Very friendly staff. Good location.

The staff is really friendly and good location.

Eh it’s okay wish we could’ve got a better hotel though

Very affordable and close to everything.

I booked and paid for a room with a balcony and they gave us a regular room. They said on their end it was showing up as a regular room but when I showed them the reservation on my end, suddenly, it was popping up as a balcony room. They said it was expedias fault for booking it that way when they had other people booked in those rooms and they could not kick them out for us. They kept blaming Expedia and said this is what happens to them a lot and using a third party booking agent is not reliable. They said they would report it to Expedia but did nothing to make it right for us. The room had hair all over the shower and the back of the toilet. The pool and bar area were nice though

I like the view but not the room and there was no hot water in bathroom
2.0
I like the view from the hotel. Only a few beach benches to use. The breakfast menu was bored. You can hear other guests when they talk in the rooms.Maintanence personal was working at 7 00 am hammering the walls. Its difficult to park when the upper parking lot is full.

The room wasn’t very clean, there was some garbage still I’m guessing when they cleaned didn’t sweep good or mopped. The sink had a drain strain and was dirty and it grossed me out because the water wouldn’t fully go down quickly.
I didn’t even have a view through the window, it was high and covered with a lining so you couldn’t look outside. outside my room was an ugly area with a pile of dirt and black drapes, like they maybe remodeling or adding to the hotel.
Overall the hotel is in a good area and accessible to downtown and beach is like a 3 minute walk. But just an outdated hotel

One stop shop close to Ll amenities

The room was perfect, and even though it was right off a busy road was quiet. Nice pool with swim up bar. The included breakfast was excellent. Gym was well equipped. My only neg comment in the party on Friday that went from 8:00p to 2:30A was incredibly loud, the hotel should definitely make a point to ensure guests are aware of this.

Everything you need in a convenient location
staff are great not a 5 * but very reasonable

Stayed for our first night in tamarindo. Check in wasn’t until 3pm, staff wouldn’t let us check in 20 minutes early. Property feels old and out dated and could definitely be cleaner.

The beds were really hard my back was hurting all night!

Great place and community of people. Room with a view would have been amazing but we only stayed for 1 night so we did not request one.
1.0
Well first of all the location of the Hotel was to far from the town, after you check in you have to walk a long way up a driveway to the rooms, the restaurant is only open for breakfast and last the bed was like sleeping on a board.
4.0
The property was nice and quiet. The reception staff was very nice and attentive. Breakfast was great everyday and the views were amazing. We had a great time.

I was extremely disappointed and upset at the state of this property for the amount of money paid. Would NEVER recommend it.
3.0
No laundry facilities, no beach chairs at property/readily available, did not like cleaning ladies entering room when "do not disturb" sign was up (english and
spanish), no fridge or microwave. Room too small. Good location, good breakfast.

We stayed one night. Convenient to Jaco and safe.

This property is in dire need of renovation. The bed was uncomfortable and hard and the TV is only in Spanish. We ended up with sore backs in the morning. It is a 2-2.5 star hotel at its best. For the basic rate, there is no fridge in the room. The towels were dirty and had to ask for a switch twice. I would not stay in this hotel again. For 160$US per night I think you can find more comfortable accomodation but we were there through the peak holiday season.
Pros: the staff are very friendly especially Mariacruz at the reception whom was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is not a buffet or continental, they make it to order from a limited menu list which was nice. The grounds are well kept. The hotel is also located very close to Tamarindo and is convenient for tourist shopping. The pool area is nice if you have children. Walkable to Tamarindo beach and 2 hours from Liberia Airport.

Nice hotel, very well located in Tamarindo: only a 2 minutes walk to the Tamarindo Beach with lots of restaurants, bars and stores at a walking distance as well.
We loved the amazing pool / outdoor area with the swimming bar. The hotel offered free breakfast and free surf board rentals which was a nice plus.
Our room was nice. The decor was a bit outdated, but the bed was super comfortable, and our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. Could use a little more cleanliness around the bathroom but overall it was ok for our needs. We think it offers a good price / quality ratio and great location near everything but away from all the noise. We would come back.
Speaking of noise, just be aware that the hotel is quiet on all nights except Fridays. The hotel outdoor area turns into a huge nightclub as of 8 PM and until 2:30AM. We weren’t aware of this before the check-in where we were asked to sign a waiver. If you plan to have a good rest on a Friday night, this might not be the right hotel, but if you want to dance to the sounds of a salsa band, old school hip hop or reggaeton, then go for it!

This was a beautiful hotel and we loved staying here. When we got here, they didn't have our reservation at all, even though I had the email from Expedia. So Expedia really screwed the pooch on that one...
The hotel was really friendly and professional and moved us into one of their villas for no extra charge. We were able to be closer to the pool and had a beatiful view of the ocean. The pool was so relaxing and we went every single day we were here (2 weeks). I was disappointed in the food here: the breakfast wasn't great and whatever option you choose when you check in is what they give you every day until you ask to change it, and there was a restaurant there that was only open for lunch, so we had to leave to get dinner or lunch. All of the staff were so nice. The bartenders had sub par skills, but were chatty and fun. I recommend you learn some simple Spanish skills as many people in the town speak only Spanish or broken English. Also, most of the workers at the hotel don't speak English and I could tell they appreciated that I made an effort to speak their native language. The bed was comfortable and they came to clean the room every day (even the sand from the beach).

A little more in a older Latino style than a contemporary USA style, but nice. 50 yards away from the beach that you can see from the room. Good pool and restaurant area. They have an agreement with a surf school so you get surfboards, kayaks and paddle for free. Lessons for a price. Loved that!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff is super nice. Rooms are clean with enough room to feel comfortable. Pool was really deep and always warm. Breakfast was good. Right across the street was a Chinese restaurant that came in handy because after breakfast the hotel restaurant does not serve food. The reception area is at the front entrance of the property which after checking in you have to drive up to an upper lot. That was fine but my only issue was that reception is also in charge of handing out the pools towels. The distance between the pool and the reception hut was a maybe a hundred yards or less but it there were a few flights of stairs to navigate.

I disliked the fact they did not want to charge in dollars, they made up their own exchange rate so they could charge a little bit more.

Beautiful, excellent location, very friendly service

Not what I was expecting at all, very bad luck getting this room. No hot water to shower and the bed was like sleeping on the ground. The maintenance guy if they even have one is horrible at his job. I’m sure there are nicer rooms at this hotel, we just got the wrong one

For the price is not bad at all. We had room 401 and it had a very nice view. Reception staff was very friendly and we even had breakfast included. Hotel is very clean, good size pool, bar staff also very nice. We didn't have drinks here. Enjoy the beach!

Nice helpful staff. Convenient. Clean. Nice pool and bar
2.0
The pool area, bartenders and common spaces really are excellent. The rooms are nice but the beds were pretty uncomfortable. The Friday night party was fun but it is very loud so I can see that it could be a turn off if you don’t join in on it. It’s our 2nd time staying and we like it overall. I would like a better bed but the location is great and so is the pool and bar.

Best value for money in Tamarindo. The location, views, and amenities are hard to beat. But what makes this place awesome is the friendly and hard working staff. Ill return without hesitation.

Room was adequate and clean enough for a beach town. Same level you get from Daytona Beach ‘clean’. Great view of the ocean. Very eco-conscious all over the property. Toilet stopped working but one call to reception and someone hurried up and took care of it.
Be aware, the hotel pool bar is also called The Crazy Monkey and they have, basically, a full on rave every Friday night from 9pm-4:30am-ish! Like 800ppl outside your window. Heavy security so I didn’t feel unsafe in any way. If I hadn’t planned an excursion with 6:30am pick up, it wouldn’t have bothered me. But my earplugs did their job and it was no big deal. Plus, hotel guests get free drinks from 9-11 that night. Just saying…bring earplugs if your stay covers a Friday night. Overall, I would stay here again. I would’ve liked to have a fridge and/or microwave in room, but made it work.

The location was perfect, easily walkable to Tamarindo center and restaurants. The breakfast was good, great options to choose from. Andrès at the bar was awesome and smiling. Melissa at breakfast was nice and efficient. Pool was cold. Room was nice and clean. We would recommend anytime.

This is a beat down property, looks so unkept. The staff has no concept of hospitality and are not helpful at all. The front desk lady had horrible manners and how she behaved with us. There was no help in taking the baggage up 3 flights of stairs, no one to welcome us on arrival and no one to show us our room. The whole place is dingy and not worth the price at all.

Me gustó todo, solo que pocos espacios para reservar el desayuno.

Service!!! We loved the Room 401. We did not like the staircases

Pretty property. Well maintained. Clean. Friendly staff. Average breakfast. Free, safe, parking. Nice pool/bar/restaurant area. Friendly staff who speak English very well. Very close to Volcano Brewery if you like that sort of thing. The only, minimal, issue I have is I wish it was 2 blocks closer to the main drag. No sidewalk until then, Can walk off on the side of the road but you get pushed into the road once in a while and it's busy. But I'll be back.
