Communication with the owner was excellent. Unfortunately, the home needs a lot of updating, especially the electrical outlets. The home was clean on the surface, but could use a deep cleaning. Some appliaces are broken and need repair or replacement. Both bathrooms are outdated and worn. The outside needs ground maintenance.
The hot tub was nice and clean. The kitchen dining table was very nice and we spent a lot of our time there.

Super easy check in and check out. Very close to Monterey which is where the festival was for us. Peaceful location and beautiful views all around. Loved it would like to stay again.

This house was perfect to give each person in our group their own space for a short trip. Well appointed, clean, and had a great view. Parking more than 2 vehicles would be a challenge.

I have stayed at many Vrbo homes over the years. My stay at your fantastic home in Seaside ranks at the top of the list in comparison.
Your beautiful home was very inviting from the minute I walked in. The beds are extremely comfortable, the abundance of kitchen and bath accessories fulfills every need, the artistically pleasing decor is a delight to the visual senses, and the wireless light switches provide a surprising and brilliant convenience.
I am leaving totally refreshed knowing that I have a refuge to return to whenever I need one.
I give the whole experience 10 stars. Thank you.

The owner, Susan is very pleasant and responsive. However, I would not stay at this property again. I’ve rented a lot of houses
and this was the worse. I’ll leave the remainder of my comments completely objective, so others can make a decision and decide whether to rent.
- The master bedroom smelled like animal urine.
- The listing sites the property has satellite/cable TV, but it doesn’t. It only gets local TV channels.
- Was unable to use the outside grill bc the grates were extremely dirty. The one with propane had mold on the grates.
- The house was not clean. Hair in the dishwasher and counters, old food under the bed.
- Ants in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We got ants in our luggage as a result.
- The hot tub water was green. Was told this was bc it was recently serviced (shocked) but didn’t seem right to us for it to still be green, so couldn’t use it.
Based on the price I paid I was expecting a better experience.

Group of 6 stayed for an event at Laguna Seca. Everything worked and location was great. Very quiet spot.
Extra bonus was the presence of a pack of Weiner dogs next door as I am a Dachshund lover.

The host is amazing and very accommodating! Staying in Susan's home was such a pleasure. My husband, daughter, grandson, and I had a wonderful time visiting. Our grandson stationed at Presidio was granted a leave to stay with us for the long Labor Day weekend. I placed an order at the grocery store with all his favorite foods, and we picked him up for breakfast Friday and picked up order at Safeway on way to Susan's place. There were more than enough dishes, pans, silverware, etc. You will lack for nothing. The grill worked great for the steaks, and the hot tub was clean and clear. There are more than enough towels and the furniture is comfortable. This home is roomy and the views are lovely. I cannot express enough what a delight it was to stay here. Thank you so much Susan.

The property is as described. The 2nd bed in the 2 bedrooms was a plus. We only used one of them. We had nine people and there was space for everyone. We appreciated having the washer and dryer and the little extras in the cupboards(spices, cooking spray, etc.)that we didn’t think of bringing with us. Communication with Susan was A+. She was willing to answer all my questions before and during our stay. Very quick response from her. The sunsets from the front porch were spectacular. Convenient location, short drive to all we wanted to do and see in the area.

Great home and location for family gathering! During our stay we visited the Aquarium, beach, and boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Aquarium and beach were less than 20 minute drive and the boardwalk in Santa Cruz approx. 50 minutes. Host is awesome!

GPS took us directly to the property. Nice having laundry on the property after hiking for 6 days. Kitchen is large enough for multiple people to work; dishwasher has to be rolled in and connected to sink, which we had never done, so we hand washed everything. Lots of hot water for 9 ppl to shower back to back. Beds are comfortable- especially adding the memory foam topper to the sleeper sofa. Kids loved the hot tub. Plethora of seating options for lounging. Bedrooms are a little cramped so multiple pieces of luggage are difficult to arrange. Overall we were happy staying in this cottage while visiting Monterey.

Easy to find, great location, easy check in and out, great area, very comfortable house and the hot tub was great before and after work and golf. Susan was great with communication and made sure we were all good and had everything we needed. would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed staying here! The property was clean, quiet, spectacular views, and easy to get to. The property manager was responsive, helpful, and accommodating to a few of our weather driven check in challenges.

An economical option compared to houses closer to the beach. Nonetheless access to Monterey State Beach, excellent, is straight down the hill. Many other attractions at an easy driving distance, but not just a walk across the road behind the house, as might be inferred from the advertisement. The house is easy to find, with a big illuminated street number, and there is room to park 3 cars, 2 in the driveway and one on street. The garden in front is well cared for and the house is clean. We grandparents took one room, and our grown children with their spouses and our grandchildren took the other two rooms. The kitchen is large and had all the accessories, like coffee grinder/maker, corkscrew, etc. etc. and a nice big refrigerator. The dining room table was very nice, high with stools, easily seats 8. We also enjoyed the outside table that caught the morning sun, outside by the hot tub, and we did enjoy the hot tub in the evening. The front deck chairs have a great view out over the bay and the city.
A couple of gripes, the kitchen cabinets were built for someone 7 feet tall. My wife couldn't reach anything! There were only 4 spoons in the cutlery drawer, but an oversupply of forks and knives. The dishwasher was out of order, no problem to wash by hand. Nothing major. You will be amused by the eclectic arrangement of furnishings and artifacts!

Loved it and would stay again.

There was some issues that should be addressed. We noticed the electrical in the house needs updating. Could not use my curling iron or blow dryer in the 1st bed/bath, had to get ready in the bedroom. Sometimes the light switch next to the refrigerator would work, sometimes not. The bed was too soft in the first bedroom and were slanted downward with our heads. The 3rd bed was really springy, could use some new mattresses.

We enjoyed our stay at this home. It had a very homey feel and was located in an eclectic neighborhood just a short drive to Monterey. Interesting decor with plenty of individual seating areas....we counted approximately 53 chairs throughout the property. Hot tub was great even in July.

We stayed at Susan's property and it was the perfect location! We were so close to the aquarium and Pebble Beach. We also spent a day exploring Big Sur and Santa Cruiz. The property was exactly as advertised/pictured. Susan was quick to respond by text to answer all of our questions and assure our stay was going well. We LOVED the hot tub! (maybe bring 2 swim suits because the suits worn in the ocean can't be worn in the hot tub- which wasn't a big deal but I maybe would have packed extra suits for everyone). We found everything we needed at Susan's property with a great central location to all the coast has to offer! We would definitely stay again.

Susan was really responsive and helpful. She replaced the grill right away that wasn’t working. The pictures mostly represent the property accurately as she states. At times it can feel a bit crowded because there is a lot of furniture in the house. Everything was clean and the location was pretty accesible and convenient. I do agree with another reviewer that the water pressure was low in the showers, but they still worked fine. The dishwasher is not really accurately described. It is on wheels, and needs to be wheeled over to the sink and connected to the water for every use. Overall, it was a pretty comfortable stay!

PROS
Great location
Property owner was quick to respond
Plenty of beds

CONS
A few of the beds were very high off the ground. Very hard for my mother in law to climb onto.
House is very cluttered. Would not recommend for people who have small children.
Water pressure is low in the showers.
Overall house needs to be updated.
4.5
Good space - 3 big bedrooms, a big kitchen, good sized living room, outdoor, space. Good central location as well.
4.5
Dishwasher not working.
Too many clutters and personal stuffs in the house
Not enough paper towels, toilet papers provided for our length of stay
Low pressure of shower

I’ll start off saying there’s a lot of room for improvement with this vrbo and I would not stay again.
Things are much older than expected and the house is packed. I’d say it has 75% more things in it than it should, sometimes less is more.
The advertised a garage space was packed with items and not usable.
Also the hot tub turned green after 1 day and the host recommended to use bleach to fix it.
Avoid this house if you can.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. Susan is an excellent host; everything was well organized, her communication and rapid responsiveness prior to and during the stay was much appreciated. The location is convenient for Monterey, the 17-mile drive, Carmel, and the Laguna Seca racetrack. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

Wish we could just be here for vacation but we are essential workers. Spacious. I like a tub and my partner likes a walk in shower and there was both. Comfy beds.Sunny deck out front with ocean views. Private patio in the back with great hot tub. We've stayed at the hosts other property and have never been disappointed. Two dining areas and a granite counter to sit at to talk to whomever is cooking. Bonus was: Flat screen TV's in 3 rooms and Roku. This town is so quiet and so close to the beach . Lots of trails and beautiful coastline of the Monterey bay

2nd time here for essential business but always enjoy the views, hot tub, huge granite kitchen. Very well organized with many amenities including a high end air fryer microwave. (We like to cook.) fabulous walking trails behind the house. Outdoor fireplace. We bought wood fr safeway. Empty closets with plenty of room for our suitcases. Clutter-free home with extra room in the kitchen for storing our food.

Susan is something of a hoarder! This is her house, part of the time. It was quite cluttered! Minimal access to most closets!
