Absolutely serene and most scenic / peaceful hotel I’ve stayed at

Absolutely beautiful views, very comfortable rooms and facilities. Fantastic hospitality, great wine and the complimentary wine tour of the vineyard was even better. There’s also some trails you can do and hike which was enjoyable. Pool and bar are also great.

Food could’ve been better but it wasn’t too bad. Just in comparisons to other nice restaurants in Porto. They should make it adults only. A lot of couples, like us, were there to enjoy peace and wine. Few kids on the last day of our travel were quite loud in the pool and sound travels in such a quiet area. So please, leave your kids behind and enjoy the hotel and wine!

Would definitely come back

The service is amazing, the personnel is nice and always ready to help. Couldn't ask for more The pool next to the river is very nice, walking through the vineyards and obviously appreciate the great wine and story.

The rooms were good but there was no differentiation, they are standard inside. The eggs for breakfast could be improved

Giving high end Napa Valley a run for its money

* Accommodating and friendly staff * Bang for your buck (a similar accommodation in Napa Valley would be $600 and up per night) * Beautifully decorated public spaces * Modern building architecture (we stayed in the new building) * Beautiful outdoor areas * Seclusion and quiet (we went in off-season) * Bountiful breakfast * Educational wine making and tasting tour

Wish we could have hiked the trails on their property but it was raining during our stay.

Spectacular views, food and facilities

This place was like something out of a movie. The views were spectacular. The wine tour included was really cool even if you are not one for wine tours I highly recommend to check it out. The facilities and grounds of the hotel were absolutely stunning. The dinner with wine was so good but make sure you go super hungry because they give you a ton of food. Our air conditioning unfortunately was not working but they brought us a fan which helped and they also took care of our drinks that evening. Highly recommend we wish we could have stayed longer!

The staff were very professional, friendly, and reached out to you to ensure everything was good. Really impressed with staff from checkin to breakfast to cleaning. We stayed in the new rooms which were stunning. Comfy bed, good shower, beautiful modern design. Some people say it’s dark but I think it’s just personal preference/aesthetics. Love all the shared space like lounge and the grounds. Yes you can see the road but that’s a pretty consistent thing in the Douro Valley, especially if you want to stay at a place with quick access to surrounding areas. Road is quiet and you don’t hear road noise when the slider is closed.

Internet was virtually nonexistent in the rooms. Should probably fix that as it wasn’t even strong enough to make a WhatsApp call to family back home.

A hidden jewel with historical overtones and private jet level amenities

Dinner was excellent & wine pairings were very thoughtful and professional The spa is unique in my experience. ( a comprehensive spa limited to one guest at a time Breakfast was also good . The winery red wine products are top grade ; especially the vintage reds

No AC until summer . On arrival room was warm . Mountain naturally cooled off at night though My only regret : not staying longer Spend 2-3 nights ; but have access to car or rental car

Amazing stay and highly recommended

Amazing hotel and area with friendly staff. Spa was perfect and included in the stay with the jacuzzi having a great view in front of the orange tree garden. Pool area is amazing and highly recommended to spend some time there. We also had an amazing experience with the wine tasting and a super friendly guide. Overall, I would definately recommend a stay (and preferably more than 1 night) at this hotel. Thank you for an amazing stay.

AMAZING... book this place!

This place is definitly worth the money, not cheap but AMAZING. Everything from the service to the breakfast to the facilites was fabulous! There is a winery tour and tasting available for guests, it is included in the price but you do need to book. Antonio was our guide and was amazing. The tour was done in English (there was also a Portuguese one going round) and was so informative all with a sprinkling of light humour too... All questions were answered and little stories really brought it to life. The tasting afterwards was also fantastic. It was meant to take about an hour or so.. well... 2 hours and 10 mins in we were still going.... the time just flew as we were all enjoying ourselves so much .. to a point that we had dinner booked and had to get a golf buggy back to the hotel proper to change quickly for dinner! DO book the dinner in the evening, it is a multi course delight with different wines to match.. really worth it. The pool area was lovely and there was a nice touch of a port and tonic ingredients left in the room to make up a complimentary cocktail.. all with instructions too. the bed was huge and really comfortable, there was everything you could possibly need in the room, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, robes, slippers, fridge and loads of hot water. The breakfast had everything you could possibly think of and lots of hot options to order to be cooked fresh.. we had poached eggs and an omlet.. all very good.

The pool was lovely but a bit cold...... too cold for a swim from me.. but I am a wimp.. nice to put you feet into though.

Amazing! Beautiful surroundings, relaxing pool, quiet atmosphere, amazing food and wine pairings and staff who were really friendly and really knowledgable about the wines. There’s also lovely short hikes you can do in the vineyards. We’ve had a perfect time :-)

Perfect stay with quality, taste and nature

Lovely wine boutique hotel with quality and taste in every corner. Besides the great architecture and interior, we especially loved the garden and pool area. Food and wines (of course) were top, also at good prices, given that many wine hotels sell their products extremely expensive in their own hotels... The offered services (bikes, fishing, kanus) are great to enjoy the surroundings.

Not too much to complain, only the rooms are a little dark, given that the balcony is tiny and doesn't allow too much light into the room. The balcony chairs look beautiful but unfortunately are not functional or comfortabe, which makes the balcony not too enjoyable.
