Everyone who works at Morris Hotel House was very friendly and provided excellent service in response to any questions or concerns we had. We were shown personally to our room and appreciated the cleanliness of the room. The beds were also very comfortable. This hotel is also very close to tourist spots and center city nightlife.

They are not aware of the contents of the text of their automated arrival communications, provided by links in their emails.
On checkour . I had a lengthy conversation their desk person, but later the same person called and were unaware I had checked out over two hours earlier.
Please do not charge me the $250 late checkout fee. Since I dropped off my key with a human being and left at 9:30am.

Beautiful historic colonial style manor that's been made into a luxurious hotel, but with a bed and breakfast feel. Highly recommend!

I seldom take time to write a review but I truly enjoyed my time at Morris House! The management and staff were all helpful and friendly; all remembering my name during the stay. Jerry at the front desk knows so much about the city its history and very welcoming. The hotel was clean. I very much look forward to staying agian.

My stay at The Morris House historic hotel was wonderful and my 3rd stay. Very clean facility; my room as well. Very comfortable. Continental breakfast delish. I even found a new coffee flavor.

A wonderful hotel. I want to thank Jim for his great tour of the hotel and the hotel restaurant for their great service and meal. The room I stayed in was spacious and the bathroom had a wonderful tub for me to take a bath in. I look forward to visiting again when I come back to Philadelphia.

From start to finish, this was a delight. Jerry was friendly and welcoming and was a fund of information about the city. We had one dinner in the hotel and it was excellent. The location was brilliant, a short walk away from all the major historical sites.

Very quaint historic place. Beautifully decorated and the restaurant attached was also an added treat. Would definitely stay here again.

Morris House Hotel is a charming historic landmark in a very convenient center city location. It has a quiet, boutique, b and b feel in spite if its busy downtown location.

Built in the late 1700's and was updated expertly with modern conveniences to make our stay great. Located only a block from the historic district and walking distance to other sites. The staff was exceptional, especially Jim. He gave us a tour of the building explaining its origins and history. He took the time to give us many tips that made a big difference on our 3 day stay. There is a small parking area at the front door off a side street to unload bags. A parking garage is immediately across the street. Be aware that we paid $102 for 3 days parking, at least it was safe. The room was very quiet and the bed was so comfortable we hated to get out in the morning. We booked a mini suite on the third floor (no elevators) which made the journey upward a bit tiring on a couple in their late 70's. The staff kept the room and the entire building clean. Breakfast was simple with the usual fare. As far as food, there are a wealth of eateries close by ranging from quick and cheap to full course dining - with prices to match. You can't go wrong staying here - great place!

The property was absolutely beautiful. The staff was incredible. The continental breakfast was really good. The room was so quiet especially at night which I loved. If your looking to explore there's tons of things to do within walking distance no more than 15 minutes. A great experience indeed I'll definitely be back again.

We were welcomed by the nicest gentleman. We arrived early and he told us all about the history of Philadelphia and made suggestions for where to go. We were so glad he did because our tour later that day was canceled due to rain so we wouldn’t have learned much about Philadelphia if he hadn’t of spent that extra time with us! It was a very comfortable place and we enjoyed the historic nature of the hotel.

Very responsive to changing needs as plans changed. Wonderful experience from check in to check out from breakfast to the room to the bar next door. Every member of the staff was helpful and full of information. Excellent!

This very historic property is comfortably maintained with full bookshelves everywhere. The vibe is comfort with lots of public sitting areas inside and in courtyards. Rooms and bathrooms are historically homey and feature period furniture. Convenient to all the history attractions.

The property represents a slice of Philadelphia’s colonial past. I love the fact that the house was preserved and turned into a small, lovely, clean, affordable hotel.

My husband and I had stayed in Philadelphia before, but our experiences were just average. Our recent stay at the Morris House, however, was exceptional! From the moment we stepped through the gates and were greeted by Jerry (who is absolutely awesome, by the way), we knew we were in for a special experience.
Everything about our stay was exceptional, from the delicious morning breakfast to the delightful afternoon tea time. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality truly made a difference. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Philly. We're already looking forward to coming back!
