Fabulous Hotel 3 minutes from Chichen Itza.

The staff at Hacienda Chichén are simply fantastic. The level of service was outstanding and we feel as though we made new friends. The grounds are impeccable and very quiet and relaxing. The chef prepares wonderful meals that provide many different choices and the food quality is outstanding. I can’t recommend this resort enough and we will look forward to returning to Hacienda Chichén!

The grounds of the hotel are really beautiful with abundant bird life. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked very inviting. The food was excellent as was the service. The location very close to Chichen Itza was perfect.

RoomsLarge rooms with two double beds. Our room has a nice sitting area, with a small room inside our room to store our bags. The bathroom is clean and spacious with a nice tub. However, when you take a shower, water gets on the floor and food the room. We had to use a towel to squeeze out the water from the floor and use several towels.to.mop the floor so that we would not slip. There is an outside sitting area where you can watch birds.
Nearby activitiesChichen Itza is around the corner where you can take a taxi for 200 pesos one-way. We took the same taxi to go out to the downtown area. The driver Ariel was so kind and he took us to some local shopping area where you can buy things for cheaper price.
SafetyWe felt safe walking in this hotel garden and stay there
WalkabilityFar away from public transportation.
Food & drinksThey don't have all-inclusive, so you have to order their menu, which is very expensive. Serving size of their meals are also very small. 3 people can eat a meal and easily spend $75 to 100 and not still full.

This is a wonderful hotel, located on the beautiful grounds of a historic hacienda. Truly lovely.
HOWEVER -- be aware that the rear (eastern) entrance to Chichen-Itza is currently and I believe indefinitely closed (as of January 2024). As a result, you *cannot* walk to the site from the hotel -- it's an 8-minute drive on the highway back around to the main entrance. That's not the end of the world, but it does detract from what would otherwise be one of the primary attractions of the hotel. The hotel website states this clearly, but alas I didn't read that before coming.

I had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my family and I were comfortable. The food provided by the hotel restaurant was delicious and affordable as well.

Awesome place. Right in the middle of the jungle.

The Hacienda Chichen Resort is a great place to stay in order to visit Chichen Itza. It consists of an impressive old hacienda and beautiful, well-kept jungle grounds with multiple smaller guest room blocks. The rooms are basic but the a/c works well and the bathroom facilities are fine though not luxurious. There is a restaurant in the main building with seating inside and outside. We ate breakfast and dinner there, with the menu changing according to time of day. The food was good though pricey - dinner for 5 would run to ~200 USD including a glass of wine each.

Authentic Mayan. The staff was awesome, friendly and full of information. The room was great and the grounds beautiful. I'm pretty sure the Iguanas are on the payroll.

Peaceful and charming with attentive staff. I had the best pasta primavera. The pool should be the model for all hotels. It was perfectly maintained and gorgeous

Great place awesome attention to details, very tasteful decor. However bathroom shower not good at all very confusing to turn water on, shower drain was very slow or clogged..nasty! we understand it is an old property, but that is not ok, glad we only stayed one night!

The property is amazing . The management can be more accommodating and friendly. But they answer the questions you need. Property is pretty.

The Restaurant and common area of the Hotel very very nice and enjoyable. The location is great if you want to spend an overnight on the area.
The rooms were not great. The door handle was loose and I did not feel safe leaving valuables in my room as I felt the room could be easily accessed. The rooms were in separate buildings (2 or 3 rooms per "villa"). The musty and moldy odor was overwhelming.
I staying the restaurant as long as I could at night (with my valuables with me in my day pack) and got out as early as I could and went to my next destination.

Lovely place near the historical Chichen Itza! Very clean and their food is out of the world!

The room itself had no view but the veranda was lovely! The Hacienda is gorgeous, wonderful staff. Recommend highly.

No wifi in the individual rooms. Wifi only accedsible in main building. Only thing to do is chitzen itza, no other tourist attractions or adventures.

The property is beautiful with Mayan, Spanish, and archeological history. We enjoyed strolling around in the morning and seeing the old structures and church. The enormous trees and plants are home to many birds. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. The pool is wonderful. The restaurant is excellent (but not inexpensive). The staff are friendly and helpful. The location makes a trip to Chichén Itzá more relaxing because it's easy to visit the ruins early while the temperature is cool. My family highly recommends!

Incredibly beautiful resort. From the room, pool, gardens, veranda, we loved our stay here. Wish we had stayed longer.

Quite an amazing place. This is the ultimate retreat hotel where you can feel disconnected ( no wifi in room, no TV, no telephone to join the front desk)
We had a very late dinner which they accommodate very nicely 9:45 pm, kitchen closes at 10 and breakfast. Everything was delicious with nice fresh organic ingredients.
For pet owners, it is perfect, beautiful grounds to dogs to walk or run. Bowls, toy and poop bags provided. As per owner it is heaven.
We stayed on night, arrived after a long trip and it was magical. The only issue is we never got hot water (arrival day and next morning)
We enjoyed sitting by the pool with a bottle of wine, the only thing missing if you wanted to soak the sun was they have no lounge chairs to take a nap by the pool.
Next time we go to this area will stay again and check on hot water at check-in :0) and try their spa services.
Highly recommended

beautiful hacienda hotel, check in was ok the mineral pool was nice & the huge gardens are beautiful , however the mattress was very old & uncomfortable , woke up with a sore back.the AC malfunctioned & the person at the front office during the evening wasnt helpful & refused to answer our phone calls.

Beautiful hotel but food is just so so.

A quiet Spanish style Hacienda a short drive from Chichen Itza’ and other Mayan archeological sites. The place is gorgeous, very well maintained and ideal for people wanting to unplug and just listen to the forest. There are areas with high speed internet so if you need to work or entertain yourself online you can. Down the 180 route past Xcalacoop we found a gem of a store selling local Pueblo handmade art.
