This is the second time our family (16 people) have stayed for a week at this house, and it was just as amazing as we remembered. The pool, the outside living space, the ocean and really good restaurants in walking distance (Ginger, Roberto's, etc.) Frazer is an excellent concierge, he can assist with transportation, tours and activities, as well as day excursions out of the area. He arranged day passes for 6 of our party to Rio Perdido, they were expecting us when we arrived and we had an amazing time! Idalia and Yader are the caretakers and are also wonderful, they can help with meal prep, laundry and any other needs. We did need some A/C assistance and between Frazer and Yader they were quickly able to work through the issues. If we could make this an annual get away we certainly would - I'm sure we'll be back!!

Cannot say enough good things! The property is amazing, the concierge was super helpful, and the on-site people were the kindest and most helpful people I have ever met, they were so responsive and kept everything in perfect condition!

My husband and I along with our 3 adult children, their spouses, 2 adult grandchildren, 3 teenage grandchildren and 12 year old and 9 year old arrived home yesterday from spending a week at Beach house Play Hermosa. We had a wonderful time. The house easily accommodated us all with lots of space to spread out. We were right on the beach but felt private due to a gated fence. We had lots of beach towels by the pool and water boards etc.
Frazer was wonderful! He organized tours for us that went to areas that did not seem at all touristy. One was a river boat/wildlife adventure and another was ziplining plus also surfing/snorkelling. He was very quick to respond to any questions and organize the airport transfers and grocery delivery.
The caretakers on site were wonderful...cleaning rooms daily and even surprising us a few times with home made desserts in the afternoon.
There are several restaurants on the beach and right behind the house.
This place is a real find and we would not hestitate to go back.

Our family loved everything about Beach House Hermosa. The staff was always working hard to clean and anticipate our every need. The houses themselves have tons of space and are very nice and clean. The location cannot be beat: great pool and walk a few feet to the fairly quiet beach. Quick drive to mini markets and about 15 minutes to the bigger Coco. Several very close by beach restaurants that we loved walking to and getting takeout from as well. It was perfect for our family of adults and kids ages 2-7.

Points about the beach house:
-how helpful the caretakers were
-right on the beach with beach accessories available
-plenty of outdoor seating and dining areas
-quiet area but close enough to restaurants

This hands down was everything we hoped for and more! Cannot overstate how good this location is for a group and the access to the amazing beach and sunset was phenomenal. We also booked a boat tour and jet skis with the property manager and both were exceptional. The care takers of this place really care about their job and communicate well and are super attentive offering laundry, helping keep the place tidy, and safe. We are already planning our next trip!

Perfect location. Very spacious. The house concierge, Frazer, was so helpful. And the house staff was great as well.

Our stay at Beach House Hermosa could not have been better! The accommodations were perfect for our group of family ages 14 to 70 +. Frazer provided the most gracious and personalized service we have ever experienced. Evalia and Jared made us feel at home with their quiet, kind and efficient service. What a wonderful stay!

It’s hard to summarize how amazing our stay was. The house is perfect for a large group with plenty of generous sized bedrooms (with super comfortable beds!!) and bathrooms. Two kitchens were well stocked with everything we needed to cook and the pool had all kinds of toys for the kids. The outdoor dining area was tranquil and well cared for with a perfect view of the water. We were blown away by the beauty of our “front yard” and spent most nights watching the magical sunsets.
The concierge Frazer was incredible. We held a small wedding and he did everything from finding a great photographer to organizing chefs for multiple meals. He picked up groceries, put together excursions for us that we’re perfect for different ages and even joined us to give a tour of the area. It’s hard to sum up how much he made our week there special, removing any worry. Edalia and her husband were caretakers on the property and kept it immaculate, taking care of laundry and dishes, and even cleaning the rooms every day, which I did not expect. She cooked us treats, too! Every morning when we awoke the house was back to perfection.
I can’t recommend this property enough. We’d go every year if we could.

Amazing stay with incredible beach views. Highly ecommend with no reservations, other than the actual reservation :)

Our stay started off right because Frazer is an excellent concierge/property manager/trip planner. He worked with me to secure a rental van which was perfect for the entirety of the stay. He also helped us organize activities that were a big hit with our group. (Do the Don Bosco sail boat with BBQ beach lunch if you can)
Next, the property is fantastic, two big villa style homes with more than enough room for 12+ people. 2 equipped kitchens, and 2 big outdoor sitting areas. We had a chef come 2 of the nights and there is lots of room to sit and hang out. The restaurant right next door is also excellent.
You can communicate with the caretakers via google translate and we loved interacting with their family, they are sweet and gracious people who live right onsite and checked on us at the end of each day. They also helped us prepare breakfast one of the mornings and did an amazing spread. My wife and mother in law loved the "right on the beach" location and even paid to get a massage from one of the passer by vendors ($30 for an hour!).
Hermosa beach is a hidden gem that feels way more "local" than Coco. If you are deciding between the two most definitely rent this property and visit Coco (its 12 minutes away by car). Coco has great food and shopping options, but we far prefered Hermosa.
Do not hesitate to rent here!

We loved Playa Hermosa, convenient from the airport, convenient to Playa del Coco for groceries and essentials but most importantly a wonderful beach and vacation atmosphere within Playa Hermosa. The house was clean, well kept and very nice. The outdoor living spaces are so well appointed and perfect for the climate and area. Great for families, our group had a wonderful stay.

There were 12 adults and 4 children in our party, the house and amenities were perfect! Rocio catered 3 meals for us and it was amazing. The caretakers were wonderful about keeping everything tidy and Idalia helped us with 3 meals as well. Frazer made transportation arrangements and helped us find a Doctor when needed. The trip was absolutely perfect and everyone agrees - it was our best family vacation yet!! We hope to come back again.

This house is perfect for large groups!
I held a Health Retreat here and it was great because there was enough space to do yoga together, right on the beach so those who prefer the ocean can relax there, and lots of space around the pool. The large outdoor tables were great for dining together.
The house & rooms were clean and the onsite care-takers were awesome at daily clean up and making sure everything was running smoothly (and doing laundry when we needed it).
Walking distance to a few restaurants and shops and only a 10-15 min drive to Playa Coco.
A great spot for a relaxing (or active) vacation in Playa Hermosa.

We brought our entire family of 15 to Beach House Hermosa for our 70th birthdays. The property could not be more perfect for gathering as a family.
We have stayed in Tamarindo on the beach but Hermosa is far more intimate and accessible. The house is on the beach with an amazing view. The restaurants within walking distance are incredible!
Everything about this property is wonderful! The manager (Holly) is quick to respond to questions. The concierge (Frazer) was professional and very patient as I navigated plans for 15! The sweet couple that are caretakers were like cleaning ninjas! They were up before us to prepare the pool area and cleaned while we were away. We left feeling that we had been loved and pampered in an incredible venue!
One note of caution…let Frazer do your planning. Our group decided on a whim to go on a personal watercraft tour with a group in front of our beach…the “tour” was overpriced and cut short by an hour due ti equipment failure. There were no refunds

This is a beautiful rental, located right on the beach! My family enjoyed several walks along the shore, as well as swimming in the ocean right in front of the house. The ocean water was so warm, it was wonderful!
The swimming pool was also very popular, and great for folks traveling with children. There is a small protected area for smaller children, and the main portion of the pool did not seem any deeper than 5 feet.
The architecture of the home is amazing. We couldn't help but take note for our own home renovations LOL
The hosts were amazingly nice! They offered laundry services, as well as optional meal service. Almost every day, they offered us some yummy local treats they prepared themselves.
We had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this location!

My wife and I and our 6 adult kids/in-laws had a terrific time at this property. Playa Hermosa is a quiet spot with several on-the-beach restaurants just down the beach from the property, as well as a few others also just a short walk away. The property had more than enough room for the eight of us (and the need for some of us to get some remote working done), and was equipped very well for breakfast, lunch and a couple of fun at-home dinners. The on-sight property care-takers were absolutely terrific and keep thing tidy and clean. The layout of the two casitas with the pool couldn’t have been better and gave us a premium view of the incredible Costa Rica sunsets…magical. Access to Palo Verde, Coca Beach, Tamarindo, Diamanté Eco Park, Father Rooster and several other activities/sights is great. Can’t wait to return to this special place!!!!!!

We stayed at this beautiful property for one week on vacation with three families - 6 adults and 8 children, ages 4 through 12. Our vacation was perfect in every way, from the information and arrangements we received prior to the trip, to the minute we arrived to the house from the airport, and throughout the entire week. The property manager and staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We immediately felt at home. Everything was clean and well kept. The house had the perfect set-up for our three families, and we would have been just as comfortable with a fourth family who were meant to be on the trip with us. The bedrooms were great, the kitchens had everything we needed, our kids had space to run around, relax, and play, and we enjoyed the open air setup of the kitchen and living room with views to the beach and amazing sunset every day. There is also a great outdoor layout with lots of places for lounging and hanging, without being too far away from each other. Eating dinner outside and watching the sunset was delightful. The pool was great for full-day enjoyment with in between walks to the beach and local restaurants, and we enjoyed a few day or half-day excursions to surrounding areas, which were coordinated and arranged ahead of time. One comment is that more beach towels would be nice so they are available when others are washing. Our group said multiple times we would book this rental again in a heartbeat. We hope to visit again soon. Pura Vida!

We were a group of couples celebrating 5 women's 50th Birthday. It was a perfect place for us. We enjoyed having two houses with two kitchen's and yet al together. The sweet family that take care of the property made a birthday cake for us. We all loved our stay and want to go back again.

It was so much fun to stay directly on the beach where we could walk out of our yard and rent jet skis, have massage on the beach, and buy fresh fish to cook at the house.

This was my first time staying in Costa Rica. Originally I was going by myself but ended up having three friends join me. The house itself is WONDERFUL!! I have zero complaints about location, the property, the views, and more. I was there celebrating my 40th birthday and wanted to disconnect. It really was a trip of a lifetime but I wish there was a little more transparency in the description about the lack of privacy.
Be warned there is ZERO privacy. Also, I would not use the concierge service that comes with the house.
You can find anything you need by just exiting the gate. The massages right outside the property are the best massages I have ever had at over half the cost of the ones that the concierge set up. Within a two or three minute walk you can find someone who has a fishing boat and all the other things. The local store has a lot of items but you can do shopping in Liberia.
I too manage a few vacation rentals and the one thing I know is that people really enjoy having the house to themselves and privacy. The couple that lives on the property are always around. Not to mention that they were also working on construction projects; painting, fixing fence, working on the terrace, while we were there. The house feels like it is empty enough to do the projects while guests aren't staying there. Also, we broke a glass while we were there and I got a WhatsApp message the next day with a picture of the broken glass. As a vacation rental owner and manager one broken glass isn't the end of the world and I shouldn't be "reprimanded" about it while I am on my vacation. I also took the keys with me while I was out and then received a message asking if I had the keys. This was after I was told that I must lock everything or I am responsible for anything that is stolen. I don't know how I was supposed to lock the house and leave the keys in the door?? Made no sense. They also come and take all the pillows and lock the gate and etc at dark. It feels like they are locking you in and closing it down for the night.
The house sleeps 18 and I rented the entire space. Immediately when I got there I was told to not use any of the other rooms and asked if we were going to use only one of the houses. I found this a little irritating because I paid the same as everyone else. Not that I intended on using all the bedrooms BUT I paid for all of them.
We really LOVED the place. It may not sound like it but it put a damper on relaxing with strangers around.

Our family stayed In Playa Hermosa for 2 weeks from Christmas Eve, and a week past New Year’s. It was ideal in every way: right on the inviting swimming bay, and privately situated adjacent behind old growth trees, and a white picket fence. Another plus was the short walk to two delicious restaurantes! The house was spacious, and tastefully decorated and provided all the modern conveniences (cable tv in all the rooms). It accommodated all 13 of us with ease (even a bunk bed room for our 3 grandsons). The bedrooms had AC, and the beds and fresh linens were very comfortable. Frazier, our always available concierge rented us a golf cart and a small SUV so we could shop and sight see. He arranged food deliveries for us, in advance, so the 2 kitchens were stocked upon our arrival. Extremely helpful. He also set up 2 delicious catered dinners, a trip to the Arenal Volcano the Hot Springs, and the Zoo.Our property managing family was a delight. Osmar cleaned the grounds and handled maintenance, and his wife, Juana, cleaned every day. Beds were made and the kitchens tidied.Their 3 children were delightful. It was such a pleasure to share the beach with the local Costa Rican’s. The air was filled with music and picnicking chatter and laughter,We even had our own resident iguana in the front yard tree. Quite the topic of conversation for all of us.We hope to return again, as soon as possible!PURA VIDA!!!BL and C Bender (Hermosa Beach, CA, USA)

The Playa Hermosa Beach House was just a perfect place for our family Spring Break. It is well appointed and steps away from the beach and the ocean. It has a fantastic caretaker that kept the property spotless and helped us with anything. The management company was easy to deal with and helpful planning excursions. Would love to stay again.
