We loved our stay at Aethrio Sunset Village. The property is very charming and we loved our quirky apartment as well. It was a quiet oasis in the heart of Oia. It was nice to have a pool and a lot of patio space to retreat from the crowds at times. There was also outdoor seating for breakfast. It is located close to the bus stop with easy signage to find your way and very convenient to the top sights in beautiful Oia. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The only thing that we would have liked improved was that our mattress was too firm for our liking.

This is an amazing hotel to stay at in Santorini! Big shoutout to the lovely Foni and George who are super helpful and work hard to make your experience lovely. It's located in the heart of Oia and the hotel is like a peaceful oasis of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets! I loved the room we were in, a studio for 4 people, the views were amazing and the room was clean and spacious. The breakfast is so delicious-the daily fresh pastries, juice, eggs and fresh bread were lovely. Restaurants are plenty nearby and the iconic blue domes are only a 2-3 minute walk from one of the entrances. The pool is clean and very deep (2.6m at the deep side). I would suggest booking a transfer with the hotel (45 euros) as the porter helps with your bags and if it's your first time visiting Santorini you might not know which streets to go down. The biggest/most amazing factor of all is the sunset terrace! We stayed for the evenings to watch the gorgeous sunset fall over the town of Oia, there is also a dome (or 2) in the backdrop of the terrace view so you can have a mini photoshoot! Overall 10/10 experience! Thank you guys for making my birthday trip so memorable!!

Hotel Aethrio is the perfect hotel in Santorini. Great rooms, friendly staff and an ideal location that is close to the island’s best views, attractions and restaurants. Based in the heart of Oia, it is just a 5 minute walk to the famous blue dome viewing point and is surrounded by independent eateries and local retailers. The staff are extremely helpful and provide recommendations, local knowledge and assistance. This includes allowing you to use the facilities before and after you check-in to aid with flight times. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a private kitchen. Plus, there is a great pool, daily breakfast and two balconies that provide beautiful sunset views so you don’t need to compete with the crowds at local beauty spots. Overall, I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Santorini.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week here. The hotel complex is idyllic, all freshly whitewashed, spotless and charming. The pool was a real bonus too. It sits right in the centre of Oia on top of all the lovely restaurants and shops. We stayed in a triple apartment. The beds were very comfortable but ours was only a double and pushed up to the wall. This could not be helped due to the small size of the upstairs bedroom, and still very charming, but something to bear in mind. The breakfasts were very good and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you want to stay in Oia, this hotel can not be beaten and I would highly recommend it.

Although the property does not overlook the caldera, it is very centrally located. It is just off the main stretch and all the action but as soon as you step into the property, it is very quiet and homey. Staff are all very friendly. Aethrio was wonderful! Our room was apartment style, just near the pool. It was so clean and comfortable. There are 3 exits from the hotel which proved useful based on where we were walking to- one of them leads right onto the main area which was very convenient. The pool was lovely, though a bit deep in the shallow end. The views were stunning and the whole place was clean. I very highly recommend!

The hotel was very responsive and helpful in that they organized airport pickup/dropoff, recommended great tours, and we were able to still use the facility even after check out while we waited for our flight. The breakfast was delicious and the menu slightly changed every day. The hotel is at a great location and less than 5 minute walk to the blue domes.

If your looking to stay in Santorini on a budget but also wanting to be in the thick of it with a pool this hotel couldn’t be anymore perfect. All the famous Santorini sights are minutes away walking distance from the hotel, the hotel grounds are very cute and well kept and it has a lovely pool area which is unusual for a hotel in central Oia. The hotel is also surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants. John on reception was an absolute gem, super helpful, gave us lots of recommendations and couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms are a little out dated in decor however it had a very Greek feel to it which was nice and the room and bathroom we had was huge. The hotel organised our transport from the hotel and they were there waiting for us on arrival even though our flight was slightly delayed. Highly recommend this hotel, I would definitely stay there again.

The property is very pretty and clean. Most importantly it is absolutely centrally located. You just step out and you are in the middle of Oia. The main tourist area is your backyard. What a wonderful stay. We book 2 rooms for our 3 night stay. Location, staff, and service was perfect. Views from our rooms and private balconies were spectacular and rooms were spacious. Breakfast was more than adequate to get us started. Lots of homemade items and bake goods to select from. Situated right in the heart of Oia. Highly recommend!!! Well manicured, very clean, and good location, but a couple downsides- the cleaning staff entered our room even when the do-not-disturb sign was on the door; and when we paid for a late night transfer, the driver took someone to the other side of the island before taking us to the hotel, taking a lot of extra time and made us feel unsafe. The staff didn't believe that this happened, and wouldn't take a discount off of the steep fee.

This is one of the more affordable villa properties in the Oia area but it’s still a gorgeous stay, with very photogenic rooms and grounds throughout the village. It has its own roof terrace for viewing of the sunset, which is very convenient and helps you avoid competing with thousands of other people for a picture. The staff are very personable and helpful. The breakfast is great. It’s very close to the main attractions in the area, and to the main transportation drop off and the dining and shopping areas that you’ll want to hit.

The staff was very pleasant. Cleanliness is spotless. The area is excellent right in the center of Oia. No need to book outside for subset view as it has open balcony upstairs for everybody to hang out and watch for sunrise and sunset. Breakfast is delicious. They will book taxi back and forth to the airport of your choice. Definitely going back here. Highly recommended.

Perfect location, just a beautiful boutique hotel! It just screams “Greece” and we loved our stay! The front desk has amazing customer service from the emails as soon as we booked to offering to arrange transfer or a rental car (get the rental car!!) to personally showing us to our room after giving us a welcome drink (the white wine is excellent here). They have a beautiful pool and rooftop terrace and I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!!!
