Pretty average, place needs some upgrades.

Hotel was lovely! Very clean and comfortable. Indoor hot pool is really nice! Underground parking is helpful during the cold months. Not too far from downtown Banff. Front desk staff weren't very friendly but sufficient for check-in and out.

Fantastic relaxing trip! Love the hot tub and sauna facilities at this hotel!

Long wait for elevators.

Excellent on nearly every front. Two factors less than excellent- reception staff efficient but not as friendly or as informative as they could have been. And real shame only one lift working on last two days there.

I have stayed at this property many times including holding a number of corporate Christmas party weekends over the years. This will be my last time staying at this property. The property is old and is in serious need of an update. The furniture is beat up, the TV is a Sharp Aquos for heavens sake. (Remember those from 2005) there is no AC and a lack of maintenance is apparant. The elevator was down once again and the one that was working sounded quite rough. Our room this time was on the 4th floor right in front of the hallway pressurization vent for the Make Up Air Unit. All we could smell was the smoke from the fireplace in the lobby being recycled and the howl from the motor (usually a sign of plugged filters) kept me from sleeping for 2 days. Despite all this (I am usually not one to complain about minor things) I am an Expedia VIP member and this hotel provides you with a $15 food credit per room per day. At check in I was told only that I couldn't use it on the last day. We had supper in the Keg on the second night and charged it to the room. Upon receiving my folio the credit was shown as a line item however not applied. When I asked at the desk for it to be applied I was told I could only use $15 of the 2 night credit as the $15 had to be used on the same calender day. No where including on the Expedia website is this disclosed nor in the hotel. This is very disingenuous, and another example of a bait and switch tactic so prevelant among VIP hotels lately.

Booked a pet friendly room - asked to pay on arrival. No pet facilities set up in room - had to go back and request from same front of house who appeared disinterested. Not allowed to leave pet in room alone even briefly based on policy. Given that no restaurant or bar will allow dogs inside in Banff this is very difficult to do whilst also enjoying a break away. Room extremely noisy due to location and event going on in the conference room until 2230. We had hoped to get an early night but no luck. Avoid rooms near the stairwell or on the lower floors if you are a light sleeper.

Not bad, but unfortunately not that great. The service was great, from the people at the front desk, to room service. Not to sound too picky, but there was chewed gum stuck on the carpet, the door handle on the wardrobe fell off, there was no coffee in the room, there was no conditioner, there were only 3 bath towels, and the room was quite small. It was a superior room, so I wonder what a standard room would look like. The hot tub was really nice, but even with all those issues, I would probably consider staying again for the right price.

The staff were amazing. Rooms comfy. Was a nice walk to the downtown area. Lots of local restaurants to visit.
Had a weird toilet situation - like if you sat on it, it was too close to the counter...we found it funny. Just had to sit with your left arm up.
The only annoyance was the partiers coming back every night at 230 am and we all heard it.

The room upgrade was a great touch, with champagne for a birthday. The staff was very friendly and we had a nice stay.

Close to downtown. Really liked having The Keg attached. Underground parking was a definite plus!

Beautiful hotel. Kind, accomodating staff. the restaurant was so-so, personally thought it was overpriced for the quality. Hottub was very clean and the spa staff were very helpful.

Love this place, it’s clean and the beds were cozy, I slept so well. We visited in mid October and it was rainy and at times snowy and it was nice to open the doors to the balcony and enjoy the crisp air and the sound of the rain. The employees at the front desk were so kind and helpful. We decided on an extra day and I wanted to keep my room and the manager price matched my room to one on a hotel app. They gave me a free daily ticket for the shuttle bus for the three days I was there, not to mention a nice coffee bar everyday in the lobby. There is a wonderful restaurant (the keg) downstairs with the best filet Migñon and salmon around. This place did not disappoint, would stay here again .

Really lovely stay! Rooms are a little dated but very comfortable and have everything you need!
Spa was really good too. Had an excellent massage.
Its about a 15-20 minute walk to the main strip.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk service was friendly, and the room was very clean, exceeding my expectations! It would be perfect if the tissue quality were a bit thicker. The hotel offers free shuttle to the town and Banff Gondola, and there's a bus stop right next door, making it very convenient to get around. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience!

We were given a room on what they called the first floor but it was partly underground. The entire floor reeked of the very strong odor of chlorine. I asked for a change of room and was given another room. My question is: Why were we given a room in the dungeon when there were other rooms available in the upper floors? The gentleman who signed us in needs to be trained in customer service. I was standing by the check-in counter for a few minutes and he did not even acknowledged my presence. When I approached the counter, he said he was not ready to assist me. What? He should have said: Good afternoon, I will be able to assist you shortly. Also, the pillows had a funky smell. There was no air conditioning so we opened the windows. The bathroom was clean though. I will not be staying here again. I will also tell my friends to book elsewhere when in Banff.

Can’t say enough good things about the staff I interacted with…especially those at the front desk!

Full size mattress pad was on a king size bed. Had to call and ask to have the proper size put on so we weren’t sleeping directly on a mattress. The tv didn’t work and there was also no AC. Just a small window that didn’t let in much air at all. Too expensive for what we received.

Good location along bus route and easy walk to downtown. Very comfortable accommodations. Enjoyed the gym, hot pool, and spa services.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great facilities. We only stayed for one short night but this hotel is in a good area with lots of food and shopping choices within a 10 minute walk. I just wish I had more time here so I could have gone in the spa. I went in to have a look and it seemed lovely and warm which I can imagine would be lovely in those cold winter months.

Very spacious and comfortable room, good storage space in room and in bathroom. Great location for public transportation, excursion pickup, or just walking to town center. Only downside was that Wi-Fi in room was very weak.

This hotel was great! The restaurant was yummy, the hot pool was perfect after a long day of hiking and biking. Super close to bus stops but also walkable into the city. Bed and pillows were comfy. No complaints here.

The spa was amazing, had a pedicure and a massage. Those services were great and the hot pool is awesome. With the price of the room you’d imagine they give a discount off spa services but no coupons or anything. Beds were comfy.

We had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to go back!

Not sure if all the rooms are the same but room 465 was terrible. Very dark, old furniture and the worst part was the toilet was so close to the bathroom cabinet that you are practically sitting on top of the cabinet. Also, the lady who helped us check in was not very pleasant. We would not stay here again.

Location is good. Rooms are small and expensive and bathroom smells like sewer and the faucet in the tub is loose and shower head is dirty

Beautiful property! We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for 3 nights, it was a great location and the restaurant for dinner was good. Parking included which was excellent.
The standard double room was a good size, the only downfall was cooling options. It was a warm few days, no a/c and with the window wide open it still didn’t cool down.
Overall, good stay, walking distance (10 mins) to the mains area, we would stay again.

Went the for 1 night with my sisters. Had a great stay. Needed some extra towels and the housekeeping lady I seen in the hallway was so sweet. She went and got what we needed in about 5 mins. Front desk staff were also very informative. Would stay again.

We should bave read the reviews as they are all accurate; NO AC, a little noisy fan is in the room, cant sleep good as the room was hot.
Needing upgrades, old decors, table, chairs and even the tv seems like a 10 year old one.
We will not book here anymore, for that pricy rate should not be- uncomfortable hotel room.
The one thing is true- staff are great!
