My stay was very pleasant, the reception woman working on Friday was very nice that booked us in. Also the the woman doing the breakfast was very nice and breakfast was really good. Also the other reception working was also nice, only negative thing is a man giving the receptionist a terrible time. swearing at her she did nothing wrong to the man, she was nice to him. Nobody should come to the work to get abused.

A large place, with excellent staff, good food and very clean. It is old fashioned, as in 1970s , and some areas would definately benefit from renovation. Overall, a pleasant stay in a lovely position near the seafront.

My room was spacious and clean. 77. Pipes noisy EVERY flush, same from neighbouring rooms. But easily lived with. This hotel is definitely housing homeless people or migrants, or both. I have no qualms with this as they should have somewhere to stay, obviously. BUT the Windsor AND Hotels.com should be very much upfront with this. I must add though that there was absolutely no problem with our friends who do require shelter.

Absolutely not bad.
Old fashioned and kinda old big building with a good need of renovation, but it was very good to stay in there. Reception staff absolutely great! Was lovely to see the aurora boreal just a few steps from the hotel

The staff I met at The Windsor where excellent.Housekeeping ladies where lovely .
Front office folk where very helpful and caring .my room was of a good standard .
Only issue was with the bed a bit lumpy and the quilt a bit thin .on the whole I would stay again perhaps in a different room as my partner and I are planning a trip to.Newcastle in December.thankyou kind regards Barbara Trivett

Basic, clean accommodation. Good value for money. Private car park a bonus. However rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy due to nightclub opposite. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

The location was great, 1 block from the seafront. Very dog friendly even allowing us to have breakfast with the dog. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Parking was good at the back of the hotel, but i think it should have had cameras. The room was clean although very hot. There was no heating on and the windows wouldnt open. The bathroom was large with a shower and a bath. Everything you needed for a nights stay.

Floorboards in corridor outside room were very noisy. Also, disco in building over the road was loud, with people shouting intil 2:30am.
The lift in the hotel wasn't working.
Apart from that, the room was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. And pricing was competitive.

Another great stay. Cheap and Cheerful..Been here several times now. Staff very friendly. Our Cockapoo Service Dog isn't charged for accomodation which is also appreciated. Parking is easy and theres also plenty local pubs and eateries where dogs are welcome. We'll be back.again :-)

Yes the hotel is dated and the lift doesn’t work but the place is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful! Could do with getting black out curtains!

Nice, clean hotel. Very helpful, friendly staff. Saw the reviews about the club across from the hotel being loud but it wasnt bad at all. Could hear the music slightly and a couple of people talking loud coming out but didnt affect our sleep at all. Walking distance to the beach and amusements and restaurants

Stayed before and can't grumble for the price as great location. They charged £10 a night for our dog which seemed fair. Found a used plaster at the side of the bed though which wasn't great otherwise the room was sound. Nightclub was a little noisy outside due to a fight but at least it was free entertainment 😆. Cracking shower too in Room 66. We'll be back! 😁

Great location, no real issues. Friendly staff and clean linens and towels. Room 20 with sea views much appreciated.
Room was too warm but we had taken a fan along with us and the decor was dated and tired.
Overall great value for money and we would definitely stay again.

The hotel is opposite a night club and there was constant noise from 10pm until 2pm. This is a tired old low grade hotel… perhaps fine if you just want a cheap night and you have ear plugs or you use a hearing trumpet…

Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. Room was clean. Moved us as the lift wasn't working. Would stay again

Good value. A little dated. Could so with a upgrade. Noisey at night due to night club straight opposite hotel. Staff were very helpful

When we got there they offered us a room on the second floor and they told us that the lift was not working and that we had to carry our bags upstairs and i told them that I had bad legs so they offered us another room on the first floor which had black stains stuck on the carpet and other stains on the carpet as well and the sink in the bathroom was cracked so we had to take the room on the second floor and there was no heating in the room plus the tv didn’t work with the remote so I would like some sort of compensation for my inconvenience thanks D Docherty

The Windsor is in a great location moments from the town centre in one direction and the seafront in the other. The accommodation is basic and a little dated, but decent value for the price we paid. Only problem we had was the lift being out of order and our room was on the 3rd floor.

Very nice hotel, not far from the seafront. Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Nice spacious room with en-suite bathroom. It very much had a lot of English charm and nice northern hospitality.

Property was very run down. Disgusting carpets, curtains falling off, cobwebs in room.bathroom tiles and shower needsre grouting and bought upto date. Place absolutely stank of weed!! Know it was a dog friendly hotel, but felt that was only cause it was in a run down state!
Shame, as if it was modernised and updated, would bring in better customers, as the area around is beautiful, with lovely places to visit.
Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was good!

Room was a good size, room dirty marks up the wall, tv loose sign a lot, floor broads all loose keeps you up people walking past and if someone running a tap in there room makes a noise in my room lol
