Paradies pur am Douro

Das war Paradies pur! Die ruhige Lage in den Weinbergen, der wunderschöne Garten mit Pool und die bequemen Zimmer. Die Anfahrt ist zwar etwas abenteuerlich, aber das haben wir schnell vergessen. Cristiano und Maria verwöhnen ihre Gäste so richtig. Das fängt mit dem leckeren Frühstück an und geht nachmittags mit den Getränken und Snacks (beides inklusive) weiter. Abends gibt es ein hervorragendes 3-Gang-Menü mit einem umfangreichen Gruß aus der Küche. Alles wird liebevoll zubereitet und serviert. Die Weine aus der Winzergenossenschaft des Ortes sind auch hervorragend. Die Zimmer sind sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. Das Bett war super bequem.

Stunning views exceptional service beautiful preppy

Our favourite place of our entire Portugal trip. Not only is the location stunning, the hosts’ attention to detail and classy service have you feeling totally pampered. Highly recommend.

Tip: arrive during the daylight as the narrow road up can be confusing the first time.

One of my best travel experiences ever.

Every detail of this property is perfect. So many small details that you don’t usually find. The room was immaculate, the view stunning, and the food exceeded all expectations.

Fantastic!!!!

If I could, I'd give it 1000 stars! The details, the cordiality and attention to customer, everything impeccably clean, the amazing view, the spectacular breakfast, the charm of the decor. We were warmly welcomed on arrival with tea and delicious biscuits! In the evening we booked dinner which was magnificent!!! The room has details that make it very cosy and comfortable! The bed is super comfortable! It was my husband's birthday and we were surprised with a delicious Brownie Cake with congratulations! They really are special and deserve all the stars! The little mascot "Becas" makes everything even more special! Thank you, we'll definitely be back!

Zdecydowanie przewyższył oczekiwania

Piękny, przytulny, kameralny hotel. Wspaniale urządzony, z niesamowitym widokiem z okna, nie chce się stamtąd wychodzić! Pyszne jedzenie, doskonałe śniadania i możliwość zamówienia innych posiłków. Ale przede wszystkim cudowna obsługa,która sprawia,że czujesz się jak w domu, albo i lepiej :) polecam całym sercem, najlepszy hotel, w którym byliśmy.

The Perfect Stay!

I cannot speak highly enough about this accommodation. Cristiano and staff are very friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Housekeeping is excellent with expert attention to detail that includes flowers, fruit, port, pool basket and hat. The presentation and preparation of breakfast is to be commended. It was great to come back to the Quinta after a day of touring to a beautiful pool with an incredible view, comfortable and well appointed suite, also with a beautiful view, and a delicious four course meal. Everything is thoughtfully considered right down to the beautiful table wear, decor and the homemade cake and snacks available during the day. Our four night stay in early September this year was the perfect choice for our time in the Douro. Hands down 10/10.

Absolutely perfect, can't recommend enough!

This was truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and we are already hoping to get back. We immediately felt at home there and the room was gorgeous. Views were second to none, even in the rain! We had dinner in the hotel which was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious, very reasonably priced with a local bottle of wine too. Breakfast was absolutely perfect and we were given a huge list of things to choose from the night before.

If you have the opportunity to stay here - don't pass it up.

This is an absolutely magical place. If you are looking to be pampered and relax, this is the place. Everything was exceptional: the setting, view, staff, food, and attention to detail. My husband needs to eat gluten-free and they accommodated his needs without exception. The fresh vegetables and fruit from their own gardens were delicious, as were the breakfasts (included) and dinners. They even made us snacks and drinks whenever we requested. We can't say enough about this hotel. If you are lucky enough to land a reservation here - do not pass it up!

Um dos locais do douro onde a ação humana se faz sentir em perfeita harmonia pela extensa e rica flora, é a quinta do bosque com vista privilegiada sobre o rio Douro, emerge este espaço floral, um paraíso de portas abertas. A conjugação da natureza, das espécies florais, da arquitetura do edifício, da hospitalidade, do cuidado, da atenção, do rigor e da simpatia com que fomos recebidos criam um panorama diferenciado e ideal para que fosse possível passar um dia em total harmonia com a envolvente paisagística. Não tinha como pedir mais, o destino encarregou-se de me presentear com esta iguaria da natureza. E que degustação!!! Todo o serviço, desde a chegada até à partida, foi memorável!!! O serviço de pequeno almoço e jantar foi magnifico. A louça, as cores, a forma e o rigor do serviço deixam-nos querer ficar!!!!

No words can explain!

We loved everything, this is the best place we have ever stayed. Fantastic service, and view. Everything has been thought of so that you can relax as much as possible. I must also mention the food, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We can't wait to go back.

Unfortunately, we only stayed here for two nights, we didn't want to leave.

Little piece of heaven on earth

Oftentimes if it seems too good to be true, it is. Cristiano’s place however is the exception to the rule! It was amazing from start to finish! Small details like being offered a drink during the checkin process and incredible hospitality by Cristiano and his team all day long. Amazing view, clean pool, pristine garden with comfortable lounge furniture. Clean and very comfortable room with great airconditioning and bed. Nice shower. Included breakfast customizable to your wishes that you can submit everyday, a nice daily offer for dinner (well priced and absolutely delicious). A nice port wine is included in your room. A balcony with a view. It just doesn’t end, it’s gorgeous, it’s great and if you’re in any doubt: don’t be! If you have the opportunity to visit this place please go and we promise you won’t be disappointed one second of your stay.

This boutique hotel is a gem! Cristian, the Maria’s and the rest of the team exceeded our needs. Our 4 night stay one of the best we have ever had! The view is breathtaking. So much choice for breakfast and the presentation was impeccable. When visiting the Douro Valley this is a must stay.
