The service was outstanding. From checkin, the valet, the door guys, the breakfast crew and house cleaning. My husband and my child stayed one night and had a really great time. We utilized the gym, pool, and hot tub which were all great. The breakfast buffet staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was very good too, they had a large spread of options. We thought we left an ear bud and the house cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly about it over the phone, we ended up finding the ear bud in our luggage when we got home. Basically everyone was so helpful and accommodating.

I book a room at the Intercontinental Hotel for my family each time they visit me in San Francisco. It’s a much more comfortable stay than my small apartment! They like the hotel and the services. Will reserve a room here again soon!

Always have a great time at the SF intercontinental! Love the location. Easy access to mass transit. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood. Splurged this time and got a junior suite on a higher floor. Room was huge and had an amazing view of the city skyline and the bay.

Property is great! Staff too. Indoor pool. But just a couple blocks away are homeless. Not hotels fault. And it’s very safe and clean around and near hotel.

They generally do not like it when you make a reservation through Expedia. They tried to upsell the room that I had already purchased.

Amazing hotel, with great courteous staff and nice spacious rooms (nice facilities as well). Unfortunately SF is in a terrible state in downtown and SoMa, with crazy people roaming around and screaming most time of the day, shops are closed and almost no regular citizen around. Enjoy the hotel and run fast to another location with Uber.

We stayed here in August 2024 on our visit to SF. The hotel is located in the Downtown area, and we felt quite safe walking around the area.
The room was nice and cleaned on a daily basis, and the beds were very comfortable.
We had breakfast one morning which was quite nice. I'm not sure if the buffet is worth the money at $39 though. The evening meal was nice too, and the staff were friendly there.
The pool was adequate, but I think the photo makes it look better than it is, and the jacuzzi didn't have much power.
The lobby area leading to the bar and restaurant is a bit odd (the signer was under the stairs).
Overall, our stay was OK, but I don't think I would return here. The hotel was missing something, and didn't have much character.

Was not told information about parking . Was forced to do valet for $74

Average and unremarkable hotel in a poor part of town with some rough streets. Helpful and friendly concierge. Noisy room times. Expensive parking.

My new favorite hotel in SF. I love the SOMA neighborhood and it’s great to have such a modern, sleek, and friendly place to stay that is walking distance from everything. If you’re new to SF, SOMA is more of an arts and clubbing district with lots of awesome historical lofts and industrial era workshops.

Did not know the pool was indoors. Not to mention turn the wrong corner and you will be on skid row. They were going to refund but I couldn’t get a hold of you guys. They said I need to go through your team first

hotel has charged for kids breakfast almost the same amount as resort fee and tax which is not that great. only adults were covered under the package of breakfast and children were excluded. when the bill came i felt like almost the four of us has paid for our breakfast given the tax was almost equal to the 3 days breakfast charges of kids. hotel bath room esp the shower area was not cleaned well and there were dust of the floor mat and beds were not so comfortable for two people to sleep

No room service after 9 pm which is inconvenient since some people travel in late and are hungry. We had to walk two blocks and the first block was fine but then there were a lot of homeless people roaming around setting up at that time. Came back the bar was closed at 10, so I guess because this hotel is located in a bad part of town they close things down early. Also, hidden fees, they charged me 30 dollars for amenity fees, really what amenities and I payed through Expedia and they did not charge me for this nor when I check in did they tell me I had to pay 30 extra dollars for their non existent amenities. Furtheremore, if you have a vehicle that stays there over night its 80 dollars. I have stayed at better hotels in SF and they only charge 50. I wish I could remember the name of the hotel but it was beautiful, room service 24 hrs and no hidden fees. Will never come here nor recommend this horrible place to anyone I know.

Brilliant staff with great knowledge. Just felt a bit unsafe with all the homelessness nearby.

The room was nice but the front desk woman was bossy & rude to us after I asked why we had to pay extra $110+. Turns out that we had to pay for valet parking ($80+) & “urban fee” ($30+). I would have given this hotel 5/5 stars but they don’t have to be rude when you’re questioning the bill since I’m expecting minimal fees because I used my one key points.

The area was kind of sketchy but that’s just San Francisco, I wish there was more seating around the pool!
