The view of Moorea is truly spectacular from the back porch. The small house is clean with a nice modern kitchen and a small refreshing pool. Three geckos and some bugs quickly got in after we arrived, apparently through some gaps in the windows or sliding doors. The chirping geckos were annoying mostly to my wife. There also some other issues: the safe didn't work, the sheet on the bed didn't fit properly and there was a strange noise every 15-30 minutes that sounded like someone tapping a microphone.
The two biggest negative issues were: finding the house and the rough steep road up to the property. First of all her directions were hard to understand and didn't translate well from French to English. Google map link in VRBO was close but wrong. Another problem was as you near the house, she describes a Y and you should take the right fork. Unfortunately, there really are three road options and if you take the far right road you end up on an extremely steep and frightening road with NO turn arounds. DO NOT TAKE THE FAR RIGHT OPTION!
Take the middle prong, or the right prong of the left split.
For sure, do not try to find it at night. If you use Google Maps use the following: Tahiti Moetama Cosy Lodge, Puna'auia, French Polynesia.
Finally, the check in material said we would do a self check in, but the owners had some one waiting on us. We were running late and we did not notify anyone since we didn't think it was necessary. I could not find anything in my emails about it

Stunning views over Puna’auia and across to Mo’orea. A lovely place to stay and fitted with everything we needed for a few days.

This home has a stunning view at a great price.
The interior photos are unfortunately no longer accurate. The couch is not as inviting and is very basic. The home has great features such as retractable doors onto the terrace and a nice kitchen. But cooking and dining supplies as in many rental properties are mismatched or non-existent. Since we enjoy having a kitchen for the purpose of cooking, that is a disappointment. Finding it initially was difficult because of mislabeled directions but we were not at all put off by the steep climb. It was worth it for the dramatic cliff top position and privacy, which for the price can’t be beaten. On the upside the WiFi was great and the TV worked flawlessly. The pool was very nice. We enjoyed our stay overall and simply hope the owners will make some very modest investments so the total experience matches the view.

Checkin and check out were easy and pain free. Property was very nice. View was spectacular.

We had a short layover in Tahiti for 3 days following our cruise on the Aranui and I chose this property up in the mountains for its location and privacy. We weren’t disappointed. It is somewhat challenging to drive to and you definitely need a car, a manual one is better. The properity was just as beautiful as advertised but unfortunately they are doing road construction down below it so there was some construction noise during the day but it really didn’t bother us that much. The owner was very helpful in accommodating our needs. We would stay there again.

New home with amazing view. The patio is great with water views in the day and incredible stars at night. AC works great. The doors open up wide to give an inside/outside vibe. Just know in doing this bugs/gecko/spiders get it. We felt it was worth it. Navigating to the property is a little tricky with a bumpy dirt road at the end. Using goggle maps is a must. Overall great stay and would stay again.

Fortunately, driving instructions were very clear as it involved 1.5 km ascent, last leg on bumpy road, but once we entered the gate, wow! Villa was excellent, pool was great and deck has fabulous views of Pacific & Moorea. as usual, kitchen lacked gourmet equipment, but otherwise all was excellent. Owners were very helpful as well.

The owners are easy to work with and the place is easy to find using google maps. All I did is look up the name of the place, put it in maps and it took me right there. Views are stunning! Loved it.

Very private, clean, pool was wonderful for the kids, large TV, nice full size kitchen. Only downside was the A/C could barely keep the bedroom cool at night and beds were not very comfortable. Also kitchen utensils and pots and pans were subpar. Could have used more toilet paper and papertowels but not a big deal as we just purchased them at the store.
Overall we would stay here again!! Thank you for a lovely stay in Tahiti. Views of the ocean, sunset and the island of Moorea were magical!

I doubt if there is a better view anyplace on the island. The house is immaculate. On top of all the host was exceptional

Very nice...wish opening windows and sliding doors had screens. Too many bugs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The views were unmatched. If you follow the directions provided, you’ll have no problem finding the property. Felt safe, lots of privacy, clean pool, and easy to access highway. Perfect size for my husband and I. Highly recommend!!

We spent two glorious weeks at Moetama Lodge Iti..we didn't want to leave.
It is a 1.5km drive up from the main road, and is perched on the mountainside with views across to Moorea.
The villa was well equipped, and actually had more than specified on the site: including a Nesspresso machine.
The open plan kitchen living area opens on to the wrap around balconey where we ate our meals and rekaxed...and watched whales in the bay below. Sliding windows open on to the balcony so there is a real sense of space. Bedroom had loads of storage and again had sliding widows opening on to the balcony.
The pool was a delight, even though we spent most of our mornings down by the lagoon we enjoyed coming back and just chilling.
We rented a Suziki Swift and it coped with the drive up the hillside with no problem. We note that some visitors have talked about the terrible road. Yes there are numerous potholes but you must remember this is a tropical island. There is no danger involved with the drive. However if, like us, your flight arrives in the night, recommend that you stay in Papeete or at the Aiport hotel ,( we did) until morning...driving in the dark up the road for the first time may not be a good option
Parking at the villa was secured but we would advise anyone booking a car to go for a small car as the available parking space is limited.
We shopped at both local supermarkets (Auchan and Carefour) and they were excellent.
In all a wonderful villa, where you can relax

The host was so accommodating, the home was well equipped and there is no better view. The only disappointing issue was the pool was dirty and full of ants. That aside I would not hesitate to rent again.

While both the view and the property were very nice, my only concern was the drive to the property very scarry hill.
be sure to have a good car and know how to drive well a manual car if you want to rent this property. unpaved road with lots of holes. I wouldn't drive it at night so we stay in before it got too dark. Also be sure to print the direction before you go as it is not easy to find.

Great views and good breezes. House is WAY up on the hill so don’t get the Kia Rio rental car 😵💫. Plunge pool was great. Nice to have a washer and dryer too. Basic household items are provided. Easy to get into and out of as far as check in.

We loved our stay. The view was spectacular and the sunsets over Moorea even more incredible. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
The property is up the mountain quite a ways. Having GPS really helped us to follow the directions provided. Coming in after dark as we did, it could have been challenging, without the GPS. The trek up the mountain is quite steep. The final leg on the mountain includes driving on one-lane, dirt/gravel roads. This could be a little intimidating if one is not used to driving in these conditions.
The location was perfect for us. It was about 20 minutes from the airport, a little less to downtown Papeete, and even a little closer to some lovely restaurants we visited.
