The hotel is in the best location of Sorrento! The staff were not at all personable or friendly. They didn’t recognize the individual value each guest brings in their stay. The breakfast we “meh”, either instant foods or undercooked. Pool was great. Staff on patio bar weren’t interested in service, waited for the guests to approach the bar for beverages or food.

Overall Hotel Plaza met expectations. I think it’s more charming than the pictures. A rooftop bar/restaurant and pool area that, while smaller, was a welcome option in the July heat. The views and breeze were lovely. The lobby and front-of-hotel seating areas for drinks and snacks were very cute and clean. The rooms were on the smaller side but they provided what we needed for our 2 day stay and the location was excellent.

I travelled to Sorrento with my two teenagers. We were looking for a place that would be a good jumping point to the Amalfi coast, Capri as well as a nice place to relax in the afternoon. This was our favourite hotel out of the entire 16 day trip. It’s a bit of a hike to get to any hotel from the ferry, but once you are there, you realize it is centrally located, the staff is professional and wonderful. The facilities are exceptional With large, clean rooms, bathrooms, slippers, extremely comfortable beds, balcony, a rooftop pool, a rooftop terrace with an option for drinks, a restaurant downstairs in the main lobby, and a full breakfast in the morning that was the best breakfast we had out of the seven different hotels we stayed at. We enjoyed being able to spend the day in Capri or Amalfi and then come back to the hotel and sit by the pool, go for an evening meal at one of the many restaurants in Sorrento, and then walk the little streets and do some touristy shopping. This hotel had everything you needed and more , and the service was outstanding. I have already recommended it to two friends who are going to Sorrento in September.

The Plaza in Sorrento was a leap of faith as we have never stayed in Sorrento before, so we weren’t sure where to book. This was hands down the best hotel, staff and facilities we have encountered. What a pleasure from check-in to departure. They made a birthday cake on special request from my husband, which was delicious and beautiful. They accommodated a slightly later check-out for one of our rooms. We booked 2 twin bed rooms as we needed bigger than a double bed. Rooms were together, quiet, such comfortable beds. The bathrooms were great with excellent water pressure and perfect temp adjustment. Everything worked great in our rooms (a/c), lights, etc. There was a cute small balcony. No view but we were there for 2 days and wanted quiet more than anything, so we did not care about our view. The breakfast offered was delicious. Keep in mind that food is cooked differently than in the U.S. Eggs, while cooked, have more moisture than Americans like and bacon is not cooked as well as most of us like. But they had a healthy juicing station with fruits and veggies, donuts, cereals, whole fruit, pastries, yogurt, muffins, pancakes, , hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, bread, coffees, juices. It was a huge spread and all tasty. The rooftop bar and pool are exquisite. Excellent views and fabulous service. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Be sure to go up at dusk and night to see the only town lights. We even were treated to fireworks! We will always stay at the Plaza!

Wonderful clean place with friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Bathroom was spacious. Luxurious amenities (robes and slippers, toiletries). Excellent location. Only negatives were USB ports (2) in the room weren't working. When traveling I always bring an adapter that has built in USB ports since, in my experience, most hotel rooms only have one port or none that work. Also, Hotels.com website says the hotel has a business center and computer access; it doesn't. Buffet breakfast was superb: everything from eggs w breakfast meats, smoothies, cold cuts, breads, fruits, juices, jams, buns, desserts and more. Coffees incl capuccino, coffee americano (and decaf). A/C worked great and easy to control. Two capacious (for Europe) elevators.

Accessibility was excellent from the train station and handicap accessible at the plaza itself. Reception staff extended a warm welcome and were very helpful with any questions. Breakfast fare was delicious and abundant.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Sorrento. We had a room at the back of the hotel on the first floor so it was a little dark and hadn’t got the greatest view but was nice and quiet. Rooftop bar and pool were great with fantastic views. All the staff were so friendly. We were spoilt for choice at breakfast and my husband also enjoyed a couple of sessions in the gym. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. My son really enjoyed the rooftop pool. It isn’t huge, but we happened to be there when it wasn’t busy, so he had plenty of room to enjoy the pool. The view from the roof was fabulous. It is a short walk to the train station. There is plenty to walk to-shops, gelato, and restaurants.

Perfect place to stay!! Everyone was wonderful! Breakfast was great, roof top bar was fabulous. House keeping cleaned daily & always had fresh towels. Would highly recommend.
