Enjoyed our overnight stay but disappointed with the small things that we really expected to be better in a5-star hotel. Cleanliless and comfort very good and staff very nice but service very slow (not enough staff working!) and breakfast options disappointing

I've reviewed the hotel stay separately through a survey from them. Overall this is a beautiful hotel and was a lovely place to stay. We would have spent more money dining at the hotel had it been better staffed; it was too difficult to get service when we were hungry. But goodness, if you get a chance to stay here, take it! We absolutely loved our room and our view. The hotel itself is just beautiful.

Not as central as other hotels. Free parking next to a lidl supermarket & homestore and more. Areas a bit worn around the hotel so definitely starting to show its age. We had breakfast included (very average not 5 star) and also given complimentary proseco on check in.

We checked in for one night with the most helpful, lovely gentlemen unfortunately I didn’t get his name. Upon checking out, the people at reception were not as helpful. However, the Bellman was delightful. Beautiful room no complaints.

The bedrooms were very comfortable and excellent showers .. The background music in the hotel was far too loud.. breakfast definitely wasn’t in keeping with a five star hotel.. my husband who is coeliac had no choice of GF beer

A beautiful hotel and very accommodating staff. The only thing that I can mark down on was the fact that there was an issue with the water in our room whilst my husband was mid-shower however the staff were very apologetic. Breakfast was stunning and service was very speedy. Would definitely recommend.

2 night stay and could not fault this hotel. Staff were exceptional and went out of their way to assist us. Room was clean and spacious and very quiet. Walkable to the restaurants (around 20 mins). We would most definitely stay again.

Loved this hotel! 5 minute drive to city center. Rooms were well appointed. Restaurant, tea room and bar areas were gorgeous! Staff was well trained, friendly and professional. The only downside was the dark corridors leading to our rooms; it didn't coordinate with the rest of the hotel (restaurant, bar etc) and felt a bit creepy walking to our room.

We got the Lakeview suite and it was magical! So comfy, so spacious, so incredible. Hotel dinner and breakfast was the best we have had in our time in Ireland! ❤️ We even overslept by an hour! Must stay!

This was such a lovely hotel! The staff was kind and always made sure you were taken care of. They also had complimentary parking which was a plus too. The room was always stocked with coffee and biscuits as well as water. It was a bit further away from the main town but I would still stay here in a heart beat!

Great room, big, comfortable, big bathroom with double shower. All good. Spa less so. 15 euros for guests, which is fine but and while it looks the part it's small, stuff didn't work (the steam room was shut) and lots of the reclining beds in the upstairs chill out area (which is a lovely space) didn't work. I fed this back to spa staff, paid, and then got an email saying they'd give a refund. It never arrived. Pointed this out and was sent a refund receipt (a refund for double the amount I'd paid but it was to someone else, so they must have complained too) . Pointed this out and was promised a refund but it's not been made so I give up and would say nice hotel on edge of a retail park, bit of a walk into town (a good 25 mins), and customer service needs a rethink.

We upgraded our room, so it was fantastic. The courtesy car driver was absolutely great! I think the hotel could work on its housekeeping…you don’t get refills of anything, creamers for coffee, salts for the bath, or even toilet paper. I would stay there again, but breakfasts need to improve.

Extremely dated, cracked grout, very worn bathroom tapware, old carpets. More like an old, run-down motel room, not a five-star hotel. Room smelled of stale cigarettes, & had no easily-accessible bedside outlets. The shower didn't drain, which left us standing in a pool of dirty water. On leaving feedback, staff offered to send up air fresheners for the smell, which we repeatedly declined as strong smells give me migraines. Staff also said maintenance would fix the shower drain first thing in the morning. Maintenance hadn't arrived by 9am, which delayed our day as we had been waiting for them. We followed up with front desk, who said maintenance would be by later that morning. As we returned to our room, housekeeping was finishing up & once they left, we noticed a very strong air freshener smell as soon as we went in - even though we'd clearly said we didn't want air freshener at all. Cue migraine. Even after maintenance, the shower barely drained & we were still left showering in pool of dirty water for remainder of stay. We arranged to collect breakfast pack at 4.45am day of check-out, as needed to leave hotel by 5am to catch flight from Belfast. Staff assured us this was no problem. Day of check-out, we go at 4.45am to collect breakfast pack & leave, but staff said they weren't advised of this, then said will take 5 mins to prepare & disappeared for over 30 mins instead of completing our check-out. We booked this for our honeymoon; very disappointing experience.
