A superb hotel in every respect, and even better than its 4 star rating.

Convenient to Delgany/Greystones. Very short stay but comfortable room with glimpse of sea beyond wooded valley.

The hotel location is ideal, it was a 5 minute drive from the sugarloaf car park

Stayed for 1 night for New Year’s Eve,
On arrival it was full of kids running around screaming in the bar, couldn’t have a conversation, it said online there was a library room where you could relax with a drink but that was locked. Lunch was ok very basic food, (ham and cheese bap and Pasta and jar of tomato sauce) and the staff all looked to be very young & inexperienced, didn’t have good hospitality training at all. The girl barista was extremely rude. You also couldn’t leave a credit card on your room to just add all your expenses like all normal hotels, this also caused a lot of confusion for the meal package that was booked, the lady at the front desk it seemed it was her first day on the job. There was about 4 managers walking around but it would have been better if they trained the staff. We were really banking on the woodland restaurant being as good as it said online, firstly the pictures online don’t look at all what it was, for Christmas there wasn’t even a tree, lights or a painting on the wall, cheap tables and chairs with over head bright spotlights, zero dining experience atmosphere, food was pub grub, deserts and cocktails were the saving grace, we went back to the bar for the new years celebration which was the late late on the telly and a guy playing guitar badly, rarely leave bad reviews but this is honest and how it was, serious improvements need to be made to call it a 4 star.

Breakfast was not included which I was surprised at as I had searched hotels. com looking for breakfast included. I thought the price was fair if the room had of included breakfast. Not a big deal, but a little disappointing

This is a very beautiful property. The rooms are well equipped with a Great coffee making facilities. Food was delicious. I don’t mind at both informal and formal restaurants.

Pleasant hotel in a great setting. A bit overpriced though for what you get in terms of room quality and size

Very spacious and comfortable room.

We had a great stay at Glenview and the surrounding Wicklow mountains areas. The hotel is easy to get to (2 minutes off the motorway), has a bunch of history, and is very well decorated with loads of amenities - a bar, a pool/gym, restaurant, walking trail, and more. Our only criticisms were that there's very little soundproofing through the rooms (people walking in the hallways, watching TV, etc. travels easily), almost no airflow so it gets stuffy unless you have a window open, and the rooms and bathrooms could use a bit of an updating as things are a bit dated or attention to detail in the refurbishment wasn't done as good as expected of a 4 star hotel. Overall, staff were very nice and we would stay here again.

Very child friendly

The pictures on Expedia were very decieving showing pictures of freshly renovated bathroom. Our shower was clearly very old and had hair left on the wall from the previous guest.
Overpriced and poorly managed.
The outdoor hot tub was out of order.

I thought the furnishing of the bedroom could be better. There was no chest of drawers for instance. Not much thought had been put into it. The staff were very helpful especially a front of house chap (I think he was called Roberto, from Guatamala ) He was exceptionally kind and helpful!

Charity and Robert made our stay nice. However this hotel is a YMCA, do not go here to even relax it’s a shame cause they have an amazing view. In the summer they host swimming classes for kids. It’s fills with
Kids and parents all around screaming Guest can nottt enjoy a quiet day at the pool until 7 pm
Even you get hungry no snack even given pass 9pm
No taxis. It’s a crewfew location. Not worth staying there.

Nice hotel in a secluded spot although hard to spot from the road and nearly drove past it. Has a slightly dated feel to it but its well maintained and clean. Has a nice garden bar and a walk in the surrounding grounds which was a nice addition. Plenty of parking and close access to the motorway for getting to places. Late 12pm check out is also handy.

Shockingly over priced, stayed on business. Would never stay again.

This hotel is dated. Not old in a charming European way, just old. The carpets were shabby and tattered, the ancient blow dryer barely worked and there were no usb ports. There were also no amenities that you usually expect in a 4* hotel. No robes, no slippers, no towel warmer, no mini fridge. One of the things they did have that should have been great was a beatiful pool. Unfortunately when we went to use it, the pool was filled with local children taking swim lessons. There was no place for actual hotel guests to swim for most of the day. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive but the food was mediocre and expensive. When we arrived our room had 1 towel and the worst pillows I have ever slept with! House keeping never came to service our room. I would not reccomended this hotel.

I arrived in the middle of the night due to a flight delay. The gentleman on reception could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Excellent service.

The stay for one night was very good and the room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good.

The hotel is really old, and the food at the bar was really poor, we couldn’t get a table at the main restaurant.
The spa is good, but the hotel needs to be upgrade.

Had a lovely stay in the Glenview last week. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. We had a front room overlooking the Wicklow hills. Hotel is well placed for exploring Wicklow.
We would highly recommend the Glenview Hotel

Had a few issues re electric sockets not working, unreliable internet connection, coffee maker leaking. But staff sorted another room and generally we were happy with the service and cleaniliness. Terrific views from breakfast room/restaurant over the glen at sunrise. In some ways its a little dated but we knew that before booking. Never made it to the leisure/spa area. Nice walk through glen.

we stayed seven nights ...had a lovely stay...it is in a beautiful location and close to Greystones and the DART train......the staff in general were lovely and at reception they were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back again.

Good hotel but a few points that doesn't make it a 4 star.
We had the luck of good weather the downside is it is that the rooms are to warm, there is no air conditioning and leaving windows open is not an option as there are no insect shields.
Wals are very thin, we could here the couple in the room next to us working on their offspring.
Breakfast and both on site restaurants are very good.

We will be returning to this Hotel some time soon we hope...

Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was a little chaotic and service slow but this could have been just because it was their first weekend open after the restrictions lifted. Next time I will request a room with a view at the front as the Glen is beautiful. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were lovely and we received amazing massages in the Haven.

Had to book two rooms as we were two adults, and two children. When we checked in, they only checked us in for one of the rooms (even though we were all four standing there, and the room they gave my partner only had room for 3 people), immediately realising, I went back to get the second room, only to find it was allocated on another floor, and there was nothing they could change about that. Next, as we checked in, we were asked if we wanted to make a restaurant reservation, we told them, no, we'll use room service. When we rang for room service, we were told there was no room service, and the only restaurant reservation was now at 9:15pm. Luckily there was the bar, so the kids didn't do without. Next, we booked because it had a pool, only there were no slots available, that afternoon, evening, or the next morning, so we had disappointed children. If they had just emailed us we we could have booked a pool slot ahead of time. I really think that guests should have some pre-reserved slots.
The rooms were clean, but no fridge, and no plug sockets by the beds.
Whilst it was maintained and clean, there was some mold in one bathroom, and definite damp issues in the other, and in the bar.
It seems to be used mainly for leisure centre for non-guests, and as a place to stay to go into Dublin (interesting given that shouldn't be happening right now), judging by the number of taxis, and the raucous returns to nearby rooms between 11pm and 1:30am.

Lovely location. Excellent Customer Service and very friendly staff.
We ate in the Bistro as the Restaurant was full and the quality and choice of food was excellent. Breakfast was served in a room with a lovely view. Great choice and quality of breakfast as well served by very attentive staff.

Pool and hot tub started reconstruction the day we checked in and was closed our whole stay. so we cancelled our reservation for the rest of the week the next morning. They were very nice and refunded our money.

Food was gorgeous and well priced, the setting is beautiful with gardens worth exploring and the surprise of a herd of alpaca at the end!! The room was warm, clean and very cosy with an enormous bed, I had a wonderful time.

Hotel is in a good location but a car is necessary. From the outside the hotel appears to require some repairs. For example front door hard to open.
Staff were very friendly. Nice but limited selection of food in ground floor restaurant.
Breakfast was fine with a good selection to choose from.
Bedroom was dated and needs a little TLC.

Lovely place to stay and great food Close to shopping and great scenery Fully recommend this hotel
