My little doggy, Zenyatta really enjoyed it also. I would suggest you include a beautiful picture of the backyard with all those sunflowers on vrbo website of your house, a nice touch for those who visit in the summer. The bathtubs were wonderful and large. The home had a feeling of being back in the 1880's. We really enjoyed! We will be back again. Thanks for sharing this house.

The house is great for the age. But forgot that an old house probably a little short on bathroom space. There were 7 of us and only 1 shower. Coming out of the upstairs bathroom a little dangerous if you're not paying attention, as the stairs are right there. Yard in rough condition and very buggy. overall great experience though.

I can’t say enough good. From check in to check out, everything was easy and well planned. Our family vacation celebrating my daughters birthday and the men on Father’s Day… it was a dream trip. Amazing amenities. Amazing proximity to beach. Plenty of games to play at the house. Loved having the convenience of the golf cart already there. The house it self was beautiful… just perfect. Thank you so very much for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Cousins made some amazing memories together

This was our halfway stop for a drive to Steamboat Springs, and it was such a great start to our vacation! The home is beautiful, and very well maintained. It was the perfect amount of space for our family of 5. The outdoor space was wonderful and our kids spent most of their time there. I would highly recommend and will return!

I really enjoyed this home! I love quirky, historical, or otherwise unique places. They are much more memorable than a standard hotel room. And, if you are into standard hotel rooms, well, you may not want to stay here. It has all of the charm and character of a very old house – beautiful woodwork and architectural detail, but some uneven floors, gaps in the doorways, and sometimes the heat wasn’t evenly disbursed. We loved it all the more for that!! My mother was positively giddy when she saw the big, clawfoot tub upstairs. She grabbed a bath bomb and glass of champagne and settled in. I would have loved to hear some of the history of this home!
The amenities were good, although my mother and husband could have used instructions on how to use the coffee bar machines (I figured out one, but not the other).
I recommend this very unique home and appreciate the stay!

This was such a great place to overnight on the way to our yearly ski vacation. I wanted to find a sweet little home rather than staying at a hotel. This really was th perfect place. It was super quaint, clean and plenty of room. The host was quick to respond and very polite. I highly recommend!

We had a quiet, restful stay at this beautiful home in Trinidad. The neighborhood was great for walking our dog, and our kids loved playing in the nicely landscaped backyard. I loved the little extras like a bath bomb from a local maker to use in the clawfoot tubs. My only concern was that the stairs are steep and the upstairs bathroom is right at the top, so if you have really little kids you might want to keep them in the one bedroom downstairs at night. A gate at the top of the stairs might be useful for those who have smaller children so they don't fall going to the bathroom at night, but we managed just fine.
