Lucky, at front desk was very nice and helpful.

Room was dirty. Huge stain on carpet. We weren't given enough towels for 2 guests. Super noisy! Light comes through the bottom of the door when you're trying to sleep. I think thwy may be using this hotel as a haven for immigrants.

The room had an odor and the carpet had many stains.

Had to ask for hot water for shower & hair dryer. No kleenex available, only one wash cloth. I hate to think that all LaQuintas are managed like this. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and apologetic.

There is a cattleman’s next door. Loves that. But! There are a lot of homeless trolling the parking lot. I was able to park my truck outside of my window so that was good. Bed comfy. Tv worked. The lady at breakfast had an attitude and the breakfast left. alot to be desired. Coffee terrible. But! I didn’t care as long as I could see the truck and u didn’t get my rig broken into

It was clean , but the elevator smelled like throw up all 3 days we were there the hallways smelled like someone was smoking and the Internet was lousy to non exsistant

The rooms were absolutely filthy. Carpet was stained from pet poop and urine. Rooms smelled like animals. Bedding and furniture in rooms were dirty. Some lights in room didn't work properly. Some of the staff were unfriendly. The only positive experience was the free breakfast. It was really good and we really enjoyed it.

Rooms are very dirty and beat up. Bed was awful. Shower had mold. Hallways smelled like cigarettes, marijuana and dog feces. External doors from hallway were broken. Main elevator was broken. Spend twenty bucks more and stay next door.

Room and hallway could have used a good vacuum cleaning. Heater/air conditioning unit and other surfaces a cleaning also. Elevator broken. At least the bedding was clean and bathroom was ok. Receptionist was also nice.

Although the room was clean and spacious, the mattresses in the lower level floor are old and sunk in the middle, giving you the feeling you are sleeping in a hammock. This was not only the case in my room, but as I could also see in other rooms that were open.

The price was great. The breakfast was good, and it was the main reason i picked the place.
We got 2 beds. One of them was oversized mattress and had a spot where your body just sunk in.
Oh and no hot shower after 8a.m.. So if you need to take a shower, do it before 8a.m. or do it night before.
The carpets def needs like deep cleaning. The whole place needs a deep cleaning actually.

The carpet had two big dirty spots. It was kind of gross to look at.

The hotel had water damage, the toilet ran, the sink got clogged and drained very slowly. The breakfast was O.K. and the people were very nice. Although the building needed some maintenance, it was clean and I did not feel unsafe.

2 stars bcs the staff was nice.
No worse than anything else on Hilltop drive, but the entire block - once the "nice" part of town - has just become a homeless encampment, and apparently they occasionally they pool their *benefits and vacation here.
"Smoke free" building but the entire complex smells like weed. Woke up at night to the smell of burning plastic, at first I thought there was an electrical fire then realized it was just my neighbors smoking meth on the balcony next to my Air Conditioning unit.
Night 2 we got to listen to what could only be described as a "transaction" from the same room complete with a headboard followed by crying in the bathroom followed by more burning plastic followed by more headboard.
Latch on the front door was broke off. Lock on the rear door to the balcony was broke off, but I did find a prop rod while I was wedging the ironing board behind the slider. Thanks La Quinta.
Ice machine on our floor was always empty. I don't know if ice is an "ingredient" to something homeless addicts use but its apparently a commodity there. Vending machines took 5 tries ... and something tells me there will be 5 service fees on my CC.
I don't not recommend this hotel. If you could pick it up and put it down somewhere else it would be workable if you were trying to save money and were ok with an uncomfortable bed, dirty grout, only 2x towels, no room service, a broken coffee machine and sub-parr accommodations. I just don't recommend Redding.

It was a dated hotel. I expected more as I have stayed at La Quinta inns in other areas that were much better.

Staff was very friendly. Room was good and clean. The mattress was broken down but not completely uncomfortable. There was no hot water first thing in the morning. It did correct later. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain. Staff was very attentive when I let them know. Overall..not so bad.

The tub was not so clean and there was wet carpet

everything was great except for elevator being down at time of check out. also lack of television stations offered at hotel.

The rooms were average but clean. The real problem is the hot water ran out before 7:30 am. I had to take a cold shower.

Don't let the lobby fool you. That part is well maintained. Checked in late but there was no hot water in my room. The front desk clerk was responsive and moved us to another room. She did her best but it was a hassle to move rooms. Also several of the glass doors to the parking lot were boarded up or had no entry keypad so getting back into the building required going half way around the building. Mystery stains on all carpets in the rooms and hallways. Overall the place is in need of a serious overhaul.

We look on Google and find LaQuinta with great reviews so we reserve a room. When we arrive we’re impressed with the lobby, (that is supposed to convey their pride in their hotel right?) and then we proceed to the room. Upon entering the little hallway to go to the elevator we see dirt and grime on the outside of the elevator and the interior. Do they even have a cleaning staff? So we get to the room. Have you ever been unimpressed by something but you feel like you have to pretend for the sake of someone else? That was me. I didn’t say anything, not only to not disappoint him, but also because while the hotel is not very clean, the king size bed in our room was clean and comfy! I just think lamps in the room that could have been acquired next to a dumpster, webs hanging from an end table, and strange looking substances on the walls are not conducive to a truly pleasant stay at a hotel. However, the two desk clerks were very kind and helpful!

The room was, for the most part, clean. The bathroom was also clean. However, the carpet was filthy. Looked like it had never been cleaned. It was awful. The room also need a major refresh.

The location was perfect for our visit to Redding for the Redding Handbell Festival. Plenty of food choices, and the complementary breakfast was quite nice.

We travel to Redding once or twice a month. This is our 3rd time.. I’m not one to complain but unfortunately our last stay has came to this. No hot water, they were out of washcloths, I asked 4 times in a two day span for shower towels. Was told the final day they were washing and none available only to walk down the hall and see a maid with some. An elderly couple a few doors down couldn’t shower either because of no hot water. Our last visit was the same no hot water and the bath tub wouldn’t drain. If this was just a one time thing I wouldn’t give such a bad review but the same issue has happened prior times.

This is an older property . The clerk had to change my room because the first one smelled like cigarette smoke . I noticed the first room also had tattered curtains. I was satisfied with my second room because it was spacious and comfortable. I noticed new tile in the entry way and bathroom . It looks like the hotel is renovating. The breakfast was good. I like waffles and yogurt. I only stayed one night but I will return next year

Overall run down hotel not in the best location - room looked dingy and overall the hotel needs some updating

On the plus side, the location of the hotel was convenient and the bed was comfortable.
The elevator was rickety, dirty and greatly in need of refurbishment. The bathroom was functional but very old.
This property seriously needs remodeling.

The door had looked like it had previously been kicked in. The lock was broken. Very run down.

The carpets need to be redone. There was a compelete lack of clean bedding to the point where they change our room rather than giving us replacements. It was needed in the end anyway the room was full of a menthol smell. There were exposed wires. Outlets missing their outlet covers. The toilet was not clean. The new room was slightly better. I will note since I have to give at least ome star that the star is for the lizard I found in the morning in my room
