Since I relocated from Ross-on-Wye 10 years ago, I've travelled back a few times a year - this time I thought I'd try somewhere different. I'm so glad I did!
This hut is a fab place to stay, I was looking for somewhere clean, safe and quiet. This ticked all the boxes and more. Couldn't believe it when I woke up at 8am - when I stay in a hotel I'm woken all through the night by banging doors. Not here!
(Very) hot, high pressured water, comfy bedding and a little (verh effective) heater. Even a heated towel rail.
Beautiful views!
I sat on the bed and got a waft of clean glorious smelling fresh bedding. The towels were the same.
I've noticed other reviews saying things like 'no fridge, no microwave, no washing up liquid' - these were all present as they must have been added since. And the host offered milk.
Not things that I didn't like - things that could make this place even better...
Handles on the cupboard under the sink.
Bathroom mirror.
Something to stop the bed moving when you sit down/ something to stop it loudly creaking when I turn in my sleep.
Teeny spruce up of the marks on the walls.
None of these are big things and the hut is so fabulous.
Things to bear in mind if you're looking to stay here:
Probably not the best if you're over 6'2, it's a fabulous place on the petite side!
Parking on site which felt very safe.
Pillows were thick and plump - most people love this but I'm a thin pillow lover! I'll bring my own next time which is an easy fix and personal choice.

Nice situation.
There were long dark hairs on one of the bed cushions, all of the power switches had gaps around them making them look unfinished. The host greeted me in his underwear !! He pointed me in the direction of the hut but didn't show me round. Finally even though they provided milk there were no cups and only one small pack of caffenated coffee and a handful of decaf, I Finally managed to make a poor excuse for coffee in the milk bottle. Over all not good value for money and wouldn't stay there again.

quirky and a good location
No mirror on the bathroom wall, no bin next to the kitchen sink, no shelf in the shower. Rug by the bed would have been welcome as the floor was extremely cold.

Great location, Cosy room with enough space to move about, everything made very easy, warm, great views, good pub nearby
Could have been cleaner, lots of dust in the bathroom left over from cleaning that had just been pushed about, dirt behind the shower door, no washing up liquid or sponge to do any washing up, bed moves about a lot

everything and two very good pubs for food and drink within walking distance
nothing to dislike

it was so clean, and we spent our NYE here and I wouldn’t of changed anything - it was brilliant.
maybe a few more amenities ie a microwave, a bin and maybe a few little shower gels in the shower but other than that it was perfect. couldn’t fault it

Very comfortable and spotless accommodation
Nothing everything was perfect
9.0 / 10.0
location, decor, comfy bed, good shower, off street parking, charming
lack of facilities: no microwave, fridge was small and no crockery, cups. I took food with me but no means to reheat it. I was tired after long drive so didn’t want to go out to eat. If these facilities were present, sitting in the garden to eat in summer would be absolutely delightful. Also bathroom needs mirror and shelf.

This is a lovely, slightly quirky ‘hut’. The hut has very recently been constructed and is in excellent condition. The hut has an electric heater and warms up very quickly. There is dedicated parking outside the hut and a nice enclosure for the sole use of guests.
The host provided joining instructions and we were able to ‘check in’ late at night without having to bother him. You should be aware that the entrance into the parking area isn’t very obvious, so you need to be on the lookout as you approach.
These are more ‘nice to haves’ than criticisms. It would have been nice to have a little hob or microwave - there is a kettle and toaster, but you couldn’t actually cook a proper meal. It would also be nice to have a TV. Finally it would be nice to have some more space to put things down - there’s a plug socket behind the bed with usb sockets, presumably intended for phone charging, but the only place to put your phone is on the floor. It’s the same in the bathroom - nowhere to put your toothpaste etc. it would be great to have a few shelves dotted around. Please understand that these are minor suggestions for improvement, the Hut is great!

The location was really good and easy parking. The views are stunning and so peaceful. The hut was spotlessly clean and cozy. it was great for our one night stay. The owner and family were really lovely and helpful.
The only things that would be really useful would be a full length mirror, a fridge and a microwave. i saw the fridge has been ordered. it would be great to be able to have a small microwave meal if needed. other than that all good.

The location of the hut was amazing. It was perfect for my boyfriend and I as we were travelling late at night to South Wales from Manchester. It was a perfect spot in between.
Our favourite feature was definitely the location alongside the outdoor fire pit. We went to a nearby shop and picked up some supplies for some outdoor cooking and relaxing by the fire. It was a nice reset with nature. Adam was great with us, he helped us out with anything we could ask for. He helped us set up the fire and get comfy. I personally have an electric car and Adam was more than happy to accommodate me with charging it by letting me plug it in. The Hut was clean and modern and cosy. Despite the recent hot weather, we didn’t feel too hot- in fact indoors was quite cool. Adam was so kind and helpful, we were given an arrival gift for us to remember our stay. He also asked for any recommendations which was great.
I found myself driving past the entrance as it isn’t well lit, but this could be an easy fix with a sign and a couple of lights. My partner and I recommended there to be towels as we had not brung any with us. It would have also been nice to have some outdoor cooking utensils (like BBQ utensils) to aid with food preparation.
If you don’t like bugs then this isn’t for you, it’s in the middle of nowhere so there were many bugs but that was expected!
