Pros:1) I’d checked in earlier than official time and kept my luggage in the hotel. When I got my room key in the evening, my luggage was in my room already.
2) It locates near Petite Tokyo and lots of Japanese and Korean restaurants near.
Cons: 1)It stated that the hotel provided free WiFi. However, the staff did not inform me about it and there’s no hints for the password in the room too.
2) There’re only a bottle opener and a glass in the room. No drinking water, tea bags, coffee, nor a kettle was provided. It’s really out of my expectation. Maybe I could get hot water at the hotel bar but I was too tired to go down to the reception level again.
3) Poor sound proofing. I heard the guests in the next room talking, flushing the toilet and showering clearly.
4) inadequate power sockets. The only one found was placed behind an armchair. It’s not easy to access as it’s blocked by the desk chair. Besides, the socket was not securely fixed .

Perfectly clean but facility items should have been more sufficient. There was only 1 power to plug in. There was no water or coffee.. location is good close to the train station but not very down town..

Night time: felt bad with all drug dealers and addiction person on the neighbouring streets.
Hotel top of the class and so every staff member we met. We would book again with an earlier arrival in daylight. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and central attractions.

Great hotel and comfy proper bed !

I couldn’t fault the friendliness of all of the staff that every single person made us feel very welcome and that counted for a lot.
The rooms were clean. The bathroom was beautiful and Claudia who cooks the breakfast in the morning is possibly the nicest lady you’ll ever wish to meet she does it all herself it’s a wonderful set up.
I was very impressed with this Hotel.
The only letdown really is the area that it’s in isn’t the greatest when you go and park your car in the car park around the back, if you go there at night it’s not the nicest environment that you want to be in but that shouldn’t really be a black mark against the Hotel but I’m just putting it down as a point of note.
Overall old happily stay here again, good value for money and great people

Breakfast not bad

This is a very small little property, beautifully decorated, comfortable with the most delightful staff. The buffet breakfast is probably one of the best I’ve had in Germany and of course everyone was very helpful. I would definitely come back again.

Interesting hotel, split either side of the road (Lord one side, Lady the other). Reception in Lord. Very welcoming and helpful. Rooms all decorated differently. Clean and comfortable, reasonable size and useful storage. Good breakfast option. Easy walk to station and transport links.

A gem in the centre of Düsseldorf. 10 min walk to centre and many bars and restaurants. Room was delightful and breakfast superb. Very friendly owners and staff. Secure parking.

The mattress was a bit to soft for me and my room was on the first floor with some safety tool at the door… but in whole one of the best hotels in Germany I have ever been. Will come back (hopefully soon)

The good: very clean. The bed is comfortable. Big showerhead (though the water does spill iver the floor under the door). Good location.
The bad: room is quite small. The owner is extremely passive aggressive on minor things (you'll feel bullied into handing over your key every time you step out of the hotel. Very weird and awkward). But the worst is the thin ceilings. It is in every description that the hotel does not accept kids, but a couple moved in above us with two small children and were horribly loud for hours on end (screaming, jumping, dragging around furniture). We had the most horrible night. On check-out, all the owner had to say was that they normally do not allow kids, but an employee had checked them in for reasons unknown, and without realizing... This really did nothing for us, obviously. As the cherry on the pie, we were told on the 23rd of December at 10:15am that we could not leave our luggage until 4pm when we would catch our train, as the hotel was closing for 3 days. There has been no mention of this before. When we asked for an hour hold to explore our options we were told to "not be late or you will not be able to get your luggage back". The owner just felt unwelcoming, passive aggressive and unpleasant. Plus, sleep was impossible on the 2nd night because they did not honor their own policy. Nothing was done to make it even remotely better.

The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly. Our one disappointment was there was no lift in our building after the hotel was advertised as having one. This made it very difficult for my spouse.

Lovely room, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovey. The location was quiet and only a short walk from the main train station. Would definitely stay again

Two things were exceptional: cleanliness of the room; helpfulness and kindness of the staff. I was exhausted after my flight. The young man at the front desk went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. He brought me a cup of coffee and some waffles, as I sat in the lobby to get my day figured out. The breakfast was delicious and well worth the price.

This hotel is a short walking distance from the railway station in a quiet street. he hotel itself was great, all staff were very friendly, our room was lovely, spacious, exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed and very nice bathroom with a spacious shower. Breakfast was served in a lovely room with a very good buffet selection to choose from. Scrambled eggs were cooked to order, so nice to have freshly cooked eggs. Overall we found this to be a exceptional boutique hotel. Would definately stay here again.

This hotel is just a few minutes walk away from the rail station, the Tavel information office is also there. The hotel is split with Lady one side of the road and Sir Astor opposite. We took breakfast there a little expensive but nice and convenient. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
