We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Beautiful location and cottage was very clean, as listed. Bread and local eggs left on arrival. Great spot for the family, thankyou.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Spring Cottage. It is situated at the end of a quiet lane with fantastic views over the Wye Valley. The cottage is decorated to a very high standard with a lovely garden. There are lots of interesting walks that you can start from the cottage. It was spotlessly clean and was well equipped. We would highly recommend!

Beautiful cottage, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Very secluded with great walks, variety of birds visiting and tranquil garden while still being close to beautiful little towns. Would definitely return if looking for relaxation with options. Lane a little daunting initially but became less so after first journey. Loved this place🤩. Host close by if needed but we had all we required at the property.

Cosy, peaceful cottage with beautiful views
We had a fantastic few days at Spring Cottage - our mini winter break from London really exceeded our expectations. The cottage was very clean & cosy & the real bonus for us was having some excellent walks from just outside the cottage & not having to use the car. Morning views from the cottage over the river were magical with all the mist rising...and the clear night skies were a real treat.

Warm, friendly, peaceful home from home.
A truly lovely, snug and warm home from home tucked into the hillside in a peaceful valley - remote enough to switch off entirely but close enough to a great local village store or a short drive to Chepstow or Monmouth to have all you need to hand. Beautifully clean and warm, piping hot water, full central heating + generous supplies of wood for the wood burner (with an honesty box to top up, so much nicer than the usual requirement to buy more elsewhere); beds so clean and comfy, decor immaculate and welcoming, everything you need in the kitchen. Perfect escape to chill and walk through the woods or down to the river and along to Tintern if you’re feeling active! Lots to do in the local area - highly recommended. But more than anything a special shout-out’ to the property manager who was informative, friendly and helpful ahead of our visit and then went above and beyond to reunite us with some lost property. A great place to stay and a big thank you to everyone involved.

Lovely well equipped cottage
Spring Cottage was really well equipped, have stayed in places before and had to bring or buy the basics which can be very inconvenient - down to kindling for the fire and olive oil to cook. We didn't use the car for the 3 days we were there, as there are plenty of walks from the doorstep, into beautiful countryside - would throughly recommend.

Relaxing stay
The property was not isolated as other people have written, but there is about a mile of narrow road to reach the property, with passing places. Saying that the whole week we were there we didn't once come across another car. Beautiful area with lots of walks from the door and a lovely community shop in the village. Everything you needed in the cottage was there and the Dogs loved it too!

Beautiful little cottage
Pretty, quaint and secluded up a long narrow lane with just a handful of properties around. Nestled in amongst the trees with lovely views this cottage ticked all the boxes for us, a village pub and not far from tintern, monmouth and chepstow. A beautiful place to stay

Beautiful cosy cottage
Spring Cottage is beautiful. So cosy and in such a peaceful location. We found the cottage easily from directions given and managed the narrow lane! The cottage was clean and tidy and everything we needed was provided which is not always the case. Bread and eggs were much appreciated - as was the wood supply! We managed several muddy walks and our dog had a wonderful time too. We would definitely recommend your cottage to friends .
Thank you David

Lovely cottage with great walks in the woods from the doorstep
Comfortable, well-equipped cottage at the end of a long single track road - a somewhat daunting drive the first time, but you get used to it. There’s a log burning stove which is very welcome on cold, damp days. It’s just a short climb through the woods from the back door onto Offa’s Dyke path and there are endless paths to explore - our dog loved them, just as we did. Tintern Abbey is an impressive ruin in walking distance, and it’s an easy drive to either Chepstow or Monmouth for good restaurants. The Misbah in Monmouth is a curry house which is a cut above most and Newbridge on Usk 15-20 miles across the hills is a great place right on the river for a special lunch or dinner.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area but with access not for the faint hearted driver
Blessed with beautiful weather and outstanding countryside the cottage was ideal for our requirements with a secure garden and dog walking from the door. The access lane unfortunately discouraged use of the car though for us this was not a major issue during our short stay.

Delightful cottage in a wonderful location
If you want peace and quite, this is the place for you! The cottage is tastefully finished to a very high standard with many thoughtful touches. Comfy beds, quality linens, a delicious welcome pack and a few thoughtful ingredients in the kitchen all added to the overall quality. The location is stunning and allows a wide variety of outdoor activities in a beautiful area. Having the owner close is useful for any unseen eventualities!

Cosy cottage
A lovely, well appointed cottage in a secluded valley very close to the River Wye. Brilliant welcome pack of eggs and bread and plenty of firewood, kindling can be found in the woods. The road in to the cottage, Underhill, is narrow but you get used to it, the cottage is pretty much at the end of the road, you just keep to the right at any forks.
We would definitely return here for an Autumn break.

Cozy Home from Home
Comfortable, cosy cottage in a beautiful setting. Quality bedding and well equipped holiday home. Very clean. The lane to the cottage is very narrow and care needs to be taken but after first time you get used to it. The welcome loaf and eggs was a lovely gesture and basic things like teabags, hairdyer all add to an excellent experience. We will certainly go back at a future date, loved it!
