Schönes Appartement mit Meerblick

Das Appartement befindet sich im Obergeschoss eines Hauses direkt an der Ecke Catherine St./Cosey Beach Av. Es ist groß und schön gelegen. Es gibt einen großen Balkon und große Fenster mit Meerblick. Neben dem bequemen Wohnzimmer gibt es ein großes und ein etwas kleineres Schlafzimmer. Das Kingsize-Bett im größeren Schlafzimmer ist sehr bequem. Natürlich ist das Appartement klimatisiert. Das Bad ist groß und verfügt über eine schöne Dusche. Die Küche ist mit Herd, Ofen, Mikrowelle und großem Kühlschrank ausgestattet und es gibt einen Esstisch mit vier Stühlen. Der Balkon ist sehr groß und mit einer kleinen Bank, einem Schaukelstuhl und einem kleinen Tisch möbliert. Man kann auf der Auffahrt parken. Das ist wichtig, denn während der Saison ist für Ortsfremde das Parken fast überall verboten oder sehr teuer. Die Strände in East Haven sind fast alle privat und dürfen nicht betreten werden. Woher die guten Google-Bewertungen für den Silver Sands Beach und den West Silver Sands Beach kommen, ist uns nicht klar, man darf sie wie gesagt nicht betreten. Es gibt aber einen nicht weit entfernten kleinen öffentlichen Strand. Es gibt zwei fußläufig erreichbare Restaurants, die wir aber nicht besucht haben. Es gibt auch einen winzigen Laden, für größere Einkäufe braucht man das Auto. Insgesamt hat uns das Appartement gut gefallen und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir haben den Küchenlichtschalter nicht gefunden. Außerdem wäre eine Nachttischlampe schön. Es gab relativ wenig Geschirr, was uns zu zweit aber nicht gestört hat. Auf dem Balkon wäre ein zweiter Schaukelstuhl schön und ein etwas größerer Tisch. Es steht zwar ein Grill auf dem Balkon, aber man kann bei der vorhandenen Möblierung dort nicht vernünftig essen. Das ist aber alles Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Exceptional

Very clean, very comfortable, close to the beach, great view, lovely and quiet neighborhood. The owner was very friendly and approachable. We will definitely book it for next year!

Disappointing

Stove/oven not working. Chair on deck broke when sat in it,no regulat TV stations, stereo not working, no supplies such as toilet paper. No parking passes, and walk to beach is 6 blocks away. Beach haS all broken shells and rocks very dangerous. Pics were not of the apartment renting out on website

Glad I chose this apartment over a chain hotel for a short stay

Being close to the shore we experienced the smells and sounds of the sound, bringing back some nostalgic memories of living nearby many years ago. The location is easy walking distance to the public beach, and near a salt marsh with a small river. Parking was convenient and easy (but note we were there in mid-May). The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Little things like coffee filters for the drip coffee maker, and some cooing essentials in the cupboard enhanced our experience.

Being an older place built on a shore expect some idiosyncrasies... initially finding light switches was a fun challenge, and floors/doors had a "natural" rather than a "geometric" structure. None of this really detracted from our stay.

Excellent

The cleanliness, the location, the tranquility of the surroundings are fantastic. Most beaches are within driving distance. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable vacation rental in CT.

Superb

Clean and comfortable. Beds were good. Very self contained with laundry, and ability to cook. Tv worked well.

Rather steep steps to gain entry. Another entrance on the front corner would be much easier.

Peaceful and comfortable

The location was very quiet, peaceful and really close to the sea, restaurants and a little shop in walking distance plus a bus that takes you to town. The apartment is very spacious and clean and the kitchen fully equipped.

We would have preferred a more private outdoor space a little bit away from the walkers on the street but then again there were not that many.
