Toilet didn’t work properly. I had to go get a plunger from front desk and my girlfriend had to keep going to lobby Just to use restroom. Also the hot tub was dirty prior to us using it.

The room above me had people, maybe children, jumping on the floor until after midnight, and then again early in the morning. It was very loud!!!
The door in the back, that needed to be used to get into the motel, didn’t work. They told me at the front desk that I would have to park my car in the back and then walk all the way around to the front of the motel to get inside. I told them that I would be parking in a Handicao spot, and walking around the motel in the freezing cold would be very difficult for me. The only answer I got was “The door doesn’t work from the outside”. They could have offered to open the door for me from the inside, so I could park and get right in, but they didn’t offer that. I had to walk from the parking lot in the back all the way around to the front of the motel in order to get to my room.

We have stayed at this property previously and have no issues. But this time we had one. I booked this online and had stated we would pay at the property when we arrived. I had my bank credit card on file with Hotels.com but was using a different card for the room once arrived, as we have done prior. I informed the desk when we arrived of this, and they scanned my Discover card for the charges. But to my dismay, after we checked out and returned home, they went ahead and charged my bank card and not my Discover card as I had asked. As we normally stay here when we come to town, this is unacceptable and we will not be using this hotel in the future. Be wary when booking here.

I was very unhappy with our stay. To start, we got an email a day or 2 after booking that the pool was out “Through September 2024”. It was too late for us to cancel as the marathon was that weekend and hotels were booked out. We stayed from October 11-14, so I expected the pool to be fixed. It wasn’t, but no biggie. Upon arrival, we found that our room was very nasty. The floors were gross and it didn’t look like it had been vacuumed. We have 2 young kids and we wouldn’t let them walk on the floors without shoes. There were sticky spots on the countertops. Again, we tried to overlook it and make the best of it. At breakfast the next morning, I went to fill up my son’s juice cup, only for ants to fall in the cup from where the juice dispenser was covered in ants. We spent the whole day in Chicago and came back around 8:30, only to find that out toilet wouldn’t flush (and it wasn’t due to usage, we had been out all day). We called the front desk and the guy just said “sorry, maintenance isn’t here. It can’t be fixed right now. But you can use the bathroom in the lobby”. Again, we have 2 small children and we were on the 3rd floor. So we had to take the elevator down every time they needed to go. The next morning, I went down to the lobby to use the bathroom and was accosted by an “employee” for using the “employee bathroom” that they told us to use. And then she argued with me when I told her the other guy told us to use it. Rude staff. Nasty hotel. Not staying here again.

Searched for properties with a bathtub in room & a pool. This property popped up. I've booked Best Westerns through Hotels.com before & NEVER had an issue. Booked, with both of those amenities still showing. Got there to discover none of the rooms had a bath tub & the pool was empty/closed as well. Chair in room had a weird stain on it. There were a lot of sketchy looking men hanging around the back parking lot smoking cigarettes with the door to the hotel open. Whole first floor hallway smelled like cigarettes. Parking lot smelled of urine. None of the keycard doors to enter the building locked properly. Kids went to get a soda from the vending machine, soda wouldn't come out because there were a bunch of empty beer cans shoved into where they come out of. Would not recommend AT ALL! Only stayed there because I couldn't immediately get the $ I paid back to go somewhere else! We left early in the morning, way before check out! The free breakfast turned out to be pretty good, but that's it! Also the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty.

Not even sure where to begin. The staff is very rude and curt. Didn’t want to answer simple questions pertaining to why the indoor pool was not open as advertised or why signs around the building say “park at your own risk.” Was told that you have to park in the back and walk around the front because “that’s just the way it is.” All doors had a brick inserted in them so others could get in.
Breakfast was just okay which is fine. Just be ware that if you’re looking for a “safe” place to stay and “friendly” staff, unsure if this the place for you,
The room was pretty clean but smelled kind of odd. Maybe previously was a smoking room that was converted to a non-smoking room? Elevator would start to go up before the door was even closed😳

Affordable price, easy access from airport and public transportation, comfortable matress and breakfast was nice. The best part was there were lot of dining choices in walkable distance. Overall good choice for a budget traveler.

I liked that room itself. I did not like that the gentleman at the front desk said we could go out the side and back doors but couldn’t get in them, just to find out all of them were propped open making it easy for anyone guest or not to enter the premises.

Rocky start at check-in. A $100 dollar "hold" fee placed on my credit card. Refundable in5-7 days. Not a typical fee in my travels and not prominently displayed when booking, as well as the fact that the hotel pool was unavailable. Parking is in the rear of the hotel and the entrance to the hotel from the rear is in need of repair as of 8-27-24 locked and inaccessable . I had to walk back to the front to get access. When I got to the third floor room the room keys were not properly coded and had to return to the main desk to get corrected.
The remainder of the stay was uneventful. The rooms were good for the price point. Make sure to bring USB adapters that plug in standard outlets. USB outlets are not standard in the rooms outlets nor on the lamps.The breakfast was typical fare. Good place to stay if on a budget.

This has been one of my best hotel experiences ever, and i travel 3 weeks out of the month! The staff was wonderful! So friendly, always available, very accommodating, and very kind. Ill stay here every time I'm in the chicago area now, which is several times a year. I like that they also have a stand alone alarm clock and phone

Everything was great. Comfy beds, cold fridge, ice machine working and the breakfast was decent and well supplied. Everything smelled clean and there were cleaning ladies keeping everything looking and smelling good. Pretty good location. The downside was the pool being out of order, our TV not wanting to turn on, the main back doors being propped open cause they were broken making it less secure. Over all we would stay again.

Doors propped open all night. When asked about time frame to fix doors we were told they have no idea.
For 170 dollars per night the hotel was more interested in collecting money than the security of their guests. Will not got back and did not when we returned to Des Plaines the following week for 4 days

The whole Hotel smelled really bad like a dirty kitchen rag. There was no water in the swimming pool, when I took a shower there was no shampoo in the container. I had my son go tell them but they never refilled it or gave us shampoo. When I left at 5am this morning I went back in to do a final walkthrough making sure we weren’t missing anything and I was locked out before I even checked out.

Pool was out of order and appeared to had been for some time. Parking was in the rear but the 2 rear entrances were “out of order” but nothing appeared to be wrong with the doors. There appeared to be urine in the toilet when we got into the room. Front staff was not overly friendly.

Started with the receptionist , she was so rude, when checking us in, we reserved 4 rooms and while she checking us she was on the phone at the same time giving us no respect or attention and kept talking to the point we didn’t know if talking to us or to the people on the phone.
So not welcoming at all period.
Room service was bad , didn’t clean the room, we stayed two nights didn’t even touch the beds.
Smell bad all over.
Rude staff . Accept the receptionist who checked us out on Monday morning , she was not.

Hotel was ok.. I wouldn’t recommend. Front desk guy gave us an occupied room at first. The pool was not available due to maintenance. I wouldn’t have booked if I would have known that the pool wasn’t available. Decent for the price is the best I can say. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

Beds were fine. The pool was closed, back door to parking lot didn't work, hallways smelled musty and the room wasn't much better. Could easily hear people in rooms above and next door, and the windows were single pane glass that let in all the traffic noise. I would not stay here again.

The person at the front desk was very accommodating to us. We asked if she could hold our luggage since we had traveled all night but the room wasn’t ready. She did. we got here in the morning and check in is at 2 pm. She saw us in the lobby and told us that a is being cleaned right then and we could check in early!
