Pennyard House is a fabulous four-bedroom home sleeping six and newly renovated in 2022 to a high standard providing a spacious yet homely retreat for your break away. Turn into the driveway of Pennyard House where there is plenty of parking. Stepping inside, on the ground floor you have a large entrance porch and hallway leading to the living room with comfortable seating and Smart TV, the perfect spot to relax after a day out exploring. The open plan kitchen/dining room comes extremely well equipped with everything you could need during your stay, while the dining area has dining table for six and a TV, making this the perfect space to relax and enjoy family meals and play games together. Off the kitchen is a garden room with rattan corner sofa and French doors that lead to the rear enclosed courtyard garden which is full of beautiful plants and a fabulous six-person hot tub. The garden area is wonderful any time of day or night, with gorgeous lighting in the evening. The utility room can be accessed via the kitchen or the rear garden and has a tumble dryer as well as a downstairs toilet. Heading upstairs, the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and large en-suite shower room. Bedroom two has a super kingsize zip and link bed, for flexibility this can be made into twin beds. Bedrooms three and four are both single rooms with space for a cot and / or travel cot if needed, and the spacious family bathroom has a bath with shower over and heated towel rail. The owner has thoughtfully provided bath robes.
To the front of Pennyard House is a lawned garden area with seating, and is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a tipple or two and reflect on your day while enjoying some glorious Somerset sunshine. Within easy walking distance of Pennyard is the village of Banwell, with local pubs, Indian restaurant/takeaway, local fish and chip shop and village stores all within a 5-minute walk. Just a few minute’s drive away is the Avon Ski Centre for skiing with snowboarding and outdoor pursuits for all the family. Also the famous Thatchers Cider distillery, where you can have a guided tour of the mill and sample some of the fabulous ciders on offer in Thatcher’s own pub restaurant ’The Railway Inn’. Only 15 minutes away is the beach at Weston Super Mare, with the pier and amusements providing fun for all the family. Puxton Park Animal Farm is a 10-minute drive away and has rides, indoor soft play and a restaurant to enjoy and explore. Cheddar, with its famous gorge is a short drive away. Sample some traditional Somerset Cheddar, have an afternoon tea or for the more adventurous, take a walk up through the gorge. The historic cities of Bath and Wells are both to be explored and within an hour’s drive through the beautiful Mendip hills countryside.
