The room is soooo small. I thought that wouldn’t really matter but it definitely does. If you have any suitcases you won’t be able to open them and if you do then you can’t walk around. The shower is super small as well.

Great stay here, large room and friendly staff. Breakfast was AMAZING, I had to stop myself from eating. Amazing view of the fortress and scenery from our room.

The Jufa Hotel is really a beautifull Hotel and they had the best breakfast we had during our private tour at different hotels.
I would have loved to stay longer here. Walkable to downtown. 5 to 10 minute walk from Bus Station, beautiful and clean rooms.
The only let down was the lady at reception who was rude and looked angry the whole time.
Friendliness does not cost anything after all.....

It was excellent with the exception of the cleaning of the room. I dropped a coin that rolled under the bed only to find an empty wine bottle and other garbage and the cups and glasses were not replaced with clean ones each day. The rest of the cleaning was good though.

Great location and excellent staff.

Specially about this location, the parking lot is minimal, too few spaces. I have stayed at JUFA Graz last year and both lack of cleanliness. In both hotels you find easily lots of cockroaches in your room (I have photos to prove it). JUFA Graz was needing room renovation also. This JUFA was Ok, new rooms, but the cockroach problem seems a JUFA chain issue. A particular person of the staff was not necessarily rude, but with minimal patience. And I saw her shouting with a guest that was complaining about here reservation. They say they have a restaurant but it only servers snacks. I have ordered a simple pizza and it came burden. Not sure if I will come back.

Good hotel, about 10 min walk from old town. Clean and peaceful. Parking can be tricky and expensive.

Nice quiet location. The property can be renovated to better conditions. One of the windows had a crack but did not leak.

Family friendly property close to sporting complex, walking distance to historic attractions. Parking limited. Would recommend.

Within walking distance to Old Town, shops and restaurants making it very convenient. The hotel staff was efficient and the rooms very clean. I would stay here again.

Coming by bus was a bit hard to find the location. The hotel was great.

The room was clean and well appointed. Very comfortable bed and though small, had lots of small details that made it easy stay. The lounge was lovely for cocktails and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

I added a second night to our stay and confirmed via chat that we could stay in the same room for both nights, with a bunk bed for our two boys. However we were put in two separate rooms and had to clear all our stuff out for our family of 5 by 8 am to make a tour we had booked at 9 am. When I tried to return the keys to the desk there was an incredibly long line and after waiting for fifteen minutes I just set them on the desk and said I just need to drop the keys without checking out because we're staying another night. The man at the desk was SO RUDE, wouldn't even let me finish my sentence before yelling at me that he only had too hands and I had to wait like everyone else. I didn't need him to do anything, only needed to turn in the room keys to our night one room, so we didn't miss our tour. After trying to explain this he only got more angry at me so I just left. SO INCREDIBLY RUDE and brought me to tears. Awful service.
In addition we booked this hotel solely for the indoor kids playground. However they had apparently rented the space out to a kids birthday party and it was so crowded my kids couldn't even play on it.

Unfortunately you could hear the neighbours also when they used the bathrooms and the aircon even when it was turned off made a noise all night.

Great value hotel. Clean, all the facilities you need. Amazing views of the castle from the hotel and bedroom Windows. Super family friendly with an amazing two story play room with glass window from bar for parents to watch whilst enjoying a drink. Highly recommend for your next city break to Salzburg with kids

I have traveled a lot. I do not have the American expectations that some people have an actually relish in the cultural differences when traveling. That said... The rooms at Jufa were really small. There was nowhere to put the suitcases or clothes. No dressers, no closet, and we tripped over the bags the whole trip. That was not a big issue. We could make do.
The hotel is about a mile from eveything that was going on in Salzburg. We had to walk through a residential area to get to the touristy stuff. We love to walk, so again, no big deal.
The breakfast was the smallest selection I have ever experienced in Germany. We stayed at two small boutique guest houses on either side of this portion of the trip and received huge selections which were included in the price of the room. This one was very limited and cost us $20 a person. We can kind of get past that too.
What I couldnt get past was being chewed out because my wife didnt join me for breakfast. I was skiing and she wanted to sleep in, but the breakfast hostess didnt like the fact that we werent in the lounge together. She gave me the third degree and then again to my wife when she came down to breakfast. That experience was NOT worth $20 per person.

The staff was so friendly. The room was small but it was so clean and comfortable and quiet. The parking was really easy and all the tourist sites were close to the hotel. This is a great hotel

Very clean, modern hotel with newer furnishings at a reasonable price and 15 minute walk to center of Old Salzburg (Christmas Market). For a short stay, this hotel fit the bill! Staff was responsive and checking in / out was quick and easy.
Only downside: Rooms are very small, pillows are Ikea grade and flatten easily, towels are a little rough.
If I were coming to Salzburg for a night or two, I would not hesitate to stay here. If I was staying longer I might look for more room to stretch out.

We liked this Jufa for so many reasons. The desk staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was spotless, quiet, equipped with A/C, comfortable bed and linens, and a bar for snacks, drinks, and coffee 24 hours. There was a lovely outdoor seating area as well. Kids areas looked well equipped for families with little ones. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast most mornings because it was extensive and delicious.
The old town is walking distance and the bus stop just a short walk away. Public transportation in and around Salzburg is easy to use.
We had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay at this Jufa again!!!

Our stay at Das Franzl was a very pleasant eperience. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
Facilities and cleanliness were excellent.
Hotel is only a 10 minute walk from st wolfgang lake.
We had a livly afternoon on the Thursday, feeding the Alpacas !
Enjoyed the burger night on the Friday.
There are few flies around, probably because of the ponies and alpacas but that cant be helped.

Hotel is in a great location - 10 minutes walk to the city centre. On-site parking. Room was comfortable and well-equipped. We had a mountain view across fields. Breakfast was plentiful.
We tried the restaurant one evening but the range of food options was limited so we ate out the second night. We would stay here again.

This is a nice hotel and in a pretty good location. The service was hit or miss however. It was a major inconvenience to them when we asked for ice for example. The second and third night we asked for ice we were denied all together.

We stayed in Salzburg for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Christmas Markets and “Old Town” Salzburg. It overlooks the castle and has a great breakfast and bar/lounge area. The hotel staff was very helpful in getting us a taxis do we could catch an early morning train. Overall, great place to stay in Salzburg.

Worst check in experience ever, they put me in a room which was clearly not cleaned before, hair on the mattress, pillows, used glasses on the desk, bathroom also dirty with hair, stains, used and wet towel, to make it worse, I’ve booked a triple room and the second bed was not set and there were no sheets, pillows and towels for the 3rd guest. Went to reception, complained about everything and the receptionist managed to find another room for me and my family, a clean room, however with no bed set for my daughter, had to wait some more time to checked in a decent room, in short, it took 2 hours after the actual check in time to settle in properly. Besides that, the hotel’s installations are fine, the breakfast well served and the kids area is great, my daughter loved it.

Nice affordable hotel. Great location. Easy walk to the Old Town but far enough that it was quiet.
Rooms are small but clean and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. Dinner options were limited. However there is a really nice restaurant in the building next door.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Air condition in the room did not work. Had keep the window open with a very noisy crowed below. The room and bathroom is very small.

I really can't understand why this hotel is 2 stars only; great and very friendly service, well assorted breakfast, very quiet location in walking distance to the Salzburg old town, nice beds in clean but tiny rooms/bathrooms with no minibar nor water boiler in the room (if you need that).
Parking is a bit expensive and could/should be included.
Also a nice outdoor space with tables and lounge areas where you can see the castle. Get a room on the entrance side and you can even see the castle from the room.

Nice, simple, reasonably priced and convenient

Easy access to all the sights we wanted to see. There was an issue with our reservation, but they handled it well. It was clean and well maintained.
