My room was not cleaned. It was disgusting. The TV remote didn’t work and my clothes were stolen.

It was cheap. My room was clean. Staff was friendly. But the inconveniences outweighed all this. You can only enter from the lobby, which means you must drop your luggage off, and park halfway around the unit and return through the lobby. You see, there is nowhere to park temporarily in front of the lobby if you don't have a handicapped sticker. Total of six spaces in front and they are used by staff, or are otherwise always occupied. So you must either park in the middle of the driveway or walk your luggage in from the parking lot several hundred feet away.
Now about the kitchen. It does have a stovetop, microwave and full size refrigerator. That's why I booked my room here. But it doesn't have dishes, bowls, glasses, (except in the bathroom) silverware or Kleenex. I had to go to the store to buy paper plates, glasses, and plastic forks, spoons, knives and Kleenex.
The neighborhood is a little sketchy, not dangerous though. Homeless people in cars park on the road on the way in, usually families. Sad.
That is probably why the other door are not assessable. A torn flyer says you risk a huge fine is you use the doors other than the lobby.
There is a laundry but you need $6 worth of quarters for one wash and dry load. Oh, bring your own soap. The local laundromat cost $4 so I washed here. My daughter loaned me some soap.
I thought about checking out a few times, but it wasn't worth the hassle. The rooms are clean it is much cheaper.

Shower didn’t work properly. Too many noises from other rooms. Exit alarm kept going off. No hair dryer. Unsafe power outlets.

There was trash in the hallways. Food crumbs on the stairs. Kids running everywhere as parents, who obviously live there sat and visited. No exterior door except the main was in use. Elevator not working. Bed was somewhat comfortable and the room had potential, but hubby made the mistake of running a black light -yuk. Our room was right over the front walk and hubby could hear conversations starting at 4 am -so he didn’t get any sleep.
Free -lukewarm coffee….

The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, despite being marked as non-smoking. I reported it to the front desk & they said "oh really?". The entire hallway smelled the same and my room stunk so bad I had to sleep with my face covered. When we left, 6 people were smoking right at the front door. The bathroom was cramped, and the door handle injured my side trying to exit because the door swing almost touches the toilet and the handle isn't a knob it sticks out and really did a number on my side. There's no exhaust fan and my blanket had a cigarette burn hole in the center. Dust covered the entire ceiling hanging down, furniture had pieces hanging off and an outlet had exposed wires. The bed had no nearby outlets, no tissues were provided, and the tub drain stop was broken and had trash inside. The parking lot had excessively high and frequent speed bumps that literally stopped my car. Despite being advertised as having 24-hour front desk service, no one was present at check-in or when I later needed assistance. A random toilet was sitting on the sidewalk. The parking lot was filled with broken down vehicles. This was the most unpleasant hotel experience I've ever had. Everything inside is extremely old/outdated. Avoid this place unless you're a smoker or have no expectations at all of cleanliness or quality. If this place were free, I still wouldn't want to experience that again. Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting. Sleeping in my car would have been better than this.

As soon as I walked into the lobby I was met with a strong smell of pot. The hallway smelled of food the whole time we stayed here. The room was large but there was no shampoo/conditioner or body soap, only bar soap.

They charged me after canceling my booking ! This hotel reached out to me because my payment type changed a few weeks prior to my booking date, I was waiting on new card to arrive when the hotel said i had 24 hours to put new card in or theyd cancel my booking. Totally understandable, but after calling them they told me theyd try to hold it till after my new card came in. When my new card came in and I called to give the information they told me my booking had been canceled. Again totally understand that. But then my booking stayed "active" on the app, i reached out to app support who also confirmed my booking was canceled so color me surprised when Rosewood still charges me for the original booking despite them canceling it and me confirming it canceled two different ways. When I called the hotel (5 times) no one picked up my call. Ive sent an email but am not expecting any support from them based on previous interactions and other reviews:(

As others have noted, it's not a pristine hotel anymore, but it's not terrible. I'd rate it as middle of the road. Here was my experience: the property is located in an area that apparently has a higher-than-normal crime rate, as evidenced by the iron fence around the property, the iron fence around the property next door, the large iron gates for the parking lot area (which didn't actually work anymore), and the large screen facing you behind the front desk showing the entire front desk area, just so you couldn't miss the fact that you were being recorded. As mentioned, the gates to the parking area no longer worked (one was being held up by a large nylon ratchet strap), which made me wonder about the safety of my vehicle overnight. As it turned out, the vehicle was fine the next morning, but it was definitely a concern.
As for the room, it was OK, but it contained a mini kitchen with a refrigerator that was smaller than full size, but larger than the small "dorm" fridges you often find in hotels. That was fine. But what wasn't fine was the noise the thing made all night long. I had ear plugs that I don't mind using while sleeping, but even then I could still faintly hear it. If you don't have earplugs, I hope you're a heavy sleeper. Good luck on that one.
Otherwise the hotel was OK, the staff was friendly, and everything else went OK.

It seemed nice at first but homeless and transients out front. Police showed up. From what I found out this is a regular occurrence. Won’t stay there again:(

The smell of cigarette smoke is overwhelming and made my friend sick who has allergies. Even in our hotel room smelled of smoke. Also there was supposed to be a "grab and go" breakfast and there was none. Just a vending machine.

The water from the tub and shower was brown, I could not shower. Fixtures broken and many things unprepared. Wall sockets hanging off the wall in the hallways, elevator appeared it had not been mopped or cleaned in weeks or months. Handle on the toilet flush fell off when I touched it. The lock on the door ( Latch ) had been broken and half of it was removed.Drapes had holes in them. You would see light shinning thru when they were closed. The kitchen counter was not wiped down ( sticky light jelly on the counters. I would advise anyone who considered this hotel to seriously look for another. I’ve traveled the world and the U.S. as a job. I would rank this as a NEVER to be Considered. Water is a very serious health hazard. This Hotel will be reported to the Health Dept. In addition as my duty to the C.D.C. I will process a necessary report on this establishment.

Check-in was bad. Several patrons and 0ne person to do it all. A patron returned to the desk and said his room was dirty. The employee left the desk to solve the problem and was gone for about 10 to 15 minutes. The folks in the lobby had to wait. Our room was pretty dirty. No carpet....floor was LVP. After walking around our room for a bit, the bottom of our feet were black! Worst of all.....we checked out about 8am and the coffee was "see through" and cold! Not staying here again!

So we booked online , we get there , they have no rooms left after the desk person tells a random walk in “we have no rooms”.. the walk in refuses to take no for an answer so they amazingly find a room .. yeah it was ours … they try to put us in another room that had been inhabited by a renter fur several months , not cleaned , bandaids “ used “ on the floor .. sink backing up .. just awful .no ac . . we demanded a refund .. didn’t do til the next day .. still waiting on Expedia’s refund part .. found another hotel for 100$ more .. awful awful experience and just the worst front door concierge ever .. he should be fired he was that bad .. it was his replacement that told us the room was inhabitable after age looked it up

First room - windows wouldn't lock (bottem floor), floors were sticky. 2nd room, floors were sticky - had to go buy a pair of slippers. Bed was wobbly. Door was hard to close.

The hotel is in a run down area of Portland. Didn't feel safe even though our stay was fine. Hotel is run-down and beds are horrible. I kind of screwed up by trusting the pics online. Didn't have any issues with staff. Parking lot seems unsafe even though they have gates that they don't use.

Hallways were dirty. Room was plain and outdated. Windows didn't close all the way.

Decent, basic place; nice to have a refrigerator.
However, one of our bedframes was shockingly wobbly; every time I got on/off or even moved in bed, the entire bed shook. We questioned if it was going to collapse. The outlet behind my bed was crooked and nonfunctional.
I was excited for the free morning coffee...until realizing it was cold and AWFUL. Not drinkable.

This place is filthy from lobby to rooms, bathroom had a cracked floor and tub, other things in the room broken or missing parts, front desk staff was invisible for long periods of time. Although, I will say when they did show up, they were able to help enough. I had originally booked a couple of nights, and after walking in and realizing what this place was like, I made the decision to try and stay at least one night, but I could not even do that. I left as quickly as I could, still getting charged for one night. I have yet to see my refund for the other two nights.

The hotel is dirty. The woman at the check-in desk was cussing about another customer. There are clearly people living at the hotel- drug paraphernalia everywhere. Floors are stained. The furniture in the room literally looks like a collection of stuff from Goodwill.
Even though I had prepaid for the room- I didn’t even feel safe enough to stay there and immediately got my things back together and left.
I had to pay for another hotel room somewhere else. Absolutely disgusting and traumatic experience.

The front desk seemed to be more interested in their computer than helping me. Both check in and check out were unfriendly and barely acknowledged me.

Our stay here was great in that the staff was wonderful. Sadly, the furniture is pretty beat up and dingey. Amazingly low price but as is often the case, you get what you pay for. We especially liked the kitchenette feature in the rooms. There is a full sized fridge, a kitchen area sink with large counter area for food prep and a microwave.

I wasn't expecting much. The room was actually very nice. Check in was slow, slow, slow. They also charge your credit card a $100 deposit......for nothing. Totally unnecessary. The tub didn't drain, and the kitchen sink had a constant drip that was a bit annoying throughout the night.
