House was really nice and a great little getaway with some friends. Would be nice if there were vents or heaters in some of the rooms on the second floor as it does get cold in there. Other than that, had a great time and house was great.

My group checked in Friday 3/24/23 afternoon around 5pm for a two night stay. Check-in required going to an agency to do an in person check-in. In person checkout was not required. As soon as we entered the home, the house was freezing. I called the number that was given on the directions for help, and no one came to help turn on the heat. We had three young children and 12 adults. We had to go out and buy wood to try and warm up the upstairs living room/dining room area, but it was still extremely cold. We ended up having to bring everyone to the lower ground floor where the table games and two of the rooms with the bunk beds were, to keep warm. We ended up all sleeping downstairs wherever we could find space on the sofa, and floor. We couldn’t even sleep comfortably or use the rooms that we paid for, due to the unlivable conditions with no heat upstairs for 4 of the rooms. Both master bedrooms and the two rooms with the queen beds were too cold to sleep in. After multiple messages, the host finally responded and someone finally came out the following day and turned on the power breaker. We finally had heat on for the second night. I’ve asked about possibly getting some type of reimbursement due to the living conditions of our first night, but no response. There were multiple mouse traps in the garage, so we were also a bit turned off by those, and there was no WiFi, so we couldn’t use the TVs. Some people in my group had work to do, so we had to tether our own internet from our phones. The basic necessity of ensuring that the heat was working, should have been addressed the first night, especially because we had young children with us.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.. Once the owner has your money they will stop responding to you. Feel free to reach out directly to me and I can show you all the screen shots of no responses as well as pictures of the condition of the house. We were looking forward to a trip in the mountains but knew a storm was coming in so we asked about heat as well as specifically asking about snow shovels to which we never got a response. We also asked about rescheduling or cancelling due to record snow and what would happen if the roads got closed, finally got a voicemail the day before our trip saying they were to remain open and there would be no option other than to forfeit the money, but if we had any questions to call back in a minute before they were leaving the office. After feeling like we had no options we decided to go anyways. We hardly made it up the unplowed street and climbed up the unplowed stairs. Inside we find wires sticking out of the wall where the thermostat should have been, so there was NO heat upstairs and the fireplaces did not work. We called immediately to a 24 hour help line and were told that no one could come out because the road conditions and then hung up on trying to find out options. Having elderly and young kids now stuck in a house with no heat in a snow storm on a street that isnt plowed we decided to drive back home as we did not want to get stuck up there. It wasnt til the next late afternoon they offered a different house after we left already.

This property did not let down. Its in an amazing location, at the end of a road over looking the big bear village. It stands pretty much by itself at the end of a road with the only other property being a rental as well. Since it was empty we pretty much had seclusion for the whole trip. The pictures don't do this place justice. I was so blown away by the size of the house. The garage can hold 4 sedans comfortably and the upstairs living room is massive. It's well stocked with cookware and glass wear for all types of cooking. Pros: Amazing location. big garage great heater hot tub has a nice Mountain View beds were good Master bedroom has LOTS of space Very nice cookware cons There were a few lights out, but nothing major Some cracked tile on a staircase the driveway is not friendly to lowered cars, but any regular height car should be fine. Heater can cook you out if you don't get it properly. I'd say 66 to 68 is the prefect range for cold weekends. If not then it spend so much time getting warm that the whole room gets really hot. (it was 25 degrees on the coldest night when I went) This isn't really a con, just kinda thought I'd mention it, the upstairs heater thermostat was hidden behind a fake tree on the staircase, but we found it after looking for a little bit. All in all this place was amazing and I will definitely stay here again.

the location is great but there are a few things this place needs since the price per night is very high, patio glass doors difficult to lock, only one wine glass, no coffee filters, top oven doesnot work, lots of broken tile at the foot of stairs, railing in outdoor access is rough and peeling, the rec room had one cracked ping pong ball, the table tennis paddels were junk, the pool cues are junk, adjacent to the dining table the wall looked like someone sprayed it with soda, need to be cleaned, the spa was very good, as was the garage space for parking, the house needs some sprucing up, we did have a good time,

Overall the company we had made our trip! The property itself was okay....... I'm guessing because on the outside it looks amazing but on the inside and when actually using the appliances and not to mention the (downstairs beds were very uncomfortable) I really think then yes it would have been worth the money but because we paid a hefty price for 3 nights, needless to say I would not recommend staying here. A bit disappointing!!!!! it sucks that a somewhat nice property is not kept up at all. Too bad! but in the end I know people read reviews. I only wish management would take that in to account!!!! But highly doubt it. So if you do book this property. Just remember, I told you so!!!!
