Parking was tricky as the only on-site parking is valet at $60/night. We parked in a city garage a block away.

Nice, spacious room (got the studio).
Window was drafty.
Parking is valet only; best self-service option seems to be the US Bank parking, but I just did valet.
Seems a bit pricey for what you get (maybe that's just me).
Service is friendly and adequate, but there is limited room service, seems to mainly be just breakfast.
Bedside appliances and lamps are a bit dated.

Great location and perfect size, love having a restaurant too!

My daughter and I came to Portland to watch a Portland Thorns game and could not have chosen a better hotel! The location was perfect - it was in walking distance of the stadium, Powell’s Books, shopping, local restaurants, etc. The staff was friendly and made our stay a great one. We will definitely stay here again on any visit to Portland!

Amazing experience- it’s a bit pricey at almost $200 per night (including their $33 amenity fee).
The room was great, staff was super nice and house keeping was thorough. I liked the view, the hot tub and the good sized bathroom. They have a tub as well as a separate shower in the premium king room.
Sheets were spotless, thermostat works and so did the elevator.
The only thing I’m unhappy about is that they charge $75 per night for incidentals, which they are supposed to refund. I stayed for 4 days and they charged me $300 on my international card. I’m not going to get a refund on the currency conversion charges.
Not sure why they need incidental fee of $75 per night instead of per stay.
As a foreign traveller I would avoid this hotel in future for this reason, since I can’t afford to have my forex card blocked while traveling aboard, so am paying unnecessary currency conversion charges to credit card companies just to fulfil this hotel’s unique & unusual demands on incidental charges. It’s not even mentioned on Expedia so I couldn’t change anything either.
And I haven’t yet received the refund, so let’s see how many days I will need to wait. In the meantime I have to pay the credit card bill for the $300 unnecessary charge.

The room service is slow. I reported the bathroom repair since 7 am. Until I checked out, they still haven't come.

Very clean, we felt safe, should have a NORMAL coffeemaker and small microwave in room to reheat coffee (we bring or buy our own for trips over 2 nights). The weird outdated coffee machine in the cabinet proved useless, refrigerator in cabinet put out so much heat it was redundant. Insufficient towel provided upon check-in, so called twice before we received more. No do not disturb signs for door, so maid service had to be requested, then the day before check out when we didn’t need service, they came in and moved all our things. We didn’t need maid service for our whole stay and did not request it for the last day. Waste of resources. Also the elevator malfunctioned when we were there and it was frightening as it came to multiple abrupt jolting stops coming down from the 14th floor. Kid at the desk laughed and shrugged his shoulders. Our AC didn’t work the last day we were there and couldn’t be repaired quickly enough, so the nice repairman Shawn just set it on constant cold because it was really hot outside. Overall it was ok, but we weren’t thrilled. Clean room and comfortable bed is about the only positives. Restaurant plated loud music that was not our taste the first night we arrived and we were tired, so we had to leave and eat across the street. Perhaps turn down the music to a level for everyone’s enjoyment. The valet parking is ridiculously overpriced at 60$ a night, 35-40 should be max. Maybe higher at peak times, but really???
Thank you

Some parts of the room need some TLC. Chair was flaking, wallpaper starting to peel, dirt on the bathroom door. We had window cleaners the last day of our trip. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were the right size and it was a relaxing stay. Enjoyed being able to walk to places easily.

The Dossier is a really nice hotel in downtown Portland. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Valet parking seem to be a little expensive $120 for two nights. But they were very quick to have the car ready for us when we needed it. As with all hotels, these days, they don’t offer daily room cleaning. Because of that or trash in the room overflowed and we ran out of towels At Five Star that’s a little bit disappointing. But all in all, it was a very nice hotel and a very pleasant stay

It was perfect. The room was lovely - comfortable bed, luxurious linens, and quiet. Located within walking distance of many Portland attractions.

The hotel was really clean, the room was nice and spacious, and the staff was super nice. It's also in a great location only a few blocks from Burnside. The only thing that was a nuisance was that there was only one working elevator for 14 floors and it took sometimes five minutes to get an elevator. Otherwise I would definitely stay again!

The check in staff is always welcoming. They are attentive to the fact we're travelling with our dog, will always ask if we need the pet amenity kit. Only downfall is being a VIP member, staying there twice now, no VIP perks were offered or mentioned. Other than that, amazing hotel!

I came to the Dossier after a mishap at another hotel, and wow it's lovely. The rooms don't match the vibe of the lobby, but they're big and comfortable - with an amazing bathroom. Only complaint was that my ac was off when I walked in and my room was cooking in the July summer sun. The air conditioner seemed to be pulling air from 10 miles away it took so long to cool. Great location, great staff!
