The check in staff was very friendly and the rooms are not bad, but unfortunately we woke up the next morning to a dead roach that had been in the sheets.

The hotel was undergoing renovations. Our first room had a TV that wouldn't work. They gave us another room which had a TV that worked a little better. The coffee pot had no basket for the coffee to go into and there were no coffee supplies. We were given supplies but never got the basket so it was if no use. There wasn't even coffee at reception. In all the moving between rooms we somehow lost a pillow which we discovered when we got home. The phone number at the front desk only worked intermittently. When I finally reached the desk after calling for 1.5 days, the person answering said that yes, they had our pillow. Family members were still in the area and went to get it but no one, including the manager, could find it. I tried calling again for another day and never got through.

Although affected by Hurricane Beryl, the property is close to the beach and the pool was awesome! Staff super friendly and helpful!

I had a confirmation of my stay the cancelled it. They gave me till1 pm to call them back and confirmed my stay i was calling since 12:24 pm they never answered the just cancelled my stay and gave to some one else. Very unprofessional

The property is under construction but it’s okay

This place is literally the definition of you get what you paid for, within 5 minutes of being there i wanted to leave the place stank like wet carpet, fridge and microwave were rusty and covered in mildew didnt use the tv cracked and barely had a few channels that worked. Not to mention the construction crew literally out my door most of Saturday day and night working on dry wall no decency to keep a path without mess to get into the room. I wouldn't recommend this place to even the Devil himself. Last but not to least the roaches run this place they need to give it the title the life size Roach Motel

I was in Galveston from Corpus Christi to participate in a cystic fibrosis surf camp for children. Your site did not have alot of bad reviews and i booked it as I would be at the camp from 8am-5pm then a celebration dinner with the families till 6:30pm is.In some spare time looked at google reviews. Stories of moldy rooms and bedbugs were everywhere.I contacted your live chat at 7:30am, as a non refundable room I knew it would be hard but I wanted it to be known I wanted a refund and that your site isn't matching with other reviews. I was told to call the actual hotel after 9 am to see if I could cancel. the woman was rude and assured me there are no bed bugs, and as I had to attend the camp I just said I'll check it out I am just sleeping, and hitting the road early. Upon arrival, the pool had. visbile hard lock and chain on it, there were only three cars in the parking lot of a bustle summer Galvston crown a block away from the seawall. i saw several homeless people sleeping in the parking lot and roaming around. The door to the office was locked, i'd lock it too if i had that homeless problem. The woman at the counter let me in was very nice, and I told her about my concern. Every pilar of the building is under construction so she waved the deposit as she said crews get thee at 7am and make a bit of noise. I just said thank you and wanted to see the room for myself. After getting asked for money by one of the homeless I opened the door ... contact me for the horribleness!

I stayed at this hotel when it was owned by other people. Now that it is in new hands, the property has deteriorated. The rooms had a strange smell, the AC worked, but didnt take out the humidity, and even the refrigerator had condensation on it. The first room had flies in it, so they gave us another one. The TV wasnt working. The pool was locked up so we couldnt use that. The hotel is in a great location, but the quality isnt there anymore.

The first room we had was very dirty but supposedly had been cleaned. The toilet was clogged and the toilet had backed up into the tub. The sheets were dirty and stained. I couldn’t believe they would actually put someone in this room,

The staff is very friendly, it is an old property so dont expect too much.

Please clean the room whether you ask them (maintenance ) to do it or not.

When we got there the key didn't work. They tried to double the price moved my room. Found a used needle in the room. Other than those issues it was a good stay for a night

Recently, this hotel just rebranded as a Motel 6..we took a quick trip to Galveston to get some beach time over the long weekend. Property is in various states of refurbishment..our room was okay, but a bit dated…but bed was comfortable. For the price, this was convenient, and familiar. What impacted an average rating boosted up to ‘good’ was the staff! We ended up having to evacuate due to Hurricane Beryl and staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful since our visit was cut short. Helped coordinate with Expedia to cancel and refund quickly.

A pleasant stay, the room was clean, the linen was clean, some minor issues with paint etc, check-in staff were friendly, Amber went out of her way to make us welcome. I will be back. Not the St Louis, but not $500 a night either.

There was more than one thing I did not like. It was the worse experience I ever had. I will never go back to that location. EVER. This hotel should not be on Expedia. I would love to have a representative from Expedia to contact me They are false advertising on your app. I plan on calling corporate on them as well.

One night stay, and it was a rough one night. The smell in both rooms was musty and mildewy. We made it work as we were leaving for cruise next morning. I used an entire can of Lysol between our two rooms in an attempt to sanitize and fight the smell. Staff was super friendly so that was a positive. Place needs a serious makeover.

The pictures online did not match what the room really looked like at all. It was not as nice as the online pictures showed it to be.

I liked the people who worked the front desk very nice polite and professional!!! The main negative was other guests fighting at 2:00am the toilet was stopped up and my children found a couple of pills on the carpet upon checking in. This was my third visit to this hotel and I used to recommend it but after this time I’m not sure
