This was my second time trying to stay at this hotel for a medical appointment. The first time they would not allow me to check in with my Husband's credit card and I had nothing else and offered cash and they would not help me. This last time which was last night I booked and this time I had my own credit card with me, however, they don't take my type of debit card, so once again I was turned away to find another hotel on a solo trip after my room was already paid for. Needless to say, I will not be booking this hotel ever again in the future.

Decent room in convenient location, but no breakfast offered of any kind. That needs to be changed! Even a continental breakfast is better than nothing!!

Well, they say “You get what you pay for”’and that’s what this stay was. The price was cheapest around but we thought that being a PLUS that things would be better than a typical Red Roof Inn. WOW, were we wrong!!!!! The beds are hard as a rock first of all. Then the bathroom has rust around the tub and walls. Lastly, there were cockroaches in rhe room. NEVER AGAIN will we stay at ANY Red Roof Inn. The cost saving is definitely not worth it!!!!!

We had a spacious room that was spotless and very conducive to rest.

Had to stay here while our family evacuated from a hurricane. This was the only place we could stay that advertised as being pet, friendly and boy do I wish we could have chosen somewhere else. Rooms were disgusting, literally had roaches crawling around at night. Mold on ceilings and holes in walls and ceiling. Horrible smell in rooms and bathrooms were atrocious with rust and black looking film on door and around bathtub. Housekeeping did not come by our room even once during the multiple nights we were there. After the storm passed, we were told by our county officials back home that it was safe to return home, we had storm damage with water intrusion and needed to get back quickly to prevent mold from setting in, we asked if we could receive a partial refund since we ended up needing to checking out one day sooner to get back to our home to begin repairs from the storm. The woman at the front desk was unsympathetic and refused to even look into a partial refund, (which was incredibly upsetting seeing as they price gouged us and charged us double the last night we were there). Would never stay here again!

The front desk staff and the clean staff were amazing and very professional. They all showed great kindness. Especially during the two emergencies they faced. I got stuck in the elevator and they acted quickly and showed calm resolve. They had me out within 20 minutes. Thanks for everything you did for me and my mom

It was a very Pleasurable experience. Although, my room wasn’t ready at the time of check in, the overall experience was not affected. I will DEFINITELY be staying here again in the future. Thank You 😊

The hotel was decent, clean and comfortable. Bed was on the hard side, not my preference, but not bad. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The true shining star here is the staff. We were evacuating from a hurricane and had our three animals. The typical policy is one pet with an extra charge for additional pets. They waived the charge and were very accommodating to all the pet owners in our same situation. Overall, this was an excellent stay.

Great choice--with a pet--to wait out the Hurricane and power outages. My refuge in bad weather which is becoming more regularly occurring in Florida.

This was a hurricane evacuation. Red Roof has been my go-to for such events which are far from rare these days in Florida. I love their free-pet policy. It's a lifesaver.

For the high price paid for this place .... service was like expressway motel no a hotel chain... the rooms did not feel clean and bathroom are beat up, old, and not functional for a family traveling... It needs lots of upgrade ...not to be 4-5 star hotel... but to be consider 1-2 star hotel..

Great location, excellent staff. Hotel had a few items that can be improved. Shower head was not in good condition and water sprayed towards the floor and caused extra work drying.
Tried really hard positioning the curtain to help, but water still ended up on the floor. Iron was old and had sticky left over material that caused issues ironing. Bathroom extractor fan extremely noisy. Pool still with no water a month later after previous stay. Great location, great staff but hotel needs work.

There simply isn’t anything Plus about this property. The pool has been out of commission for weeks, the elevator needs to be serviced, there’s housekeeping service only every four days (which should tell you about the overall cleanliness). Guests staying any length of time must exchange their own dirty towels at the front desk. The coffee machine in our room couldn’t be plugged in anywhere. The mattresses, bedding, and pillows are of incredibly poor quality. There’s a mismatch of light bulb hues with lamps that are barely hanging on the wall, and there’s no breakfast service of any kind. It’s more motel than hotel that clearly relies on overpricing during UF Gator events to stay in business…

We wanted a budget hotel. Red Roof Inn Plus was a great budget hotel. Don't expect it to be perfect at a budget price, but it was very adequate for our two-night stay. The staff was great! We'd definitely stay at this budget hotel again if we're in Gainsville!

My room was paid in full for two days before arrival. I arrived after 5 pm during a storm and the little guy refused to check me in because my credit card for incidentals was my husband's and not my own. I asked if I could pay the deposit with cash and he said no. I asked to speak with a manager and the little guy said no and pointed to a sign. I had to go and find another hotel even though this one was paid for in advance. I had never experienced this before especially since I could pay the deposit in cash.

It's a Red Roof Inn+, so I wasn't expecting the Ritz. That said, the service staff could fit in at a higher end hotel, they were professional and attentive. It was easy to get towels and it was also nice that they had some toiletries available, in case you forgot something.
The facility could use some work, my room was dingy and the lighting made it seem more like a dungeon than a hotel. From the outside the facility looks newer, the rooms on the other hand look like they were last updated during the Reagan administration. The location is great, you are near a lot of places to eat and shop.
It's a hidden gem, an okayish room, in a good location, with a great staff, all for a good price.
