Beautifully remodeled Victorian Painted Lady with all the modern amenities one could wish for including an amazing tree house and playground any kid would love.
It has a huge living room area, state of the art kitchen with stainless steel appliances: professional grade gas range with built in grill, huge built in refrigerator, built in microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster oven kitchen aid mixer, farmhouse sink, etc.
The master suite has a king size bed, baby crib, walk in closet, spa bathroom, and an LED TV with Roku. Enjoy our spa bathrooms with steam shower/bathtub or the jetted glass Jacuzzi tub with built in radio and therapy lights.
The other two upstairs bedrooms both have queen size beds and one of the bedrooms has a Smart LED TV. The fourth, downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and a queen size blow up mattress in the closet , if needed.
Eat out in many gourmet restaurant, go boutique shopping or for a walk along the Hudson river in the newly rejuvenated down town Troy.
This gorgeous house is conveniently located 5 minutes from down town Troy, 10 minutes from down town Albany, 40 minutes from Saratoga, 2.5 hours from New York City.
Go swimming in many surrounding lakes or hike in the Adirondacks or the Catskill Mountains a short drive away. Endless possibilities for a wonderful vacation!

This house suited our needs for our girls trip. The showers were INCREDIBLE and probably one of the best features of the house (aside from the historic charm!) The decor was a bit confusing and didn't seem to match the beauty of the historic home but that’s no reason to deduct any stars. I will say it would be nice if the host would have more silverware available as there was only about 3 spoons and forks. Additional hand towels would also be nice as there were not enough for each bathroom and kitchen. There should be some instructions on how to operate the oven and stove but after a few texts with the host we were able to get it sorted! The house was clean and spacious. I stayed in the room right at the top of the stairs and it was so cozy!! The beds were all very comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond when I had questions. If you have difficulty with stairs, avoid this house. Both full bathrooms are on the second floor and the staircase is very steep. It was no problem for us, but just a warning for anyone older or unsteady on their feet!

Beautiful house three good sized bedrooms including a very large master. One smaller bedroom. The two full baths are gorgeous with nice showers and great tub in the master. The kitchen is large and full of light and gorgeous. The living is beautiful with a big TV and a piano. Great place to gather. The family loved it.

Very comfortable. Kids really enjoyed treehouse/play area. Well equipped kitchen, just tricky trying to figure out Italian stove/oven. Would definitely stay here again.

This residence made our week of graduation a complete success, with all the comforts of home. It was in a wonderful central neighborhood that felt safe and was close to campus and the grocery store. Our host was available and not at all intrusive, making this a very easy stay.

This house was a great house for us to visit our daughter and son-in-law in Albany. There is lots of room-- more room than we needed for this trip, but will keep it in mind in the future! Very cool house-- all the old house charm but updated with a great new kitchen and bathrooms. Although we didn't get to use it, a great outdoor space with a big table and another space with comfy seating. We enjoyed the Troy waterfront market on Saturday morning and had dinner and breakfast at 2 of the restaurants in town that were really good.

We absolutely loved the Modern Painted Lady, very tastefully remodeled Victorian in Troy. Family trip getting our son moved from HI to start college at RPI. We enjoyed the piano, front porch, huge back deck, amazing shower, TV, colorful decor. Will be back in 4 years for graduation if not sooner. Mahalo Galina!

My wife and I rented the Modern Painted Lady for us and our adult children to stay close to the venue during our daughter's wedding week activities in the area. The house was clean, well furnished, spacious, comfortable and made for a very stress free week. Any questions we had during our stay, were answered very quickly by the owner, which also made us feel comfortable. My wife and other family members especially loved the modern bathrooms and showers. We will definitely look to rent this house again, next time we are heading up to the Troy area for an extended stay.

Loved the house and neighborhood. Backyard and tree house were perfect for two little beasts and our dog :-) Owner was very responsive and accommodating to an early arrival time. I will recommend this property to others! PS - I would love to know the history of the property - would be neat to post it in the foyer!

This was our 2nd time staying at the painted lady. Loved it both times! Large spacious room. Lots of space for family. Beautiful outdoor deck. Large tables inside and out. House has everything you will need. Close to RPI. Thank you for making graduation weekend so easy to enjoy!

We were lucky to stay in Troy for a long weekend so see the city and visit with family. The home is really lovely. Tons of light and space to entertain (some family came over for a pizza party) and we were able to flow easily from kitchen, to dining, to living room. The bedrooms were all well sized and beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms all have great showers - you'll love em. My three year old was delighted by the treehouse and slide built right into the deck. It was awesome to play outside while being at home. The hosts were very responsive. We needed to re-schedule due to COVID and they were generous and friendly to work with us. We would definitely stay again soon.

Galina was a wonderful communicator and the house met my family’s needs perfectly. My siblings and I were in Troy for our mother’s funeral and the home gave us the opportunity to be together comfortably during this time when we needed togetherness. One night was unseasonably warm and we were able to enjoy time on the deck. The beds are all comfortable and the bathrooms are amazing! All appliances are in working condition and the kitchen is well stocked. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The grand old painted lady has been refurbished with modern design elements and a wonderful eye for detail. At every choice, it was obvious Galina made a decision that would make her own family comfortable in the house. Both the master and guest bathroom were out of this world and I think this is the first review I have ever posted that I can say at least the mattress in the master bedroom was phenomenal. The kitchen and sitting areas were well appointed and while we dont bake I can see this kitchen being a bakers dream with the appliances and tools she had. The outdoor space was excellent. Due to lack of employees, some of the local restaurants were not open, but on Galina's advise we had excellent pizza at I love NY pizza, and had great family experiences eating outside at The Ruck and The Tipsy Moose. 25 minute drive to Saratoga Springs and its like two vacations in one. If we ever return to the area we would rent this again in a minute!
