Our family had a lovely week staying at this Vermont farmhouse in the midst of the Green Mountains. We walked in and immediately felt like we were home. Whether sitting in the sunroom reading, playing games in the parlor, or playing the piano from the Stephen Foster songbook in the entryway, we loved everything about this special place.

Leslie’s cozy farmhouse was the perfect spot for our group to stay before heading to see the eclipse. The snow was a nice bonus - our dogs loved it the most!

Overall Leslie's house is great!
However, I will not be back again because Leslie tried to extort my group for an additional $125 cleaning fee. She contacted me repeatedly over email and text message. It required me to get in contact with VRBO, and spend many hours communicating with them and her, and put a damper on the trip.
Another note -- you will have to make your own beds. When we arrived, none of the beds had linens on them.

Timbertop is the most charming antique farmhouse nestled in the mountains. We had a wonderfully relaxing week and found the house welcoming and comfortable. We cooked and ate and lounged about, explored Brandon and the surrounding area. Highly recommend staying here.

This was just a wonderfully peaceful place. Listening to the tree frogs, watching the fireflies, and stargazing was a great reset. My twin granddaughters enjoyed exploring the brook and picking (and eating) the blueberries. The home itself is like a trip in the way back machine to a time when things were much simpler. The wi-fi was not wonderful which made working a bit difficult and this is an old home. While I thought that was awesome, be prepared for all that goes along with that.

Lovely old farmhouse, well equipped for cooking, and meticulously cleaned. We enjoyed hanging out together on the sun porch, walking along the old dirt road, and watching the fireflies in the evening. We did not see a moose, but hope springs eternal.

Disappointed to not find a place on the VRBO website to ask for refunds. See below
1) Two nights cancelled by owner -- @ least $514.00
2) Plus five hours lost with no power -- $54.00
3) Explain $420 additional guest fee -- refund or decrease:; 2 nights = zero; four nights = seven; 1 night = three
4) Taxes reduced with decreased expenses
5) Host Fees??? -- Please explain and decrease proportionately
6) One hour lost with checkout moved up one hour - $10.80
At owner's last minute request we provided all sheets and towels -- washer and dryer not working. Also cleaned air filter.
House nicely appointed. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Beds comfortable. Thermostat = antique. Hammers, tools maintenance items, painting materials need to be removed from living area and locked up. Great location, great views. Quiet and peaceful. Appreciate snow plowing.

Leslie’s home is the perfect escape from the busy day to day. The home is full of charm, location perfect to explore the surrounding areas and the views so relaxing from the house. The wifi is very good as well, there were no issues when we had to work.

Convenient and comfortable. we were very impressed with the cleanliness of this home . It was very comfortable and relaxing, and met all our needs. So much better than staying in a motel or a hotel. Directions were very convenient for everything we needed to do, at the house. We were just 10 minutes away from our friends home in Brandon, and the wedding venue in Brandon. So happy with our choice. PS also fun to stay in the old farmhouse.

Thank you for the hospitality !

We loved the feel and the amenities of this house. It was perfect for our needs: homey, kitchen well-stocked, comfortable beds, everything in good working order. The owner's instructions are thorough and helpful. The gardens and meadow are beautiful, with the hills beyond. Plenty of room outside for children and dogs to play. There are only a couple of other houses on the road, so no traffic to speak of. Very tranquil. Nearby town of Brandon has good restaurants and some shops. Many great places nearby to hike. Highly recommend!

Perfect rustic farmhouse, as described and just what I was looking for! Leslie the homeowner was great! The boys loved exploring the property and sledding down the hills around the house. We snowboarded in Killington which wasn’t far away, visited Ben & Jerry’s, had a maple syrup tasting tour and visited an apple cider plant. Would definitely visit again!

My friends and I loved this place for our ski trip - 3 minute drive to backcountry skiing, and only 25 minutes to great cross country. We loved the fireplace, and the kitchen was quite well stocked for a big night of cooking. Host was very communicative too!

This was a birthday gift for my daughter and her husband. They loved the place on a cold and snowy weekend. Their social media post said "Cozy Vermont weekend featuring lots of fire time and dogs playing in the snow."

This was our second stay here and it’s become a home away from home for our family. It’s off the beaten path and a wonderful place to get away from it all, do some sledding on the hill out back or just settle in for some quiet reading. But it’s hardly isolated. We skied at Sugarbush, ate goat cheese from the farm up the road (Icehouse Farm) and took home a case of delicious maple syrup from Republic of Vermont, also just up the road. Rochester and Brandon are both close. So too is hiking in the Brandon Gap area across from the wonderfully named Mount Horrid. We expect to be back!

My family recently enjoyed a lovely stay at Leslie's house. The house is historic, comfortable, and charming, while the grounds and road provide lots of exploration opportunities without having to get back in the car. There are plentiful hiking options within a 15-minute drive, and the Forest Dale Grocery just down the road helped meet some needs. Would definitely come back!

Lovely property on quiet road and close to Brandon. Loved the claw foot tub! Enjoyed our morning coffee with the mountains and the wildlife on the porch!

Beautiful mountain farmhouse tucked just inside the Green Mountain forest. Close to the cool little town of Brandon which has groceries, restaurants & gas. The majority of the acreage around the house is fields of grass and wildflowers.

Leslie was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. The house is a lovely old farmhouse within earshot of babbling brooks and next to a lovely wooded trail. The property is spectacular! House was in good condition given its age and has every amenity we needed for our stay. Nearby Brandon is a charming small town.

What a unique and cozy getaway! We wanted an escape to the mountains and this was more than perfect- it had plenty of space and so much charm, a combination of history and modern conveniences. No cell service but good WiFi meant we could unplug but get some work done during our stay. The backyard had the best sledding hill that our kids (11 and 9 yo) played on all day long, sleds thankfully in the shed. Well-equipped kitchen for cooking , and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a blissful stay here on our own as a couple and then with some of our adult children. It was everything we were looking for. We were able to work with adequate WiFi for 2 while also enjoying daily outings to cross country ski in the field or on the property trails or at nearby Blueberry Hill. Sugarbush and Mad River or the Midd Snowbowl are reasonable drives away. And backcountry skiing at the Brandon Gap is just around the corner from the property. Quiet, charming, special! Great light and cozy!

This property provided a perfect escape for our entire family, including our fur baby, for Christmas in 2020. Leslie was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the entire process from booking to checkout. Can’t wait to enjoy this property again in the summer months!

We loved the sunroom! It was an unexpected nice surprise because there was not a picture of it in the advertisement. It heated very well for an old house and the small town nearby was lovely. We just didn’t walk around or go in any shops due to the pandemic and we were quarantining. It’s a beautiful well kept old farmhouse!!
